Krejsová, Aneta ; Janok, Jakub (referee) ; Sátora, Josef (advisor) ; Hradil, Dušan (advisor)
Bachelor’s thesis „Romany housing“ deals with the issue of underprivileged accomodation. This is a complex of four apartment buildings and one community center. It is located on the site in Brno-Maloměřice. The site is flat, it is surrounded by little terraced houses on one side and large prefabricated metal halls on the other side. Apartment buildings respond to the surroundings by creating transition between little houses and large halls - they have relatively large mass, but it is split by saw-tooth roof that creates illusion of terraced houses. Main idea of the project is layout variability - it reacts to various number of romany family members. Single apartement building has two storeys, community center has one story and basement. Supporting structure is made of aerated concrete blocks. The foundations are made of non-reinforced concrete, the roof is partly saw-tooth, partly flat. Bachelor’s thesis includes a model and a detail of recessed railing in reinforcedconcrete wall which carries the exterior staircase.

Concept uses straw-bale building technology which is suitable technology for self-building. Applicants for inhabitation are building together their new houses - houses they would understand. During construction work new social relations between incoming inhabitants are coming up. This should positively influence their future co-living. The project of Romany Housing is located in Brno, the urban district Maloměřice. Architecturally, it is designed as a low-rise row housing, taking into consideration the special requirements of the Romani community, such as living in larger families. Functionally, the structure is designed as a socialized housing with certain level of government support. The housing development is variable. The basis of the project are two types of houses, which alternate in the row-house structure. Moreover, each one of these types also offers different solutions altering the capacity. The houses are designed to be easily extended, even while being used. The construction is wooden, using environmentally-friendly material for cladding – ecopanels. The rows of houses follow the perimeter of the parallelogram of the site and create a peaceful relaxation area in the middle, suitable for free time activities. From the architectural point of view, the new housing development fits into the current image of the location in this quiet part of Brno, which is dominated by small houses with gabled roofs. The new buildings are characterized by asymmetrical gable and windows playfully placed in an asymmetrical pattern. Another distinctive element is the facade, which combines trapezoidal metal sheet and wooden cladding.

Tymoshenko, Anna ; Pospíšil, Zdeněk (referee) ; Boháč, Ivo (advisor)
The main idea of the project was to create a comfortable residential complex, in which there is no exact border between the nature and the city. Whole concept is based on creating a "green city", where people will feel comfortable not only to live, but to relax and spend their free time, with no urge to escape from modern concrete jungles. 5 houses, that are situated on a land, have east-west orientation, all apartments have either east, west or south orientation. The are designed to suit people from different age and social groups: small and big families and seniors. In every house there is a big social room on the 5th floor, together with a big terrace- for making different activities without having to leave a building. Important part of a concept are green roofs, space on which can be used either for placing solar panels or plants.

Krajan, Viktor ; Kyselka, Mojmír (referee) ; Makovský, Zdeněk (advisor)
Architecture, emanating from philosophy of design, shows the concept of arrangement of eight volumes with a free pattern which generates the maximum amount of open and light space. Structure of the plot is composed of seven apartment buildings and solitary villa. Design of residential complex consists of clear line of public and semi-public space, which complements urbanism of this design. Mass of objects respects the surrounding scale and thereby does not interfere with the surrounding nature and buildings. Functional filling includes a residential function with using of the surrounding area. The layout of the building is designed as a three tracts with four above-ground floors and one underground floor. In the first three above-ground floors are designed two housing units and in a fourth above-ground floor is one housing unit. The Citizens with Officially Cancelled Permanent Residency on Territory the Ceske Budejovice
HOLZÄPFELOVÁ, Vlasta
Permanent address is very important information for each citizen of the Czech Republic as it is closely linked to some rights and obligations exercised. A citizen of the Czech Republic may only be registered for permanent address at one place, usually where he/she has his/her family, flat or job. The permanent address location however does not have to be connected with the real place of residence and the bachelor thesis focuses on this reality, which often complicates citizens? lives. The origins and purpose of permanent address is examined from the historical point of view with links to the present situation. The bachelor thesis deals with the exact definition of the institute of permanent address of citizens of the Czech Republic and with a relatively new phenomenon of citizen registration, the possibility of so called official permanent address cancellation if the address does not correspond with the place where a citizen really lives. A house owner or a new lessor then exercises his/her right and files an application for cancellation of permanent address of a former lessee that is still registered at the address. During the administration procedure the lessee is asked to re-register voluntarily to another address upon valid right of use, if he/she fails to do that within a set deadline the address is officially cancelled, he/she is formally registered to a registration address, and the registration office of the municipality in whose territory the permanent address was cancelled then becomes the permanent address. The issue of permanent address cancellation brings numerous aspects not only in the context of the phenomenon of homelessness. The purpose is to point out the fact that not all the people with officially cancelled permanent address are homeless and still they are people who solve urgent living conditions and other existential anxieties. The bachelor thesis focuses on the territory of České Budějovice, its goal is to map the structure of the citizens with officially cancelled permanent address in the territory from the gender point of view. Another aim of the thesis is to find out in which parts of České Budějovice applications for permanent address cancellation are the most frequent and except others to propose a prognosis of the number of citizens with officially cancelled permanent address in České Budějovice. The fact showing certain relation between officially cancelled permanent address and escalated crime in selected area of České Budějovice seems to be a very interesting indicator. Demographic data processing is based on quantitative research performed upon own work experience by means of analysis of secondary data and trends from documents of opened administration procedures, their course and from already issued administration decisions on permanent address cancellation at the territory of České Budějovice.
