Laboratory Tasks for Analogue Technology

Subject Analog Technology focuses on basic analogue functional blocks and their usage in modern electronic devices. Theoretical part of a particular topic is taught at lectures and laboratory exercises are used to demonstrate specific examples to strengthen student’s knowledge. This paper contains comprehensive manuals with measuring procedures for all compulsory laboratory tasks, for students, to better understand all topics discussed in the subject Analog Technology. These manuals include theory regarding certain topic, mandatory tasks for students, connection diagrams and in some cases, necessary math equations to calculate outcome values. To verify correctness of a working procedure and for clarity an oscilloscope will be utilized. These manuals also contain tables as attachments, which are prepared to be printed and filled in with calculated values that are the outcome of some laboratory tasks. The main purpose of this thesis is to enhance the level of knowledge of students attending the subject Analog Technology and to improve effectiveness of the work in laboratories.

Využití analogového obrazu v divadle

V této bakalářské práci se budu zabývat fenoménem analogového obrazu v divadle i jiných uměleckých tvarech. Toto téma se pokusím reflektovat pomocí autorského projektu Chambre of minds, na kterém jsem pracovala uplynulý rok mého studia na DAMU. V úvodu se pokusím osvětlit, co pro mě značí pojem analogový obraz, v první části se zaměřím na fotografii, filmový materiál a vše co s ním souvisí jak v rovině teoretické, tak i technické. Poté tyto pojmy uvedu v kontextu divadla, zaměřím se na inspirační materiály a umělce, kteří se tohoto dotýkají.
V praktické části nejdříve nastíním fundamentální myšlenky a specifika uměleckého proudu Art brut, který je v mém projektu úzce provázaný s obrazem a fotomateriálem. Poté vysvětlím základní koncept projektu Chambre of Minds, nadále popíši technologické principy použitých objektů. Poté se budu zabývat celkovým procesem tvorby během dvou uplynulých semestrů a otázkou performance. Posléze nastíním téma fotografie jako nositele idei v divadle, a tuto myšlenku aplikuji na imerzivním divadle Pomezí. Oba tyto projekty porovnám z hlediska využití analogového materiálu a principu fotografie v divadle. Na závěr shrnu všechny dosavadní zkušenosti a pokusím se nastínit výsledek mého bádání v rámci analogového obrazu.

Karlheinz Stockhausen a Beatles

The text proposes to describe the relationship between Karlheinz Stockhausen and the work of The Beatles in the late sixties regarding especially their album Sgt. Pepper s Lonely Hearts Club Band. It compares how they worked within the same technnical system and it shows changes that occured in music with the conception of studio as a musical instrument. On a more general level, one theme of the text is the difference between so called serious, or avantgarde music and popular music. Through comparing the way Stockhausen and The Beatles approached a few selected aspects of music making, it presentes them next to each other rather than against each other. Another general theme is the relationship between technical inovation and music creation.
