Diplomová práce na téma Aplikace Balanced Scorecard se zabývá vytvořením systému měření a řízení výkonnosti samostatného podnikatele. Teoretická část je zaměřena na popis metody, jednotlivých perspektiv a vzájemných souvislostí. Praktická část se věnuje analýze dosavadní činnosti podnikatele a rozboru současné situace na trhu. V návaznosti na výsledky analýzy je vytvořen systém strategických cílů a měřítek, který je následně vyobrazen prostřednictvím strategické mapy.
Aplikace Balanced Scorecard na TJ Auto Škoda Mladá Boleslav

Práce je zaměřena na praktickou aplikaci metody strategického řízení zvané Balanced Scorecard. Nejprve proniká do struktury a fungování neziskového občanského sdružení TJ Auto Škoda. Následně stanovuje SWOT analýzu pro toto sdružení, tedy identifikuje základní silné a slabé stránky, příležitosti a hrozby. To je východiskem pro vytvoření strategických cílů, jejich měřítek a hybatelů. V samém závěru dochází k vytvoření strategické mapy, která je klíčem pro strategické řízení TJ Auto Škoda v následujících několika letech.

Diplomová práce se zabývá aplikací Balanced Scorecard (BSC)ve společnosti Řetězárna a.s. Balanced Scorecard je klíčový manažerský systém, který převádí firemní poslání a strategie do uceleného souboru měřítek výkonnosti. Nejprve byla provedena analýza finanční výkonnosti podniku, banchmarkingové srovnání a dále také strategická analýza podniku. Stěžejní část diplomové práce tvoří již samotná implementace BSC. Ta spočívá v přiřazení podnikových strategických cílů a jejich ukazatelů úspěšnosti k jednotlivým perspektivám BSC. Provázanost a kauzalitu podnikových strategických cílů přehledně zobrazuje strategická mapa. Dalším výstupem diplomové práce je podpůrný nástroj v programu MS Excel, který obsahuje data pro hodnocení úspěšnosti jednotlivých firemních strategických výpovědí a procesů.
Implementation of Balanced Scorecard

Diploma thesis is dealing with analysis of strategy based on interview with management of firm Chromservis s.r.o. Then author uses methods and techniques of strategy analysis to analyse finacial situation, firm's cumtomers, competitors, suppliers and potential substitutes. Final point of analytical part is comparison of the results with firms in the same branch and SWOT analysis. Finally author suggests system of strategic objectives, measurements and connections among objectives. As the last point the objectives are drawn in the strategy map of Balanced Scorecard.
Implementation of Business Intelligence in ČON s.r.o. company

This dissertation thesis deals with the topic of Business Intelligence and Balanced Scorecard and its use in České odborné nakladatelství, s.r.o., a relatively small company of 29 employees, which publishes magazines about business, gastronomy, textile, foods, hotels etc. The first part of my thesis describes the BI and BSC theoretically and offers a methodical basis for the following chapters. It gives the reader a definition and structure of BI, with access to a Data Warehouse including the fundamentals of building an OLAP database. It furthermore explains what BSC is, which perspectives use and what a strategic map is. The theoretical chapters of my paper will draw conclusions about the use of BI and BSC and the links between them. The practical, hands-on, chapters continue with the actual application of BI and BSC in the afore-mentioned ČON, s.r.o. It describes the goals and ambitions of the company, which are further on divided into individual strategic goals and metrics, fragmented into perspectives of the BSC and portrayed in a strategic map. Upon analyzing the demands of the company a BI framework is created, data sources are identified, Data Warehouse are designed and brought into effect. In the end a multidimensional OLAP cube is created with MS SQL Server 2008. Finally, there is a MS Excel 2007 explanation and interpretation of the measured values (reporting), which is taken from the available sources of ČON, s.r.o. and is compared against the set strategic goals and metrics of the company. The results of this thesis are based on actual demands of the company and are ready to be implemented and used in real-life.
Strategy map of a catering company

In the diploma thesis Strategy map of a catering company the strategic map of a model catering company operating on Czech market has been constructed. Strategy map was chosen as a transparent and effective measure concerning the important parts of the strategy of the concrete company in a way of visual shortcut in line with the well-known methodology: KAPLAN, Robert S., NORTON, David P.: Strategy Maps, Harvard Business School Publishing Corporation, Boston 2004. ISBN 1-59139-134-2. In the theoretical part of this diploma thesis the basic elements important for the construction of the strategy map were described and also the professional services of the catering company were presented. In the practical part the catering market of Czech Republic is analysed and then, on the basis of determined opportunities, the newly founded company VIP Catering is being modelled. This company addresses VIP clients with the offer of first class quality VIP services. Subsequently its mission, vision, SWOT analysis were determined, strategic goals were analysed and divided into four basic perspectives and reliable key performance indicators were suggested. Consequently strategic iniciatives and appropriate organization structure were developped. At the end of the practical part the strategy map for the VIP catering company was designed and the causal relationships among the strategy elements were outlined. The main result of the diploma thesis lies in the originally constructed strategy map on of a newly established catering company operating on Czech market.

Balanced scorecard is a tool to execute and monitor the organizational strategy by using a combination of financial and non financial measures. It is designed to translate vision and strategy into objectives and measures across four balanced perspectives: financial, customers, internal business process and learning and growth. It gives a framework ensuring that the strategy is translated into a coherent set of performance measures. Strategy maps are a complementary tool to the balanced scorecard, and provide a visual representation of the components of an organization's strategy.
Metrics model of service organization and its evaluation using Business Intelligence

This thesis deals with corporate management and measurement of strategic business performance. The main object of this thesis is to design a system for strategic management of service organization and try to apply this model in environment of chosen service. Balanced Scorecard methodology was used to achieve this objective and the metric model and strategy map of service organization is based on its principles. The first part of the thesis is aimed at theoretical aspects of corporate management and measurement of strategic business performance, so it focused on Balanced Scorecard, Business Intelligence and Corporate performance management. This part provides theoretical framework for the next part of this thesis. The next part deals with applicability of theoretical concepts at chosen service company. The objective was to implement some metrics originating from the previously constructed metric model using Business Intelligence. The outputs of this part are metric model depicted in the form of strategy map and management reports in form of graphs and tables that monitor the business performance through chosen metrics.

Cílem této práce je napomoci realizaci aktuální strategie v podniku BAEST, a.s. prostřednictvím konceptu Balanced Scorecard. Strategie podniku se v této práci analyzuje a vybírají se nejvýznamnější cíle, které se stávají součástí strategické mapy podniku. Tato práce obsahuje též měřítka a strategické akce k vybraným strategickým cílům. Úkolem strategické mapy je stanovení priorit (na které cíle se má podnik zaměřit, aby dosáhl stanovené strategie), komunikace strategie napříč podnikem a měření naplňování strategie.
