Passive houses, legislation, and support programs
Švaříčková, Klára ; Matějíček, Luboš (advisor) ; Přibil, Rudolf (referee)
The topic of this paper is passive houses. It shows the history of these buildings and presents economical and ecological reasons to build them. The paper also compares them with ordinary buildings. It discusses the importance of the right choice of the land and the house placement because of its solar radiation dependence. It shows, what components and procedures to use to achieve demanded parameters. It suggests right energy resources, which are suitable for passive houses. Informational and support programmes from Czech, but also from the whole world are being showed. It shows the level of basic knowledge of this topic among people and also their will to build these houses. The main goal is to present organised Informations about where how and why to build passive house. The paper also contains information about support Programmes and theirs feedback.
Improving energy efficiency in industry
Kovář, Štěpán ; Konečná, Eva (referee) ; Touš, Michal (advisor)
This Bachelor Thesis deals with the increase in energy efficiency in industry. The energy consumption is globally one of the cardinal topics. A significant part of the energy is consumed by industry, and therefore it is necessary to search for such measures to increase the energy efficiency of industrial processes. Current attitude aims at the installation of more effective machines, devices or the waste heat recovery. Especially the scientific community is concerned with the possibilities of process optimization from the point of settings and process integration, production planning, using software solutions. Both approaches are analysed in this work and based on that current state as well as the potential of the energy savings are evaluated.

A significant part of the energy is consumed by industry, and therefore it is necessary to search for such measures to increase the energy efficiency of industrial processes. Current attitude aims at the installation of more effective machines, devices or the waste heat recovery. This approach can lead to massive investment requirements of energy audits which means that the motivation of the enterprises to implement such audits is lowered. Especially the scientific community is concerned with the possibilities of process optimization from the point of settings and process integration, production planning, using software solutions. Both approaches are analysed from the potential of their use in this thesis.
Energy audit
Peichl, Petr ; Počinková, Marcela (referee) ; Horák, Petr (advisor)
The diploma thesis deals with the energy audit of the kindergarten building Špálova in Ostrava, according to order No. 480/2012 Sb. as amended. It is divided into three parts. The first part deals with the project of photovoltaic power plants in the energy audit, the second part analyzes the calculation procedures in the design of energy-saving measures and the third part completes the energy audit according to the requirements of the above-mentioned decree.
Energy Audit
Hrazdira, David ; Vyhlídalová, Karolína (referee) ; Horák, Petr (advisor)
The theme of this master's thesis is the elaborating of an energy audit according to the valid legislation in the Czech Republic a five-storey apartment building. The master's thesis consists of three main parts. Theoretical, Computional and Energy Audit. The theoretical part focuses on the theme of solar thermal collectors. In the calculation part, the energy consumption of the assessed object is analyzed in both the initial and the new state. The energy audit is drawn up in accordance the Decree number 480/2012 Sb. in the current version.

Who saves or does not saves the Energy - uncovering the Reasons for Practising Energy - saving Activities in Households
Holá, Veronika ; Ščasný, Milan (advisor) ; Jeřábek, Hynek (referee)
The thesis "Who saves or does not save the energy: Uncovering the reasons for practicing energy-saving activities in households" identifies the segments which tend to (not) perform selected household energy saving activities and discover the reasons behind the (non) practicing these activities. The author uses both quantitative and qualitative approach. By quantitative approach, the author analyzes data from pilot project PURGE in order to identify segments which are more likely to do selected activities. Emphasis is placed on class position. The author's own qualitative survey by semi-structured interviews identifies the reasons behind this activities. Generally, the author discovered that the upper classes practice energy- saving activities more often than the lower classes which is consistent with findings that lower classes tend to perform habitual behavior and rely on technology and upper classes tend to calculate and study the effect of these activities. Among lowest educational category are (compared with other educational groups) more people who leave always or often turned on the television or radio, even when no one is watching. Women state more likely than men that they never turn down heating when leaving home for more than four hours, what corresponds to findings that arise from...
Which one is the right one? Evaluation of buildings from the energy and costs saving perspective
Špot, Marek ; Říha, Cyril (advisor) ; Klápště, Petr (referee)
The thesis concentrates on residential buildings evaluation from energy and financial savings perspective. More than 40 % of the total man-induced energy consumption is directed to building construction and maintenance. In these buildings, we spend majority of our lives. The aim of the study is thus to support the discussion about the benefits from new, both energetically and environmentally considerate building trends. Theoretical part of the thesis is devoted to ecologically efficient family houses and their distinctive features in comparison to commonly built houses, whereas empirical part compares these building types from the energetic and financial viewpoint. Thesis goes on with most frequent ,myths' about sustainable architecture. As a conclusion, the study aims to point out which building type is the most advantageous in terms of energy, finance, sustainability etc. Keywords: Sustainable architecture, Passive house, Energy savings, Sustainable development
Energy saving buildings
Abstract: This work is concerned with questions of energy saving buildings, including introduction of reasons for their building-up. It refers about their characteristics and evaluated parameters for meeting it's requirements. Further it deals with the most important conditions for choosing of location for energy saving buildings and about recommended zoning of rooms according to cardinal points depending on solar radiation. Indicates the posibilities of composition...
