An accurate comparison of the methods for passive IP Geolocation

This thesis aims to evaluate the physical location of the stations connected to the Internet, focusing on passive methods of IP geolocation, specifically by using geolocation databases. The first part is generally described what it is IP geolocation, the second section describes the active and passive methods of IP geolocation and the third section describes the practical parts of assignment and the results that we found.

Database application in JAVA language

This thesis deals about the MySQL database system and its connection with JAVA programming environment. It discusses the implementation of applications with data editing database tables. In the first theoretical part deals about connectivity to the database server using JDBC Connector and its types. Next it defining properties of connection and communication with FTP server. The thesis describes also the security of communication with server using SLL/TLS protocol. The practical part describes how to create the server side of project and the application in JAVA FX.

In-Memory Databases

Táto práca sa zaoberá databázami pracujúcimi v pamäti a tiež konceptmi, ktoré boli vyvinuté na vytvorenie takýchto systémov, pretože dáta sú v týchto databázach uložené v hlavnej pamäti, ktorá je schopná spracovať data niekoľkokrát rýchlejšie, ale je to súčasne nestabilné pamäťové medium. Na podloženie týchto konceptov je v práci zhrnutý vývoj databázových systémov od počiatku ich vývoja až do súčasnosti. Prvými databázovými typmi boli hierarchické a sieťové databázy, ktoré boli už v 70. rokoch 20. storočia nahradené prvými relačnými databázami ktorých vývoj trvá až do dnes a v súčastnosti sú zastúpené hlavne OLTP a OLAP systémami. Ďalej sú spomenuté objektové, objektovo-relačné a NoSQL databázy a spomenuté je tiež rozširovanie Big Dát a možnosti ich spracovania. Pre porozumenie uloženia dát v hlavnej pamäti je predstavená pamäťová hierarchia od registrov procesoru, cez cache a hlavnú pamäť až po pevné disky spolu s informáciami o latencii a stabilite týchto pamäťových médií. Ďalej sú spomenuté možnosti usporiadania dát v pamäti a je vysvetlené riadkové a stĺpcové usporiadanie dát spolu s možnosťami ich využitia pre čo najvyšší výkon pri spracovaní dát. V tejto sekcii sú spomenuté aj kompresné techniky, ktoré slúžia na čo najúspornejšie využitie priestoru hlavnej pamäti. V nasledujúcej sekcii sú uvedené postupy, ktoré zabezpečujú, že zmeny v týchto databázach sú persistentné aj napriek tomu, že databáza beží na nestabilnom pamäťovom médiu. Popri tradičných technikách zabezpečujúcich trvanlivosť zmien je predstavený koncept diferenciálnej vyrovnávacej pamäte do ktorej sa ukladajú všetky zmeny v a taktiež je popísaný proces spájania dát z tejto vyrovnávacej pamäti a dát z hlavného úložiska. V ďalšej sekcii práce je prehľad existujúcich databáz, ktoré pracujú v pamäti ako SAP HANA, Times Ten od Oracle ale aj hybridných systémov, ktoré pracujú primárne na disku, ale sú schopné pracovať aj v pamäti. Jedným z takýchto systémov je SQLite. Táto sekcia porovnáva jednotlivé systémy, hodnotí nakoľko využívajú koncepty predstavené v predchádzajúcich kapitolách, a na jej konci je tabuľka kde sú prehľadne zobrazené informácie o týchto systémoch. Ďalšie časti práce sa týkajú už samotného testovania výkonnosti týchto databáz. Zo začiatku sú popísané testovacie dáta pochádzajúce z DBLP databázy a spôsob ich získania a transformácie do použiteľnej formy pre testovanie. Ďalej je popísaná metodika testovania, ktorá sa deli na dve časti. Prvá časť porovnáva výkon databázy pracujúcej v disku s databázou pracujúcou v pamäti. Pre tento účel bola využitá databáza SQLite a možnosť spustenia databázy v pamäti. Druhá časť testovania sa zaoberá porovnaním výkonu riadkového a stĺpcového usporiadania dát v databáze pracujúcej v pamäti. Na tento účel bola využitá databáza SAP HANA, ktorá umožňuje ukladať dáta v oboch usporiadaniach. Výsledkom práce je analýza výsledkov, ktoré boli získané pomocou týchto testov.

This bachelor´s thesis is elaborated according to the assignment of Honeywell company, which decided to broaden learning possibilities of foreign languages in their company by e-learning. Employees will have an opportunity to use e-learning system, which will help them to enhance their knowledge beside attending classical lessons. E-learning includes various kinds of exercises and homeworks as well, which are sent to particular lector for checking. E-learning is a web application placed on the Internet and is accessible anywhere, where Internet connection is available. It includes administration interface for lectors and employees, which is only accessible by login and password. The system was created by HTML, PHP, CSS, JavaScript and MySQL technology and certainty nowadays is technology Ajax as well.

The purpose of this bachelor's thesis is to design and implement multilanguage invoice system of small company or small trader. The system should enable an effective record of billing documents to be bound to the storage card and a list of partner companies. The applicability of the system should support the import invoices from other commonly used accounting systems. This documentation describes the various technologies used in developing this system and a large part of the document is devoted to analysis, design and implementation of the solution.

Use of Intentional Damage of Motor Vehicles in Forensic Engineering

This diploma thesis deals with creating a database of intentional damages of motor vehicles by selected tools and their documentation. Used tools can by often found in any household or workshop. First part describes how insurance and settlement of claim works. Next part deals with insurance frauds and in the third part damages are sorted into categories. Following part describes damages that incurred in actual traffic accidents and closures whether their were insurance frauds or not, and the susequent part is the creating of intentional damages and their processing into a database. In the end i tis described how such a database is an asset for forensic engineering.

This master's thesis focuses on problematic of creating applications based on multiplatform framework. This thesis also includes fundamental theoretical knowledge about relational database system SQLite, which has been used in a practical part of the thesis. Programing of multiplatform audio player which could be used in speech-language pathology clinic is essential portion of the practical part. Player was enhanced with the database of patients and ability to generate XML files.

Web application containing the information about exchange rates on the Slovak and Czech market

The aim of this bachelor thesis is to make the market analysis and to test my theorem. I work with hypothesis that people who are visiting web portals containing the information about exchange rates can use the application for finding exchange rates from multiple banks in different countries simultaneously. The users consider this application very useful and also very beneficial because of the tool what shows them which bank is more favorable to change the money - either in the home country or in the foreign one. In the thesis, the reader will find information about a draft of application for catching the exchange rates and also about its programming. There is also draft of database generated by framework Hibernate in the thesis. In the thesis is described my way of thinking during creating the PHP scripts.
