The Effect of Family Environment on the Psychological Ability of a Child

Abstraction: This research is focusing on psychological resilience, not only from the general point of view including its differing definitions, brief history and factors influencing it, but more specifically and importantly it focuses on family as the environment with strong influence on psychological resilience of a child. Last chapters are devoted to practical applications of our knowledge of psychological resilience. They are reffering to two case studies and examples of programs for develompent of resilience in children. The appendix contains a short text for parents, recomended literature, examples of games, and activities that can help strenghten children's resilience.
Teacher and his role in the process of pupil's self-conception forming

Theoretical and empirical thesis "Teacher and his role in the process of pupil's self- conception forming" aims to explore the theme of self-conception from the perspective of those involved in the educational process. Primarily in terms of personal and social development, whose major component is the development of self-conception of pupil. The thesis explores the possibilities and limits of teaching experience and tries to find some starting points and recommendations that can help teachers better manage claims that contemporary society places on education of children. It also seeks to give teachers a tool that would simply and effectively determine the level of their work on self-development of their pupils.
Media Models for Preschool Children's Resilience

This thesis concerns with media models of preschool child resilience. The theoretical part summarizes knowledge about developmental period of preschool child, social learning, imitation and human resilience. Further it is devoted to the media issue, especially media communication influence, child viewer and model learning per television transmission. The empirical part contains qualitative research of eighteen child animated cartoons. There were demanding situations and the coping strategies explored in the analysis. After their evaluation we recommended advisable child cartoons from the perspective of potential influence on resilience development of preschool child in the sense of self-efficacy, and comparison of Czech and foreign production. Developing a Czech version of the Resilicence to Trauma Scale - Research Edition

5 Abstract Resilience, stressing out the positive aspects of personality and ways of finding sources of support for the development of the internal forces of an individual despite challenging life circumstances has been receiving more and more attention recently from both professionals and the public. Results of the resilience research are affecting theoretical concepts, however, also the areas of intervention, psychotherapy, counseling and prevention programs as well. The subject of theoretical part of the thesis was the introduction to theoretical concepts of resilience and topics related to it. A special attention has been paid to the resilience to the trauma, as well as the results of research concerning resilience sources, risk and protective factors. The specifics of resilience relating to a given age group were discussed in the theoretical part. The subject of the empirical part was to develop a Czech version of the Resilience to Trauma Scale - Research Edition (RTS-RE) and its explorative analysis in order to create a pilot version, which could become a basis for subsequent wider use in research on resilience. Resistance of bituminous binder to ageing

Asphalt binder ageing and experiences with various ageing methods from abroad are described in this thesis. The practical part deals with the RTFOT aging and with the influence of the duration of this test. The comparison of test results is conducted before and after the aging by values of needle penetration, elastic recovery, softening point and resilience tests are evaluated and compared.
Joint sealings of concrete pavements

The findings related to issues of joint sealings of concrete pavements are summarized in this bachelor thesis. The main part of this thesis deals with experimental testing of modified asphalt binder. This asphalt binder was tested at the beginning and at the end of fatigue. The samples of asphalt bitumen were tested by the method of ring and ball, determinativ of needle penetration, elastic recovery and resilince.
Properties of binders suitable for hot applied sealants and bituminous membranes

The work describes the basic laboratory characteristics of selected asphalt binders that could be suitable for hot applied sealants and bituminous membranes. Paving grade bitumen, polymer modified bitumen, asfalt-rubber and polymer modified bitumen with crumb rubber addition were used. Properties of binders were compared using tests of dynamic viscosity, needle penetration, cone penetration, softening point, resilience and elastic recovery.
Protective factors of primary school pupils and their meanings.

The aim of this thesis is mapping the protective factor problems of pupils of the 6th to 9th grades and their meaning. It follows mostly social support, resiliency and self-efficacy as an important protective factors. It also defines protective and risk factors. The thesis focuses on the influence of different protective factors on the life style and well-being of the secondary degree of a primary school in the context of child development, with the emphasis on perception of social support from parents, teachers and classmates, using the standardized research CASSS-CZ.
The birth of younger brother/sister as a difficult situation in pre-school child's life

The bachelor thesis focuses on relationship between siblings of pre-school age. It concretely observes how they deal with a birth of their younger sibling. The teoretical part presents several theories which follow up this topic. Afterwards the text describes difficult moments in children´s life and the different ways of overcoming them. The thesis drafts also pre-schools kid´s development in cognitive, social and emotional sphere. The practical part of the work is dedicated ti qualitative research in form of deep interviews with parents and observation.
