Crank mechanism of a gas V-sixteen engine
Čep, David ; Novotný, Pavel (referee) ; Píštěk, Václav (advisor)
Diploma thesis is trying to analyze crank mechanism of a gas V-sixteen engine. Kinematics and balance crank mechanism are analyzed, dynamic model parameters are dermined, natural frequency of the torsional system are calculated, coupling parameters are designed and torsional problem with attached electric generator is analyzed.
Modal Properties of 4-cylinder Tractor Engine Powertrain
Ehrenberger, Pavel ; Beran, Martin (referee) ; Dundálek, Radim (advisor)
This diploma thesis contains a summary of the general information about the torsion vibration of the crankshaft. The main task is to prepare a flexible model of the crankshaft in the FEM program ANSYS and the subsequent export into the MBS ADAMS / Engine. According to parameters the model of four-cylinder line tractor engine with flexible crankshaft is built. Crank mechanism is analyzed to determine the natural frequencies and natural modes. Finally the results are evaluated and compared with analytical calculations.
Computational modeling of cranktrain mechanical losses
Smetana, Roman ; Píštěk, Václav (referee) ; Novotný, Pavel (advisor)
In the introduction of master’s thesis is introduced the common identification with basics of friction, wear and mechanical losses. Master’s thesis includes description of solving losses by help of the MBS software and analysis of mechanical losses in the crank train. In the last part of work is introduced design for decrease mechanical losses in the crank train. At the close of master’s thesis are reviewed records.
Design of two-stroke Combustion Engine
Kalenda, Tomáš ; Kloss, Ondřej (referee) ; Kaplan, Zdeněk (advisor)
The Master's Thesis is focused on a design of motorcycle two-stroke combustion engine. This single cylinder engine of a stroke volume of 50 ccm is based on a geometry of an existing engine of Blata company that has a stroke volume of 40 ccm. The newly designed engine contains some parts that are used in 40 ccm engine as well. This thesis contains a proposal of production technology of a cylinder as well as an analysis of actuating forces on crankshaft mechanism and solidity control of a piston and piston-rod.
Stress and strain analysis of connecting rod in combustion engine using FEM
Biječek, Tomáš ; Hutař, Pavel (referee) ; Vaverka, Michal (advisor)
In this diploma thesis is completed the FEM analysis of connecting rod in combustion engine Briggs & Stratton of the garden lawnmower. Within the frame of computing in the FEM system ANSYS Workbench is solved static structural strein and stress analysis, buckling analysis a fatigue also. The boundary conditions for FEM computing come out from the kinematic and dynamic analysis of the crank-slider mechanism in combustion engine. The 3-D models of the crank-slider mechanism are created in parametric SolidWorks modeller. Own construction variants of the connecting rod based on results of FEM analysis are also designed.
Behaviour of Plain Bearings under Various Working Conditions
Lábus, Jiří ; Svída, David (referee) ; Dundálek, Radim (advisor)
This diploma thesis is devoted to problems of crankshaft plain bearings at five-cylinder in-line engine. Document body describes behaviour of plain bearings under various working conditions. To needs of the hydrodynamic bearings simulations is created the cranktrain virtual model. Next part of hereof document deals with problems of bearing shell design. Is created survey of the bearing materials and shortly described technological processing of shell bearing. To understand complicated problems hydrodynamic lubrication is derived Reynolds differential equation and foreshadowed succession calculation dynamically loaded bearings. In final parts of this thesis are presented most interesting results obtained from computational analysis.
2-stroke Engine for Small Motorcycle
Hlaváč, Štěpán ; Píštěk, Václav (referee) ; Rauscher, Jaroslav (advisor)
This diploma thesis contains an engineering design of a two-stroke engine for small motorcycle. In the first part, the background research of these motors was made. Main dimensions of the engine and a calculation of the forces acting in crank mechanism were determined. Further check stress analysis of connection rod and calculation using a finite element method were performed. This diploma thesis also includes virtual 3D models of all designed parts and a drawing of cross section of the motor.
2-stroke Engine for Small Mechanization
Böhm, Milan ; Píštěk, Václav (referee) ; Rauscher, Jaroslav (advisor)
This diploma thesis includes progress constructional design of 2 - stroke engine for small mechanization, using modern tools of computer aided design. In the first part is mentioned short summary contemporary types small mechanization with 2 - stroke engines. Follows part devoted conceptual design with calculation of the main dimensions of engine cylinder. After assesment strength load of cranked mechanism, is effected stress analysis of connection rod, whose design and modeling is part of work, how by the help of analytical figures from appropriate literature so by final element method. Last part of those work is estimation results with presentation parameters, which affect power of 2 - stroke engines for small mechanization.
Unconventional Design of Internal Combustion Engines
Konečný, Tomáš ; Drápal, Lubomír (referee) ; Svída, David (advisor)
The content of bachelor thesis is to explore the possibility of replacing the traditional arrangement of crankshaft and timing mechanism in combustion engines. The aim of this work is to design the default parameters for the selected engine performance. After designing the default parameters are designed and created CAD models of basic engine components. Subsequently developed a basic overview of alternative concepts of internal combustion engines and elaborated a basic available analysis of the structure. In the conclusion of the thesis is evaluation of the results.
Transmission of Linear Pneumatic Cylinder
Bedeč, Csaba ; Mazal, Pavel (referee) ; Nevrlý, Josef (advisor)
The main subject of this bachelor's thesis is analysis and design of a mechanism for converting linear motion to rotary swinging motion used as door drive in the buses. The first part contains analysis and application of the applicable types of mechanisms. The work contains analysis and design of a cam-type mechanism in the second part. The analysis of the designed variants and selection of optimal parameters of the proposed mechanism is the last part.
