Low-potential heat utilization for electricity generation
Švábenský, Pavel ; Frýba, Lukáš (referee) ; Pavlas, Martin (advisor)
This work is concentrating on production of elektricity from waste heat. The work mainly deals with Organic Rankine cycle (further referred to as ORC), basic theory of ORC is summarised here and for comparison is given Rankin-Clausius cycle as well. Further part of the work is dedicated to ORC unit as a system, an overview of manufacturers of ORC units and their range of products is given here as well, short comparison of ORC units was carried out. Further the work is dealing with problems of the incinerator and the possibility of using the ORC unit. The conclusion of the work is dedicated to the ekonomic evaluation of the application of ORC in the Czech Republic considering the implementation study.
Possibilities of waste heat recovery from internal combustion engines
Křivák, Petr ; Pospíšil, Jiří (referee) ; Brázdil, Marian (advisor)
Increasing demands for vehicular traffic to reduce the environmental impact and consumption of fossil fuels, led an effort to increase the efficiency of the combustion process and the car as a whole. One way to achieve this is to use the waste heat of the combustion process, especially waste heat of exhaust gases. This heat can be converted into electrical energy. Consumption of electricity in modern cars is increasing. The presented work deals with the possibilities, how to using waste heat of exhaustgases from internal combustion engine. Focused on application of producing electricity. The paper analyzed the current state of car traffic, and then provides an overview of possible technological solutions using waste heat of exhaust gases. The main part is devoted to thermoelectric generators, their construction and possible design. In conclusion is made the energy balance with use thermoelectric generator.
Cooling systems in computers
Roman, Jan ; Kamenský, Petr (referee) ; Hejčík, Jiří (advisor)
Bachelor's thesis deals with present methods of cooling computer components, describe its properties mainly efficiency and suitability for appropriate cooling tasks. For better understanding and quantification of its principles there are given possibilities of heat transfer. Next work deals with problematics of cooling data centres, shows its energy consumption and says about possibilities of waste heat recovery.
Biogas cogeneration
Miča, Martin ; Chroboczek, Libor (referee) ; Pospíšil, Jiří (advisor)
This bachelor´s thesis discusses biogas cogeneration. The introductory part deals with biogas production and its treatment before energetic use. The main body of the thesis focuses on various methods of energetic utilization of biogas and biogas processing in particular biogas station in Nové Město na Moravě. From the realised measurements there were created graphs of produced, sold and consumed electrical energy depending on days and average daily temperature. The last part of the thesis gives possibilities of waste heat recovery in wood dryer.
Heat engines for waste heat utilization
Macháček, Pavel ; Lízal, František (referee) ; Jedelský, Jan (advisor)
This thesis deals with heat cycles for waste heat utilization and their comparison. The first part describes particular heat cycles, their basic modifications and working principle, their advantages and disadvantages and typical applications. The second part is dedicated to technical parameters and creating of idealized models of those cycles on the basis of gained data. The comparison of the cycles is also done.
Use of low-potential waste heat production JE Temelín for agricultural production.
KUNEŠ, Radim
The goal of the diploma thesis was to elaborate applicable solutions for the use of low-potential waste heat from the Nuclear Power Plant Temelín for agricultural production. A greenhouse of the 1 hectare size has been proposed as a model project for tomatoes production. First, in diploma thesis discussed universally questions related with building greenhouse, such is safety issues servis Nuclear Power Plant, the suitability of use different technologies, property law, suitability of the locality construction and impact on the environment... Then was detailed processed version for heating-up greenhouse of the 1 hectare, including solution key problem . Part of this diploma thesis is economic balance and proposal for the future practical use.
Method and economy of waste heat utilization at selected biogas plants
ZAJÍC, Pavel
The thesis is focused on economy and different ways how to use the waste heat which is created during combustion of biogas in cogeneration units. The utilization of residual heat enables to significantly increase the energetic efficiency of existing and newly built biogas stations. There is the description of the biogas station in Třeboň, Pleše and Kardašova Řečice and the technical and economic analysis of utilization of biogas in the place of heat consumption. These biogas stations have different methods how to use the waste heat. In Třeboň, there is this method: made biogas is transported by gas pipeline to the place where it is used. By contrast, the heat is used in the place where is created, but the heat is used for different purposes in Pleše and in Kardašova Řečice.
Propose and evaluate the use of heat produced in cogeneration units of biogas stations.
KUNEŠ, Radim
The goal of this bachelor thesis is to propose and evaluate the use of heat produced by combustion engines in cogeneration units of biogas stations. The introductory part deals with the generation of biogas, with its composition and conditions of its production. Other factors that are mentioned are in-put raw materials and their impact on biogas yield. Furthermore, cogeneration units and their engines are described. The next chapter is dedicated to the description of the biogas station Novosedly. Various biogas station components are mentioned as well as in-put raw materials and technologies used. The values of the produced heat and electric energy are processed along with the amount of produced biogas. Amount of in-put raw materials and produced digestate are taken into account in this calculation. The last part focuses on the evaluation alone of the heat balance and it proposes a project how to use the waste heat from cogeneration unit together with its financial assessment.
The intilization of waste heat from biogas plants
ZAJÍC, Pavel
?Utilization of waste heat from biogas stations? The thesis is focused on problems of utilization of waste heat which is created during combustion of biogas in cogeneration units. The utilization of residual heat enables to significantly increase the energetic efficiency of existing and newly built biogas stations. There is the description of the biogas station in Třebon and the technical and economic analysis of solutions to the physical separation of production and utilization of biogas in the place of heat consumption. This case, where the produced biogas is transported by a gas pipeline to the newly built space for heat consumption, is one of the prospective solutions how to use the available heat from biogas stations.
