Computational analysis of the ball-on-three-balls test for determination of strength of ceramic laminates with residual stresses
Tooth Detection on Jaw 3D Computer Polygonal Model
Hulík, Rostislav ; Španěl, Michal (referee) ; Kršek, Přemysl (advisor)
This document discusses a concept and implementation of algorithms for teeth detection on 3D polygonal jaw model. At first, I describe possible shape detection techniques on three dimensional computer model, including utilization just in my case. After it, I analyze filtration problems of obtained model segments in order to reliably separate regions of tooth-arch from the rest of jaw. I included all these pieces of knowledge into a final application. Here, it is possible to choose from two user interfaces, first, classic user interface which demonstrates possible utilization in real world and second, testing interface which demonstrates functions of each detection and filtration method used in program and their effect on detection. Application is written in C++ language in development environment of MS Visual Studio 2005 and compiled with MS VS internal compiler. Tested was under MS Windows XP and MS Windows Vista OS.
Polygonal Mesh Segmentation
Povolný, Filip ; Polok, Lukáš (referee) ; Španěl, Michal (advisor)
This bachelor's thesis deals with methods of polygonal mesh segmentation. The method which was chosen for implementation is based on existing methods of segmentation driven by Gaussian curvature and feature-sensitive segmentation. The chosen method is further extended, tested and finally its results are compared with results of other automatic segmentations and with manually segmented meshes.
Tensors and their geometrical and mechanical applications
Kunz, Daniel ; Kureš, Miroslav (referee) ; Tomáš, Jiří (advisor)
In this thesis I describe construction of tensor algebra and its following usage of this magnificent structure for description of curved surfaces. This structure can be used in geometry or for example in mechanic. The thesis is focused on clear construction and if it is possible than to sustain visual aspect of current problem. Main task of this thesis was got the feel of tensor algebra and its construction and then use it on tasks in physic and mechanic.

USE OF THE SHAPE OF THE TRANSPORT NETWORK FOR EVALUATION OF THE SERVICE ACCESSIBILITY
Černický, David ; Štych, Přemysl (advisor) ; Laštovička, Josef (referee)
This thesis deals with factors influencing the average speed on Czech roads. Curvature and inclination of the slopes were selected among the main factors influencing the average speed. Until now, these factors have been considered at discrete intervals, not as continuous functions. The function for calculating the curvature is based on ČSN 73 6101, where the equation with all variables is directly defined. The functional relationship for the movement of vehicles in sloping terrain was created from data from scientific articles. Therefore, an algorithm was implemented in this thesis, which can automatically evaluate the average speed on the road network. Python was used to implement this algorithm. Furthermore, there is a testing section for travel times, which is validated using route planners and also supported by extensive field research. Testing took place in GIS using network analysis methods. Testing has shown that the inclusion of curvature and inclination will significantly improve the calculation of travel times. key words: network analyst, curvature, gis, algorithm
Influence of hardening model on the results of cros-roll straightening simulation
Meňhert, Samuel ; Kubík, Petr (referee) ; Petruška, Jindřich (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with simulation of cross-roll straightening using computational modeling with finite element method in software ANSYS. The main goal of this thesis is to quantify the influence of inaccurate knowledge of mechanical properties on the straightening process and correct setting of machine. It also aims for comparison of hardening models and their influence on the final curvature and residual stresses in the cross section of the bar.

Relationship between morphometric characteristics of the terrain and network analysis in GIS
Kufner, Jan ; Hudeček, Tomáš (advisor) ; Štych, Přemysl (referee)
The main objective of the diploma thesis is creation of methodology and automatization of calibration process of network graph based on the values of morphometric characteristics and motion vectors. The resulting morphometric values of the terrain have been detected on the basis of mathematical and cartographic methods for line course expression. The most accurate one has been used in GIS network analysis over the road network and digital terrain models, which were chosen as the most appropriate for this purpose. Relationship between morphometric values and values suitable for use in network analysis (speed, time, ...) has been studied using specific examples in appropriately selected territory with using selected vehicle, which was designated as a bicycle. The practical part for the verification of functionality of the suggested methodology has been compared with other models of accessibility, available web-map portals and route planners. The process of transport network evaluation based on selected parameters has been automated in Python programming language as a tool in ArcGIS software, which is attached to the diploma thesis.
