Making DMT usable as a base design activity
BULINOVÁ, Markéta
The theme of this thesis is ?Making DMT usable as a base design activity?. Its aim is to prepare digital terrain model (3D model) and making the contour plan of the area. The processing work is geodetic electronic tacheometry for location of interest. To measure the location was chosen Vejprnice, Plzen-north. First, therefore, throughout the given territory the reconnaissance of the terrain and the current point field, then the location detail oriented. Maps serve as the cadastral map of DKM. Measurements were made ??using electronic tacheometry. The measurement devices were used Trimble 3605 DR and Trimble R6 GPS. The coordinates of points identified in the S-JTSK and the altitude of BPV. Connection points for localization and JTSK Bpv were determined using GPS-RTK (CZEPOS). Calculations were performed Geus 15.5, graphical part of the document was prepared MicroStation 8.1 and ATLAS DMT. The result of this work is the visualization of 3D model and is the basis for design activities specifically for the construction of houses.
Data visualizations in BI reporting tools
Brož, Ondřej ; Pour, Jan (advisor) ; Štoček, Milan (referee)
This diploma thesis deals with the Business Intelligence reporting tools and more especially with their data visualization capabilities. There are a lot of different reporting and analytic tools focusing for example on ad-hoc query, tool for creating dashboards or scorecards, visual discovery tools and advanced analytical tools for data mining etc. This work, however, is focused especially on selected enterprise reporting tools and data visualization tools as well as their possibilities of data isualizations, i.e. using different types of graphs and other possible advanced data visualizations. The Business Intelligence fundamentals together with the possible the reporting and analysis visual outputs are described at the beginning of this diploma work. The reporting itself is also putted into the context of the Business Intelligence solution. The next section is focus on the visual possibilities of data visualization in BI reporting tools. It means that I created the list of possible BI data visualizations with the detail specifications and showing examples on each of them. After this part, there are shown proper data visualizations for each of the selected BI domains, like finance, sales, marketing and human resources. This output belong to one of the main contributions of this work and also could be practically useful in the process of report creation and selection for Clever Decision's BI reporting needs. In the next chapter I compare the visual possibilities for each of the selected BI reporting tools according to Gartner. To this purpose the official documentations will be used as well as my personal experience gained from using some of selected reporting tools. In the last section there are detail views for each of two selected advanced data visualizations including a detail specification on each of them as well as his possible usage in practice and possibilities for further extension as well. The source of information in this section will be professional electronic resources focused on data visualization, design and so on.
Data Visualization in Business Management
Greif, Tomáš ; Švecová, Lenka (advisor) ; Theodor, Michal (referee)
Diploma thesis describes basics terms of data visualization elements in the theoretical part. There are the following main topics covered -- importance of data visualization in business management, description and application of main chart types, design and usage of complex visualizations (dashboards), key features of modern data visualization technology. Theoretical grounds are then applied on real examples from different companies in order to show how managers can benefit from good data visualization techniques. Examples from significantly different areas were chosen -- financial management, operations management, analysis of process efficiency.
School in Zlata Koruna and its visual didactic application of basic education
KARASOVÁ, Veronika
The thesis deals with the School of Zlatá Koruna and its visual didactical application of basic education. First part is orientated on a pedagogical efficiency in the use of instruments and didactical pictures in the structure of teaching. The main part contains the digitizing of pictures from Zlatá Koruna with the encryption of hidden details. The conclusion of the thesis is engaged in the possible utilization of artafacts from Zlatá Koruna in current education.
3D displaying software
ŽALUDOVÁ, Lenka
The bachelor thesis deals with three-dimensional imaging. It tries to describe and compare simultaneously the latest software for 3D imaging and to set metric/criteria of classification for categorization.
Information Retrieval and Graph Web Structures
Húsek, Dušan ; Řezanková, H. ; Snášel, Václav
The analysis of the hyperlinks on the Web can significantly increase the capability of search engines. In the paper we deal with experiments with graph structure of the Web especially 2-conected components.
Network status visualization
Hejna, Martin ; Pavlíček, Luboš (advisor) ; Beneš, Jiří (referee)
The purpose of this diploma thesis is to provide a complex overview for the network status visualization topic. The diploma thesis is structured into four parts. The first one is dedicated to the definition of the most important terms, together with the description of several visualization methods, network metrics and last but not least to the discussion of visualization risks and benefits. In the second part, an own visualization process is at first proposed and then the particular steps of this process are discussed. Easy to understand examples are applied through this part. In the third part, several method of data collection protocols and visualization tools are briefly described. The analyzed tools are graphic libraries, as well as standalone applications and Network Management Systems. The last part is dedicated to the analysis of the current visualization tools used on the VŠE network. A short analysis of the university's network is also made. According to this analysis, an own solution is proposed for a particular part of network.
Visualization as one of the factors that sell the products and services
Baumrt, Tomáš ; Horný, Stanislav (advisor) ; Krsek, Libor (referee)
This diploma thesis deals with a subject of taking advantage of visualization during the process of product presentation. Its main aim is to find out, if visual presentation (design) of the product cover affects consumer's behaviour during the decision process of buying a particular product. If this influence is proven, a second goal is set up, namely detection of effects of chosen factors of visual presentation on consumer's decision process. Diploma thesis is divided into 6 chapters. The first introduces the topic to the reader and familiarize him with the goals and structure. Second chapter theoretically describes fundamental terms of communication, especially visual communication. The third chapter covers issues concerning the product itself and its advertisement. This chapter brings to the end theoretical part, which gathers information partly from professional literature and partly from authors' knowledge and experiences. Practical part forms the main element of the thesis. Fourth part consists of various methods for analyzing previously questioned problems in detail. Sample questionnaire examining consumer's preference is drawn up as well as graphical proposals of product design. Chapter ends up with a summary of results found out during the query survey. Results are interpreted in details in the fifth chapter, together with an attempt to draw general conclusion. Last chapter summarizes gathered information and evidence. Contribution of this work is not only to emphasize the significance of product cover and its effect on sale. Corporations or more precisely their marketing departments should realize this fact while creating marketing plan and especially advertisement plan. They should pay more attention on appearance of the product cover. Benefit further consists in processing the whole topic, with neither theoretical nor practical literature is concerned, although proven that opposite should count. Thesis tries to show the direction of further investigation, possibly followed by more complex and extensive surveys, which should bring valuable results and could be used not only by firms but also by consumers themselves.
XML Schema Visualization
