Model Study of Ultrasound Effects on Fetal Development
Jaroš, Josef ; Halámek, Josef (referee) ; Hrazdíra,, Ivo (referee) ; Rozman, Jiří (advisor)
The progress in ultrasound techniques goes hand in hand with increasing of diagnostic machine acoustic outputs. Ultrasound biological effects can adversely influence the development of human fetus. Recent studies of thermal effect on biological tissues are usually based on simulation of simple ultrasound transducers. The aim of this work is to build a flexible model of diagnostic system to simulate temperature increase during fetal development. Different types of ultrasound probes were used for generation of acoustic field with simulated piezoelectric element properties. Optimized linear and phased arrays were modeled with dynamic beam steering and focus. Computer simulations were concentrated on extreme conditions in obstetric ultrasonography and 3D tissue model was compared with real ultrasound probes measurements. To detect temperature increase, the bone tissue phantom was used. Results point out potential risks for fetus with diagnostic ultrasound probes. Based on the results of this work, practical recommendations increasing safety of obstetric examinations were drawn.
Selected Methods of Improvement for the Driver's Orientation on the Roads
Černoch, Adam ; Valentová, Veronika (referee) ; Frič, Jindřich (advisor)
The aim of this thesis is to find suitable measures which will lead to the improvement of driver orientation in traffic spaceleading to lower the accident rate in the area. The theoretical part describes the traffic surveys that relate to the topic. Furthermore, the work mentioned detectors used for the implementation of automated traffic surveys. The theoretical part also describes methods that can be used to analyze the selected location and then design the ideal modification. At the end gives an overview of the various measures. In the practical part are different methodologies used for the analysis of selected intersections. Firstly, the analysis of observed conflict situations, including making conflicting diagram, under which was designed to measure. Then, the analysis of traffic accidents. Again, the result was a proposal for possible actions. The main objective was to compare and appreciation of both methodologies and proces design measures to improve driver orientation in the selected location.
Thermoacoustic measurement of ultrasonic power
Vysoudil, Ladislav ; Čížek, Martin (referee) ; Rozman, Jiří (advisor)
The assignment of this work is to suggest structural design of thermoacoustic sensor and experimentally verify his function for testing intensity of ultrasound diagnostic systems. Then the measured results are compared with measurement by the hydrophone in ultrasonic measuring tank. Opening part of this work is focused on functional description of sensors and their construction, including functional description and construction of hydrophone. The rest of the work deals with project of thermoacoustic sensor and measuring with sensor and hydrophone and evaluation results of measurement. Intention of this work is to verify the correct function of designed thermoacoustic sensor with the help of comparison measurement with hydrophone.
Modification of signalized intersection in Kunovice
Kosňovská, Vendula ; Dorňák, David (referee) ; Smělý, Martin (advisor)
The main theme of the master’s thesis is optimization of traffic on the signalized intersection on náměstí Svobody in Kunovice. Here is project of new signal plans with minimal conversions at the crossroads to maximal lifetime of signalized intersection.
Evaluation of Lighting Quality Using Modern Software Tools
Fazekas, Tibor ; Škoda, Jan (referee) ; Baxant, Petr (advisor)
This thesis deals with the evaluation of the quality of lighting with the usage of the latest software products used nowadays. The first part of the work is about indoor lighting, the basic requirements invested in lighting, and the basic concepts of indoor lighting. The second part includes complete search for today's computer implements for projecting, simulating, calculation and analysis of light, their functions and characteristics, including luminance analyzers based on CCD sensors and their software equipment. The last part of the work has the task to model a computer room using softwares which can be found within the territory of VUT Brno, and the task was to assess its lighting. Following this, with the help of luminance analyzer, the task is to capture the scene under different lighting conditions and to evaluate the measured data.
Analysis of traffic lanes joining processes
Mikolášek, Igor ; Všetečka, Martin (referee) ; Holcner, Petr (advisor)
The aim of this paper is to analyse the behaviour of the traffic flow at an area of merging traffic lanes where an application of the zip rule is expected, accoding to the law no. 361/2000 Sb. “o provozu na pozemních komunikacích”. Žabovřeská street, part of the VMO Brno, in the direction from Královopolské tunely to Hlinky interchange was chosen for observation and measuring. Observation, first-hand measurement, radars, and other available means were used for data collection. On the basis of data analysis, several suggestions for improvements are made. These are aimed at increasing the bottleneck capacity. One of the suggestions is tested in a simulation program Aimsun.
Modern fitness exercises and their impact on the health of women in the age 30-45
VÍTOVCOVÁ, Alena
Thesis deals with the influence of the modern fitness exercises on the health of women in the age group 30-45 years. The importance of exercise for every woman is an undisputed and plays a large role in the prevention of civilization diseases. In this work, I compared the two modern fitness exercises, Jumping and Zumba. Research involving 45 women aged 30-45 years. For women, I measured the changes in the physical and mental state, which arose from the influence of the 12-week program of modern fitness exercises. In the control group of women was only measuring in the same period of time. The influence of modern fitness exercises on the psychology of women, I assess the questionnaire POP. Using the methods (BMI, waist circumference and the method of BIA), I verified the effectiveness of individual movement programs. The intensity of the load during the exercise units I followed and evaluated using sporttesters. Modern fitness exercise has a positive effect on the psychology of women in the age group 30-45 years. The negative aspect of both modern fitness programs is too high, the intensity of the exercise. Keywords:

Bayesovské odhadování délky kolony
Dohnal, Pavel
The paper deals with an application of Bayes for estimation of the queue length in junction arm. In Bayesian view the concept of probability is not interpreted in terms of limits of relative frequencies but more generally as a subjective measure of belief of a rationally and consistently reasoning person which is used to describe quantitatively the uncertain relationship between the statistician and the external world. This model splits controlled networks into microregions. The queue length and the occupancy of each junction approach are the basic state quantities for fully expressed traffic situation at given time instant. The occupancy determines relative time of the detector activation during sample period, i.e. the proportion of time when detector has been occupied and total time of measuring period. The optimization criterion for this attitude is minimization of the queue length. For clearness, the model is derived for simple junction.
Models of 2D point processes applied to analysis of random sums
Volf, Petr
The contribution deals with the compound (cumulative) random process, i.e. the sequence of random increments at random moments. The process is modeled as a 2D point process (or 2D random counting measure), via the intensities of both components. The study starts from the case of compound Poisson process and generalizes to the cases when the components depend on each other, and also on a set of covariates. An example deals with the sequence of financial transactions.
