This work focuses on the possibilities of accidents prevention and safe movement in the Czech water tourism in the comparison with the advanced preventive-safety system of tourist-mountaineering activities in Alpine countries. I am concerned with the level of Czech safety system by finding out the number of persons to which the accidents and drownings on our rivers refer to in this work. Further on I consider whether a specific type of publication is successful on the market of water tourism and canoeing area as a mean to increase the safety, and which other kinds of means are used to reduce the quantity of accidents. I summarize which subjects are interested in this issue and by which manner they participate in improving the conditions on the water in the main part of this work. I suggest the possibilities of increasing the safety on Czech watercourses in the conclusion. Following methods were used in this work: the method of induction on the basis of questionnaires, the method of processed results of dialogues with selected rental shops comparison and the descriptive statistical methods in the form of graphical analysis. The water safety shifts forward by minor steps. Even the rental shops and further on the fire brigade or regions for examlple participate in the safety of their customers and...
Jews in the Protectorat and attempts of their rescure
Hlinovská, Květoslava ; Nosek, Bedřich (advisor) ; Arava-Novotná, Lena (referee)
This thesis is about modern Jewish history in the territory of Czechoslovakia, specifically the history of 2WW. It maps the fate of Jews under the new circumstances that had prevailed right after the declaration of the Protectorat of Bohemia and of Moravia, on the 15th of March, 1939. In keeping with those changes according to the new political system that was forcibly implemented, new and new anti-Jewish regulations were published with a view of total displacement of Jews from society and their total liquidation in compliance with Hitler's "final solution". It emphasizes some attempts to save Jews not only by "ordinary non-aryan people", but also by the Jewish resistance and last but not least by the government in exile. This work attempts to explain what led rescuers to their actions and their motivations, including some known rescuers, such as Nicholas Winton and Přemysl Pitter.

Mizerová, Lenka ; Tichomirov, Vladimír (referee) ; Myslín,, Jiří (referee) ; Solař,, Jaroslav (referee) ; Beneš, Petr (advisor)
Parameters that characterizes quality internal building environment come forth these days. One of the main reasons for the choice of the topic of this thesis is to ensure the quality of the internal environment and well-being during the usage of the buildings. Prevention of the excessive wall dampness is one of the basic conditions of a healthy and quality building environment. The thesis verifies reliability and compares the efficiency of the selected damp-proof materials and its joints. The first part deals with the influences that are reasons for the dampness of the buildings, earmark of an interest area, introducing of the valid legislation focused on the building redevelopment, consideration and evaluation of the building constructions in light of the dampness. The next part of the thesis sets main and partial targets and consecutive steps leading to fulfilment of the targets. Selection of the appropriate redevelopment procedures, materials and joints of the selected materials selected for the experiment realization follows. As this area is relatively large, we selected mechanical redevelopment methods reaching the walls and three most commonly used materials and its joints within the framework of the selected methods. There are three main steps set in the thesis: preparation of the methodology and experiment realization, measurement optimization and measurement within the laboratory and on the real buildings, comparison and evaluation of the measured values. Experimental part of the thesis took place between the years 2008 - 2011. Experiment realization comprises of material acquisition, building of the test samples and application of the single redevelopment measures. The next step includes measurement on the individual samples on the fixed measuring points. Measurements are evaluated through the mathematical statistical methods. Efficiency of the particular materials are compared and evaluated.

The organization of emergency medical treatment with intention to the medicine of disasters and mass catastrophes
CHALOUPEK, Milan
The medicine of disasters and mass catastrophes is an interdisciplinary medical specialism exploiting scientific discoveries made and lessons taught by experience in the other branches of medicine while attending to emergencies and carrying out rescue, demolition and sanitation operations. Practices already applied to handle mass catastrophes are being analyzed in case the humankind has to face similar events in the future. Related to the analyses are requirements for organizing urgent care. To illustrate the types of cooperation; to exemplify organization of the urgent care on specific cases; to compare the ways of cooperation between health-care facilities and the constituent elements of the Integrated Rescue System (IRS); and to cope with large-scale disasters, the mass catastrophes occurring in the Czech Republic have been treated to an analysis. Evaluated in the relevant cases was the level of security that the Czech Republic can rely on in case of emergencies - catastrophes and major disasters. Comparison was made between what was done by large health-care facilities and what was taken care of by the Integrated Rescue System, with special focus on the triage of the victims. As follows from analyses of different mass disasters, the medical care provided to save lives is satisfactory, and the urgent care is organized properly. The information on organizing urgent care oriented towards the medicine of disasters and mass catastrophes has been extracted from a variety of sources and through inquiring competent professionals.
