Properties of the physical layer of ZigBee

The ZigBee standart works on using physical and data link layer of IEEE 802.15.4 standart. Three bands were defined (2.4GHz, 915MHz and 868MHz). There was also number of physical layers defined, each of them using one of the three bands and number of modulation and spreading functions. This thesis is focused first of all on specification 2,4GHz physical layer, which is world-wide used because this band can be used (with observace of the local rules) without license. Thesis is in its first part focused on modulation function, as well on used spreading functions and number of channels for each physical layer. In the second part is paid attention to demonstration kit by ATMEL Corporation, which enables associate a simple network in star topology and using the network for demonstration of simple functions of associated devices, and kit by Radiocrafts corporation, which is used in laboratory work. Laboratory work is focused on characteristics measurement during data transfer.
Design of the user-friendly touch screen GUI and a physical connection to an existing simulation hardware device

Práce uvádí základní informace o průmyslové sběrnici AS-Interface a popisuje její funkce. Dále se zabývá rozšířením stávajícího FTZ AS-Interface Slave Simulátoru o dotykový display, který značně usnadní ovládání tohoto simulačního nástroje. Je zde nastíněn návrh a řešení uživatelského dotykového rozhraní k tomuto simulátoru s použitím Amulet LCD modulu STK 480272C. Vývoj tohoto rozhraní je proveden pomocí GEMstudia, softwaru firmy Amulet Technologies a grafických programů. Dále tato studie pojednává o softwarové úpravě FTZ AS-i Slave Smilulátoru. Jedná se o úpravu řídícího FPGA v jazyce VHDL zajišťující komunikaci s dotykovým displejem. Poslední kapitola se týká problematiky spojené s návrhem uživatelsky přívětivé aplikace.
Power line transfer function generator

The aim of this thesis is to create a power line transfer function generator in Matlab. Work on introduction explains the concept of power line and describes the different types of topologies and types of cables that power line are the most widely used today. It is also discussed PLC technology, its structure, characteristics of the transmission channel and interferences. The following are approach the types of the modeling of power line. More details are described generally modeling in the frequency (two-port network model), which is used in the created generator. The next section provides a power line model, whose principle is used in the generator. The following is a description of created the generator and comparison with FTW PLC Simulator. In conclusion, the thesis presents the results of simulations the transfer function, which show the magnitude and phase frequency characteristics of different topologies and parameters.
Lighting control system using a wireless communication network

The aim of this thesis is to create and describe the wireless system for lighting control. A part of the work is the creation of modules for switching lighting and the creation of their operating programs. The first chapter briefly describes the way how the lighting control works and contains general requirements for the intelligent home. Further, there is a description of IQRF system, which serves as a wireless platform for the system. Next part of the thesis describes individual modules in terms of hardware and software. One part of the work covers the description of the transmission protocol. The attachment includes a listing of all operating programs for this wireless control system.

This thesis consider description of segments identified in image. At first there are described main methods of segmentation because it is a process contiguous before describing of objects. Next chapter is devoted to methods which focus on description identified regions. There are studied algorithms used for characterizing of different features. There are parts devoted to color, location, size, orientation, shape and topology. The end of this chapter is devoted to moments. Next chapters are focused on designing fit algorithms for segments description and XML files creating according to MPEG-7 standards and their implementation into RapidMiner. In the last chapter there are described results of the implementation.
FTTB Network Design

The purpose of this master’s thesis is to explain the issues of the FTTx network design. The main idea of this work is to describe to readers the methods of the designing the optical access networks. Especially we will speak about the building technologies and different topologies used in a practice. The different technologies of optical access networks’ building and various parameters, which are necessary to take into account in the designing of these networks, will be introduced. In the theoretical part, methods of measurement, which are like the needed part of each optical access networks’ building, will be described. Two purposes of the FTTB networks with all proprieties will be made and offered. One purpose will be solved by Point to Point topology and the second purpose will be solved by Point to Multipoint topology. Following the confrontation one of these purposes will be chosen and realized. By ITU recommendation, measurements will be performed on the built optical trace. The final protocols will be elaborated from these measurements. The built trace with all final reports will be prepared for assignment to the subscriber.
Topological and Attribute Revision of Digital Maps

The topic of this bachellor´s work is the attribute and topological revision of a digital map. In the work I have described geodetic software’s in which the revising is made with detailed description of functions for the attribute and topological revising of a digital map. I have applied these functions on particular data, and consequently I have created a pattern drawing of topological errors and a prescription of attribute revising of elements. The object of this work is the description of software’s works and functions for topological and attribute revising of a digital map and evaluation of these software´s achievements.
Meta-analysis of methodological artifacts of the phylogenetic imbalance.

The influence of possible methodological artifacts (e.g. type of data or tree construction methods) on the tree topology was evaluated. A total of 413 phylogenetic trees was downloaded from the tree repository TreeBASE. Three indices of topology imbalance were employed, namely, Fusco & Cronk index, weighted average, and Colless index. The study reveals that methodological artifacts have probably a weak influence on the tree shape. Therefore, patterns in tree balance could reflect macroevolutionary processess, not a methodological bias.

Architecture of FTTx networks

Bakalářská práce popisuje architekturu FTTx sítí. Snaží se odpovědět na otázky, jaké technologie a topologie jsou využívány a jaké architektury FTTx jsou nejčastěji zastoupeny. Pro pochopení základních souvislostí je zařazena část, která se týká podstaty přenosů po optických vláknech, jednotlivých typů vláken a základů optických sítí. Pro doplnění je popsána současná situace rozšíření FTTx sítí dle jednotlivých kontinentů: Asie, Evropa a Severní Amerika. Praktická část je reprezentována analýzou trhu optického přístupu k Internetu v ČR. Součástí Bakalářské práce je reálná případová studie optické přístupové sítě, vybudované společností Cabel Media s. r. o. Případovou studii doplňuje analýza návratnosti vložených prostředků.
