Cloud-Based Data Access Control
Chovanec, Erik ; Malina, Lukáš (referee) ; Hajný, Jan (advisor)
This thesis is dealing with problematic of cloud storage. The goal of this thesis is the implementation of cloud storage, that will be able to provide the required functionality. These functionalities are access control of multiple users, group rights, long-term file archiving, secure data transmission to cloud storage, protection of data integrity and confidentiality during transmission and storage. For achieving this goal, there is an evaluation of suitability using public cloud providers. Based on this evaluation, there was a conclusion, that these services are not suitable for storing highly sensitive data. Next is an evaluation of advantages associated with using software that is licensed under a free or open-source software license. Even though there are high start-up costs on infrastructure and there is a necessity to make a huge effort to run custom infrastructure with cloud storage, it is a much better option. Especially if it will be used for storing sensitive data. The following chapter describes an extensive analysis of existing open-source and free-software solutions. In the final part of this chapter, the application Nextcloud has been selected since it provides the most of required functionalities. The thesis also contains an installation of Nextcloud and shows its main functions. There are basic load tests, which are telling us about the efficiency of successfully dealing with parallel requests. In the last section of this thesis, we are dealing with the implementation of missing functionality in Nextcloud. This functionality is necessary to achieve our goal, which is long term archiving of files. This term means functionality that will enable the possibility to archive files with evidence about preservation integrity and confidentiality of archived files during a long period of their existence. This part of the thesis contains a theoretical design that aims to accomplish this goal. Description of the implementation follows after theoretical design. This functionality is implemented in form of a dedicated system. Archiving of files is triggered by a modified application, used in the Nextcloud server. This process will create a copy of the file to be archived on a separate hard drive. It will obtain evidence about integrity when storing the file and it will strengthen this evidence by obtaining a new one in regular periods. This happens on yearly basis. The quality of cryptographic protocols can degrade after a long period. This concept is trying to prevent this phenomenon.
Layout of Tools to Restrict Software Piracy
Kopáč, Jiří Vili ; Pavlů, Jaroslav (referee) ; Kříž, Jiří (advisor)
I will try to solve and point to current problems connected with piracy in software industry in my project. I will do analysis of actual situation based on information sources. My suggestions will be made by backward synthesis which should show optimal solution as well as how software piracy reduces to minimum also how to defend and prevent against it.
Copyright law and advertising
Aichingerová, Nikola ; Císařová, Zuzana (advisor) ; Žikovská, Petra (referee)
- Copyright and Advertising Advertising, as a rapidly evolving social phenomenon based on the promotion of goods and services, consists of copyrighted works that it creates or uses. Advertising work is often considered to be a unique result of creative intellectual activity, could it not therefore meet the conceptual characteristics set out in the Copyright Act and receive the same protection? If the advertisement includes a copyrighted work, artistic performance or other value protected by the copyright law, the advertiser, the client or other party in the advertising sector must deal with the copyright properly. The way to address it is set out in the Copyright Act. Could a person involved in making advertisements or an ad agency employee be the author? Does the legislation reflect the actual situation in the advertising sector at a time when advertising law contains public, private and ethical norms? This thesis is not just a description, but aims to analyse the legal regulation of copyright with a closer focus on copyrighted works in the context of advertising activities and their creators. The first analytical part deals with the development of copyright law with emphasis on the resulting separation of the material medium from the product of creative intellectual activity, i.e. the separation...

Legal limits of the cross-border movement of military materials
Matocha, Jakub ; Pauknerová, Monika (advisor) ; Brodec, Jan (referee)
Legal limits of the cross-border movement of military materials The global trade with military materials is an important, however often under- researched, area of academic enquiry. Such attitude is not correct, because in fact it is a massive global industry in which also Czech companies play a significant role. Given the newspaper headlines and statements of arms dealer, it is obvious there have long been unsolved problems burdening arms dealers caused especially by an inappropriate legal framework. This theses aims to provide an analysis of legal framework in respect to cross-border movement of military materials covering especially European and Czech legislation focusing on its potential limits arising and important for arms dealers. On a global international level the Arms Trade Treaty and other relevant treaties regulating international trade with military materials are identified and described. Attention is also paid to limitations of arms trade such as embargoes or restrictive measures imposed by the UN and the EU respectively as well as to limitations resulting from domestic and European legislation or from its different interpretation. In view of different legal framework this thesis strictly distinguishes whether a movement is realized, while particular law is adequately reflected. There...

Information System for Software Licences
Rohovský, Tomáš ; Burget, Radek (referee) ; Hruška, Tomáš (advisor)
This project deals with the creation of an information system for the managing of software licenses. This system is developed in PHP, using the Nette Framework. The system architecture is built on the MVP design pattern, which ensures easy modifcation and extensibility of the current solution. The paper also deals with software licensing technology. Specifcally, it focuses on the LM-X license. It describes these licenses and the solution for their management. Analysis of this solution was the basis for the design of this system. The system supports the storage and management of orders and licenses, creation of predefned templates for creating of the licenses, generation of the XML input for license generator, and the storage of license fles.

Slabý, Jiří ; Vaňková, Petra (advisor) ; Leipert, Jiří (referee)
TITLE: Use of Software Tools for Teamwork at School AUTHOR: Jiří Slabý DEPARTMENT: Department of Information Technology and Education SUPERVISOR: PhDr. Petra Vaňková, Ph.D. ABSTRACT: The work is focused on software tools for teamwork including comparison and deployment in a pilot solution in a particular high school. By conducting searches in literature and Internet resources related to the given topic, basic concepts related to teamwork are described and activities that take place within the scope of teamwork are outlined. Software tools for teamwork are analyzed, suitable selection criteria and their weights are set, and a comparison of selected software tools is performed using multiple-criteria analysis. The aim is to choose a suitable tool for teamwork and to propose its use in a particular school. Based on the results of the comparison, the Microsoft Teams team collaboration tool is selected and deployed because it matches the needs of a particular school in the best way. The benefit of this work is an overview and comparison of tools that enable teamwork and communication; the proposed scenarios and practical use of software team tools at school are beneficial, too. Another benefit of the work lies in describing how to deploy the selected Microsoft Teams tool. The thesis work summarizes...
