Navrátil, Jan ; Peterková, Jana (advisor) ; Trávníčková, Zuzana (referee)
In the context of international relations, Australia might seem as a big state with a relatively substantial power establishment. However, the reality is much more complicated. Australian position in the whole international environment is primarily determined by its position within the Pacific region, because it is the closest definition of environment where Australia belongs to. And that is the subject of this thesis.

The work will focus in detail on three selected countries: China, India and Vietnam. In order to meet the objectives of the work mainly used methods are analysis, comparison and induction. Research has been carried to the conclusion that the share of developing countries in international trade Asia continues steadily to grow, but is influenced by developments in the major economies and the main driving force is still China. Shares of other Asian developing countries on the world market are still relatively small. The fact is that international trade has helped these economies to reach positive developments. The results of this study allow readers to have a deeper look into the issue of Asian developing countries in international trade.

Competence and Status of a Social Worker in the Psychiatric Hospital Červený Dvůr.
KAČENOVÁ, Lucie
The bachelor thesis addresses the topic "The Competences and Position of a Social Worker in the Červený Dvůr Psychiatric Hospital" (hereinafter referred to as "ČDPH"). The bachelor thesis is presented as a monographic study so it describes only the issues relating to ČDPH. It is divided into two parts the theoretical and the research one. In the theoretical part I describe ČDPH in more detail as a healthcare facility, and mention its operation and medical care system. I also examine the personality of a social worker. In the broadest context possible I try to depict topics relating to the competences and position of social workers. The objective of the thesis is to define the competences and position of social workers in the medical care system in ČDPH. In order to fulfil the objective of the thesis, I set two research questions: 1. What are the competences and position of a social worker in the medical care system in ČDPH? 2. What is the position of a social worker in the medical care system in ČDPH? The research is divided into two parts. The first part is focused on interviews with two social workers concerning their competences in ČDPH, while the other part of the research is focused on interviews concerning the position of social workers. The interviews took place with the consent of both social workers and the director of the hospital. For the sake of better quality of data recording I used a dictating machine, and processed the collected data in electronic form afterwards. To interpret the results, I found table processing to be the most suitable method because of clear arrangement of the results. The research made it possible to answer both the research questions set beforehand. It has followed from the research that the competences of social workers in ČDPH include a broad complex of skills they should possess. They should be well versed in a number of branches of law, be aware of the basic rules of crisis intervention and have very good communication skills utilized especially in communication with patients. As far as the position of social workers in ČDPH is concerned, it has been ascertained that they find their position in ČDPH to be good and that they feel being full-fledged members of the multidisciplinary team of workers. They have freedom to decide to a certain degree but if a patient's situation requires so, the situation is discussed and solved by the team. Even the most complicated or crisis situations can always be jointly solved even based on a compromise. The bachelor thesis could be beneficial for both social workers as well as for me because of the realization of one's own current competences and possibilities of further improvement of some of them. The competences and position are specific to a certain degree with regard to the environment of the psychiatric hospital and its target group.
Position and Role of General Nurse in Society
KULHÁNKOVÁ, Petra
Present status: New trends in medicine and consequently in nursing gradually do not only change the view of society of the occupation of nurse, but they also increase requirements for knowledge and skills a person doing this job has. However, society does not realize the intensity of this profession which can have both positive and negative impacts on partnerships and family lives of nurses who strive to help and support people, whether they are healthy or ill. Objective: The main objective of the research survey was not only a deep analysis of the occupation of nurse in the society, but especially the effort to map the impact the profession has on the private life of a nurse. Methodology: The objective of this research was to understand all aspects of the occupation and at the same time to examine the influence of the profession on private life. These are the reasons why it was more suitable to select a qualitative survey method which was more personal and could go deeper to the given problems. The main research survey was conducted by means of a semi-structured interview which was always held in the environment selected by a respondent. The interview was carried out separately due to the possibility to obtain new facts or to compare different opinions with gender balance. Open questions were asked with a relatively wide scope to enable more extensive answers. It was unnecessary to always ask all the questions and their order was not strictly determined. Besides interviews, other survey methods were used; both qualitative ones to supplement the atmosphere during interviews, and quantitative ones in the form of an anonymous poll. The poll was not pre-planned and it only dealt with a general level of the occupation of nurse. Research cohort: The object of the research survey was partners or married couples who lived together for various periods of time, of whom one of the partners worked as a nurse in health care. The total number of respondents was 16, of which 8 women-nurses and 8 men, partners of nurses. 210 respondents participated in the poll.
The position of the EU in the world economy: comparison with USA and Japan
Fečová, Zuzana ; Cihelková, Eva (advisor) ; Kačírková, Eliška (referee)
The main purpose of this bachelor's thesis is to evaluate the current status of the European Union as one of the most influential players in the global economy. The analysis uses comparison with the other two major world powers -- USA and Japan. The first part is focused on the performance of the economies in terms of absolute production (GDP) and economic growth. The chapter then identifies the impact of growth on employment, price stability and public finances and defines the major economic and social problems. The second chapter assesses the EU's external relations based on the trade performance and capital flows. It also analyzes the participation in the international transfer of science and technology and labour migration. The aim of the last chapter is to assess the current position of the EU in the world by comparison with the world indicators. Considering this comparison, the chapter defines the main EU problems as particularly decreasing competitiveness in the context of crisis and rapid onset of developing countries. In this chapter are then reported and presented ways how to overcome these problems.
Position and Responsibilities of Parents in Relation to Mandatory Vaccination
FANFULOVÁ, Iveta
The BA thesis deals with the attitudes of parents to compulsory vaccination. The aim was to find out what the attitudes of parents to compulsory vaccination are in České Budějovice. The thesis is divided into two independent parts. A content analysis of relevant documents was used in the theoretical part which also explains and defines concepts associated with the above mentioned subject. The theoretical part is followed by research which was carried out by means of a survey, i.e. a semi-structured interview technique. At the same time, a method of observation, i.e. a technique of structured observation with pre-defined observed phenomena, was also employed. A total of 10 parents living in České Budějovice took part in the research. A main research question was set, and so were four subsidiary questions which were necessary for its answering and which focused on what experience parents had with compulsory vaccination, on the assessment of the current vaccination system, on the behaviour of parents in the case of a transfer to voluntary vaccination and on possible objections to compulsory vaccination. The results of the research show that a majority of the chosen parents has a positive attitude to compulsory vaccination and that most parents agree with preserving its compulsory character. At the same time they responded that if this vaccination were to become voluntary, they would nevertheless have their children vaccinated. The BA thesis and the results of its research can serve as a source of information for parents who are interested in the issue of compulsory vaccination.

The analysis of different position of the Slovak and the Czech Republic on the question of recognition of independent Kosovo
Zaťko, Miloš ; Druláková, Radka (advisor) ; Cibulková, Petra (referee)
The Kosovo declaration of independence produced the opposite reactions over the world. The majority of western states (like the USA and the European countries) recognized the independent Kosovo. The first chapter deals just with the reaction of international community to the declaration of independence, especially the European Union. The EU is divided into two groups. The second chapter describes the resoponse of the Slovak and the Czech Republic to the independent Kosovo. The question is, why these two countries that have so much in common (e.g. the common existence in the Czechoslovakia) took the different position. The aim of this study is to uncover the reasons that could explain the different position. The last chapter concerns with the analysis and the appraisal of possible reasons of opposite reaction and their mutual comparison.
