Game with Hand Gesture Control
Baštek, Jozef ; Žák, Pavel (referee) ; Hradiš, Michal (advisor)
This paper is intended for computer vision usage as a way of human-computer interacion. It covers design and implementation of interface for game controlling by hand gestures and movements, that are captured by camera. It describes and evaluates image segmentation algorithms (background subtraction, thresholding, Bayes' theorem, gaussian model) as well as hand gesture classification algorithms (knowledge-based classification, Hu invariant moments and K-nearest neighours). Implementation includes machanical contruction of camera holder and 3D FPS game as a interface usage demonstration.
Set of JavaApplets Demonstrations for Speech Processing
Kudr, Michal ; Karafiát, Martin (referee) ; Černocký, Jan (advisor)
The goal of the thesis is being familiar with methods a techniques used in speech processing. Using the obtained knowledge I propose three JavaApplets demonstrating selected methods. In this thesis we can find the theoretical analysis of selected problems.
Person Identification
Ťapuška, Tomáš ; Zuzaňák, Jiří (referee) ; Hradiš, Michal (advisor)
This master's thesis is about the most known methods for face recognition. There are described their advantages and disadvantages. This work is specialized at holistic methods for face recognition, which are working with 2D pictures of people. I implemented the automatic system for face recognition according to digital picture of face. There was, in this system, implemented these methods: KNN (K nearest neighbour), PCA (Principal component analysis) and LDP (Linear doscriminant projection). There was done some tests to compare implemented methods. The tests was done on the pictures from dataset FERET. In the conclusion of this text are considered implemented approaches and is marked the best method for face recognition from implemented.
Simple Dictation System
Hromádko, Michal ; Schwarz, Petr (referee) ; Szőke, Igor (advisor)
This master's thesis deals with design and developement of simple dictation system. It explains methods used for speech recognition and describes existing systems. Design of the system is focused primarily to create graphic user interface with large emphasis on user friendliness.
Fast Recognition of Application Protocol
Adámek, Michal ; Veselý, Vladimír (referee) ; Polčák, Libor (advisor)
This thesis focuses on methods for fast recognition of application protocols. Fast recognition is recognition with minimal delay from the time of capturing the first data packet sent  from the source node. This thesis describes possible techniques and methods for recognition of application protocols and basic information and description of reference system for lawful interception in computer networks. Furthermore, the thesis describes analysis, design and implementation phase of a tool for fast recognition of application protocols. The conclusion of this thesis describes the results of tests performed by the tool and shows its limitations and possible extensions.
Handwriting Recognition
Zouhar, David ; Řezníček, Ivo (referee) ; Mlích, Jozef (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with handwriting recognition in real-time. It describes the ways how the intput data are processed. It is also focused on the classi cation methods, which are used for the recognition. It especially describes hidden Markov models. It also present the evaluation of the success of the recognition based on implemented experiments. The alternative keyboard for MeeGo system was created for this thesis as well. The established system achieved the success above 96%.
Multi-Modal Restricted Boltzmann Machines
Svoboda, Jiří ; Beran, Vítězslav (referee) ; Hradiš, Michal (advisor)
This thesis explores how multi-modal Restricted Boltzmann Machines (RBM) can be used in content-based image tagging. This work also cointains brief analysis of modalities that can be used for multi-modal classification. There are also described various RBMs, that are suitable for different kinds of input data. A design and implementation of multimodal RBM is described together with results of preliminary experiments.
Augmented Reality in CAVE
Face Recognition
Vojáček, Cyril ; Chrápek, David (referee) ; Juránek, Roman (advisor)
This thesis is about face detection and recognition from video. Main emphasis is on computational speed, so it can be used for a real-time processing. Begining of this work focus on different approaches for detection and object recognition. Afterwards is explained the main principle of methods used for the final application. Next part is about design and implementation of this methods and conclusion is about the testing results of designed application.
Adaptation of Speaker Recognition Systems
Novotný, Ondřej ; Pešán, Jan (referee) ; Plchot, Oldřich (advisor)
In this paper, we propose techniques for adaptation of speaker recognition systems. The aim of this work is to create adaptation for Probabilistic Linear Discriminant Analysis. Special attention is given to unsupervised adaptation. Our test shows appropriate clustering techniques for speaker estimation of the identity and estimation of the number of speakers in adaptation dataset. For the test, we are using NIST and Switchboard corpora.
