Analysis and modeling of Power Line Communication
Mlýnek, Petr ; Orgoň, Miloš (referee) ; Pospíchal, Ladislav (referee) ; Mišurec, Jiří (advisor)
The dissertation thesis focuses on the analysis and modelling of power line communication. In first part of the thesis, a basic information of power line communication are described, primarily principle, advantage and disadvantage. The physical layer of the transmission and the fundament of modelling are described later. In the following section the objectives of the dissertation thesis are specified. Experimental verification of the created models and creating of indoor and outdoor models are one of the major goals of this work. These models approximate the real parameters of the power lines communication with sufficient precision. A detailed analysis of existing and current research in power line communication modeling, especially for the power line models, then follows. Based on this analysis a mathematical description of the models is specified and reference model for different scenarios is designed. The communication channel model, power line model and noise model are designed in own solution part. In this part the main goals, experimental verification of created models and designed of models for indoor and outdoor line were also realized. By merging of individual models, PLC communication system model with all parameters analyzed in detail arise. The analyzed parameters which were previously published, do not contain these parameters coherently. The last part of the thesis gives a summary of the results of these analyzes and discussion of simulation results.
Active frequency filter using current mode
Paščinský, Jiří ; Dostál, Tomáš (referee) ; Slezák, Josef (advisor)
The aim of this work is design of frequency filter working in current mode. The introduction of the work deals with features and applications of frequency filters. Special attention is paid to the transfer function of the filter. In third chapter different operational modes of electrical circuits and their advantages and disadvantages are discussed. Attention is paid to active blocks suitable for circuits working in current mode. There is description of components AD844 and EL2082 which represent current conveyors of the second generation and are used in the designed filter. The last two chapters deal with design of component values of the frequency filter. The designed circuit was simulated in PSpice and the results were compared with measurments. Also sensitivity and tolerance analysis of the filter were performed.
Direct realization of the transfer function using modern fuctional blocks
Vyskočil, Jiří ; Petržela, Jiří (referee) ; Dostál, Tomáš (advisor)
The aim of my bachelor’s thesis is a direct realization of the transfer function using modern functional blocks. It is a circuit design of multifunction frequency-selection filters. A merit of the direct realization of the transfer function is for example an easy modification of the circuit design using the signal flow graph. These circuit designs can work in current and voltage modes. My task is to design a few such designs using modern function blocks. Then I verify their function and basic characteristics, I make tolerance and sensitivity analyses and lastly I scrutinize effects of parasitic phenomena and real building components.
Design of the tunable second order switched capacitor frequency filter
Bragina, Tatiana ; Kledrowetz, Vilém (referee) ; Prokop, Roman (advisor)
Thesis describes analog filters topologies with capability of tuning of the main parameters and the MOSFET-C and switched-capacitor filters are described. With focus to linearity and maximal tuning range optimal topology have been chosen. In work the issue of analog switch design is described and is solved. Design of switched-capacitor low-pass Sallen-key filter in Cadence software was made and simulation results are presented.
Design of Reverberator for Room Acoustics Simulation
Húserka, Jozef ; Orlovský, Kristián (referee) ; Kurc, David (advisor)
This thesis deals with artificial simulation of acoustic spaces by using reverberators. Output of this document consists of four reverberation algorithms and function that evaluates objective parameters of acoustic space from impulse responses. Reverberators and script were implemented using Matlab. Graphical user interface is used to present all of the algorithms for easier usability. First chapter deals with objective parameters of acoustic spaces and the ways they are computed from impulse response. Second chapter describes various structures which are used to build reverberators. Those structures are used in third chapter in implementations of reverberators. Third chapter also compares all implemented reverberators . In last chapter experiment was made. Impulse responses of three spaces were measured and subsequently aproximated by algorithms implemented in this thesis.
Power Line Communication Simulator in Network Simulator-3
Kolář, Jan ; Fujdiak, Radek (referee) ; Mlýnek, Petr (advisor)
This thesis deals with the powerline communication focusing on the simulations of channel transfer functions. The introduction summarizes basic information about PLC followed by the analysis of the available PLC Software simulator (implemented in NS-3) and the analysis of implemented noises and interferences and its extensions. One chapter is devoted to possibilities of link capacity calculation. Within the thesis, various methods of calculation of primary parameters of transmission line were implemented and the simulator was compared with other freely available simulators. Subsequently, simulations were carried out focused on channel transfer functions in different topologies, on the impedance changes of branch, on the lengths of branch, and changes in the direct path between communicating nodes.
Design of diplexer based on coaxial resonators
Štěpánek, Michal ; Tkadlec, Roman (referee) ; Wolanský, David (advisor)
This thesis deals with the analysis of coaxial cavity filters and synthesis of generic topology of these filters. Transfer function comes out the synthesis, which is based on low-pass prototype and similarity with real structure. The next aim of this thesis is to build the basic software for coaxial cavity filters synthesis from engaged characteristic parameters of the filter. This work also includes the analysis of coupling matrix synthesis based on transfer function, where we can use direct coupling or cross-coupling between resonators. The last point is focused on the diplexer filter based on specified parameters and obtained coupling matrix. Entire diplexer model is optimized using Tuning-Space Mapping method.
Power line transfer function generator
Šenk, Marek ; Mišurec, Jiří (referee) ; Mlýnek, Petr (advisor)
The aim of this thesis is to create a power line transfer function generator in Matlab. Work on introduction explains the concept of power line and describes the different types of topologies and types of cables that power line are the most widely used today. It is also discussed PLC technology, its structure, characteristics of the transmission channel and interferences. The following are approach the types of the modeling of power line. More details are described generally modeling in the frequency (two-port network model), which is used in the created generator. The next section provides a power line model, whose principle is used in the generator. The following is a description of created the generator and comparison with FTW PLC Simulator. In conclusion, the thesis presents the results of simulations the transfer function, which show the magnitude and phase frequency characteristics of different topologies and parameters.
Multifunction frequency filters using GCMI
Voráč, Ladislav ; Minarčík, Martin (referee) ; Jeřábek, Jan (advisor)
At the beginning of my work are the frequency filter possibilities and their use discussed. I continue with the basic theoretical filter characters, their description through the use of the transfer functions, the transfer filter function of the second rank and further possible filter diversification on active and pasive ones. In the next chapter, there is a current mode introduced with its use and reasons why to pick it up. As next are several active current items descriped, that will be used for construction of the frequency filter of the second rank. The most used item for the application in the pure current mode is GMCI, which easily means Generalized Current Mirrors and Inventors. It is obvious already from its name what does it do, mirror reflecting and inverting. The next chapter talks about the concept method of the autonomous circuit, where in several blocks is the process of the frequency filter concept to be found. Last four chapters are focused on the detailed frequency filters concept, with all its active elements and their simulations. One of the circuit was choosen for the practical realization and at the conclusion it shows the comparison of the measured and simulated transfer parameters.
