The Application of Political and Cultural Values of China to the XXIX. Olympiad

Political and cultural aspects play the key role in Chinese society and that their influence exposes inseparably in such an area as the organisation of the Olympic Games. The aim of the project is to analyse the question of the Olympic Games by means of the application of the political and cultural values of the Chinese society. The thesis is divided into six chapters. The first three chapters are paid to the problems which are connected with the grant of the organisation of the Olympics Games and the historical background. The forth chapter deals with the Olympic mascots, the official logo and the motto of the Olympic Games, especially from the symbolical point of view. The fifth, and the most important part, is the application of Chinese political and cultural values on the opening ceremony. The last chapter concerns the medal ambitions of China. The conclusion is a summary of the thesis and serves as a brief review of the ascertained facts.
Cultural and historical factors influencing China's behaviour in international relations

The aim of this bachelor's thesis is to make an analysis of a cultural and historical influence on a China's position and behaviour in international relations. The work examines the period of Chinese modern times, particularly the second half of the twentieth century. The main selected characteristics of Chinese philosophy and culture are applied on the Chinese foreign policy; the analysis and application of Geert Hofstede's cultural paradigms for Chinese culture is included as well. The main selected aspects of Chinese history and their influence are analysed after that, both in the given period and in present. The conclusion summarises the influence of these factors on Chinese foreign policy and assesses whether this influence is significant. It also contains the evaluation whether the observed influence complies with the reality, it means whether the theory of Chinese foreign policy corresponds with its practice.

The work focuses on the current economic situation of China, on its position in the world economy and on its participation in the international economic relations. It evaluates particular economic indicators and analyses the Chinese position in the international trade. It deals with the relations with the World Trade Organization and the trade with the European Union. Problematics connected to the contemporary economic crisis are discussed. The work points out the power of the Chinese economy, which experiences the extraordinary economic boom. It also points out substantial weak points, which have still persisted.

The first chapter describes basic information about the Republic of China, about its evolution, history, geography and the influence of the population growth to redistribution. The second part discusses a question of entrepreneurial environment and its segmentation. It focuses on the social-cultural area, where it analyzes cultural dimensions according to Geert Hofstede's analysis, and particularly meaning of the economic area, which includes the view of China in the context of the world economics as well as the picture of China in the world economic crisis. In the last chapter are mentioned Czech companies that expand to the Chinese market and there is illustrated entire perspective in the area of international relations and international business between the Czech Republic and the Republic of China.

It begins with general information about China. This is followed by an analysis of the first reforms, and demographics. Subsequently, it elaborates on the current situation in China and this is followed by detail analysis of Chinese retail market with an example of Wal-Mart nad Carrefour.Finally, the conclusions and recommendations are provided.
Marketing communication with Chinese consumer through internet

The diploma describes the mentality of typical Chinese consumer and tries to show pros and cons of marketing communication with him. The thesis also contains many real cases which should illustrate the findings. The main medium for communication we elaborate in this thesis is internet. The internet as a relatively new medium and has a big potential for a new generation of young Chinese consumers, who use internet as their main communication and information tool.
