Scrum Values and Principles: Design of a Multimedia Learning Environment for the Study Programme English in Electrical Engineering and Informatics

This bachelor’s thesis aims to provide a theoretical framework for the application of the Agile method, namely Scrum, into the English Language Teaching process. Besides, the thesis contains a practical part that serves as an illustrative example of such an implementation presented for demonstration purposes in an environment of a lightweight management software named Trello. The Content and Language Integrated Learning approach is used to assist in the accomplishment of the objectives set in the thesis. Provided that CLIL is a dual-focused method, the Trello board comprises the materials of the subject Electrical Engineering taught in the English in Electrical Engineering and Informatics study programme at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Communications at Brno University of Technology. Therefore, the practical part combines both a professional subject and linguistically oriented materials.

Využití metody EduScrum ve výuce přírodopisu na základní škole

Tato práce byla zaměřena na výukovou metodu eduScrum a její využití ve výuce přírodopisu na druhém stupni základní školy konkrétně v sedmém a osmém ročníku. Hlavním cílem bylo charakterizovat tuto metodu a zjistit, jaké uvedli žáci její silné a slabé stránky, co si odnesli pro sebe a jaké hrozby vnímali. Dále také jaké náměty na zlepšení metody měli. Vedlejším cílem bylo vymezit cíle přírodovědného vzdělávání všeobecně a definovat aktivizační metody, mezi které metoda EduScrum patří. Jako výzkumný nástroj byla zvolena upravená SWOT analýza. Výpovědi žáků byly dále zpracovány kvalitativně metodou otevřeného kódování. Výsledek výzkumné části ukázal, že žáci jako hlavní silnou stránku metody EduScrum uvedli týmovou spolupráci. Jako nejslabší stránka byla žáky zmíněna nespolupráce. Tento paradox byl vysvětlen na základě dvou teorií motivace - sebedeterminační a nastavení mysli. Největší přínos bylo pro žáky prohloubení znalostí v daných tématech. Největší hrozbu spatřovali žáci v nespolupráci a na ní navázaných rizicích nestihnutí práce a obdržení špatné známky. Pro zlepšení metody uvedli žáci většinou irelevantní návrhy, které nejsou realizovatelné nebo se neslučují s metodikou EduScrum.
