Verification of metabolism prediction based on performed activity
Kopecký, David ; Pokorný, Jan (referee) ; Kopečková, Barbora (advisor)
Nowadays, metabolic rate or energy expenditure in general is one of the most discussed topics, especially in connection with a healthy lifestyle. Nevertheless, the metabolic rate can be used as a relatively accurate indicator of physical or thermal load as well. Usually, the value of metabolic rate is used as input into various physiological models. These models estimate the body’s thermal stress, for instance when working in a protective suit. The thesis deals not only with tabulated values of metabolic rate, but it also focuses on the accuracy of estimated metabolic rate using simple measuring devices. The Apple Watch Series 4 smartwatch, the Garmin Fenix 6 Pro Glass sports tester, and the Fitbit Inspire smart sports bracelet were used for the measurements published in the thesis. The results of the measurements show that contemporary sports testers are still inappropriate for use in healthcare or elite sports.

Name: Analysis of the current state of training records in triathlon Objectives: Find out the forms of collection, registration and analysis of training data among contemporary triathletes in Czech Republic. Methods: The method of searching domestic and foreign sources was used in the work to create a longitudinal overview of the forms of collection, registration and analysis of training from history to the present. Subsequently, research was conducted in the form of a questionnaire survey on a sample of triathletes in order to determine the actually used functions of these tools (Survio application, CAWI method). 184 respondents completed the survey (return rate 64.8%); 77.2% of men and 22.8% of women aged 37.2 ± 11.97 years. The research group was selected by purposeful selection among hobby and elite triathletes in Czech Republic (72% of hobby and 28% of elite). Results: The rate of using the electronic form of monitoring and recording data from training and competitions is higher for the elite group of triathletes. (elite 93,8%, hobby 81%). At the same time, this group monitors data in their training more often than in the race and uses the training plan more often than hobby triathletes. The advanced features offered by the applications are used almost identically by both groups. The use of...
Zjišťování maximální tepové frekvence u vybrané populační skupiny zátěžovým testem
Vašková, Petra
The aim of this thesis was to measure maximum heart rate (HRmax) of selected group of volunteers using sport testers. The group consisted of 20 adults (10 women and 10 men) in average age 25.4 SD 2.44 years, average height 171.75 SD 7.99 cm, average weight 69.2 SD 11.08 kg and average BMI 23.33 SD 2.59 (kg/m2). All tested persons were subjected to stress tests on treadmill inSPORTline Gallop (Czech Republic), which tested HRmax (1 km long stress test with 4 ° belt inclination, 1 km long stress test with 6 ° belt inclination, the stress test presented by 1 km run and the graded exercise test). During testing, the heart rate of the runners was measured by the elastic chest band and it was displayed on the SIGMA SPORT RC 14.11 device. Probands ran into Vita Maxima - a state of subjective exhaustion. It was found that for a sample of 20 patients, the selection of the stress protocol did not have statistically significant effect on the values of HRmax. During investigation of the relationship between 10 selected prediction equations for calculating the HRmax, they were found out to be 100% interchangeable. It was found out that the HRmax values obtained by performing stress tests on treadmill and HRmax values calculated using predictive equations for calculating the HRmax differ significantly in terms of statistics. The study confirmed the influence of age to be the factor that affects HRmax the most significantly. The influence of the fitness index and sex on HRmax values was not confirmed in this study.
Sporttester with Bluetooth LE
Blažek, Vojtěch ; Komosný, Dan (referee) ; Krajsa, Ondřej (advisor)
This thesis deals with the design of a sporttester, which is a device capable of calculating the cadence of the taken steps and monitoring the impact force of foot on the ground while running. Exposure to long-term strong impacts while running can cause serious fatigue fractures of the hip, calf bone or the foot area. The purpose of the sporttester is to monitor and signal strong impacts to the runner, thus helping to prevent fatigue fractures. The aforementioned features are evaluated based on the change in acceleration measured by the accelerometer. The calculated values of step cadence, running speed and impact force are sent via Bluetooth Low Energy to a compatible mobile application.
The influence of training on the lungs functional capacity in gymnasts
Říhová, Marcela ; Šteffl, Michal (advisor) ; Krištofič, Jaroslav (referee)
Title: The effect of training exercise on lung functional capacity in gymnasts Objectives: The objectives of this work is to find out the influence of gymnastic exercise on forced vital capacity (FVC), heart rate and blood LA. Methods: Nine female top-level artistic gymnasts participated in the study. The age ranged between 18-25 years. FVC was measured by a personal spirometer, heart rate by a sportester, and blood lactate level by a blood LA analyzer Statistical analysis: Pearson correlation coefficient was used to determine the relationships between variables. The Shapiro-Wilk normality test was used to test normality in our dependent variables. Regression models were used to estimate associations between variables. Non-parametric Friedman test was used to test the differences between measurements and Wilcoxon test was used for post-hoc analysis. Results: A statistically significant increasing (p <0.05) was found in the blood LA as well as in heart rate. A statistically significant relationship (p <0.05) was confirmed between resting LA level and percentage changes in FVC and LA. Keywords: spirometer, sporttester, blood lactate, burpee test, LA, artistic gymnastics
Analysis of the daily physical demands of a TV teacher at a high school in the context of lessons of physical education and daily school
TRAXLER, Lukáš
The aim and the main intention of the thesis is to analyze the daily physical stress which teachers of physical education face. Information were gathered at the selected high school within hours of TV and the daily routine of the school. In the theoretical part of the thesis elaborated the chapter relating to the characteristics of the teacher, and then defined the concepts of learning and teaching styles. Other chapters relate to stress in the school environment and the transport of oxygen in a human's body. The last part was named energy expenditure in relation to the metabolism.
