This thesis is dealing with optimization by using artificial intelligence of an induction machine rotor slot. The one optimized is commonly manufactured induction motor with simple deep bar rotor. Goal is to design an optimization method and achieve the highest possible value of efficiency and power factor of chosen machine. Work contains the parametric model construction in Ansys Maxwell software, the optimization algorithm assembly and its setup for desirable output, and processing of the results.
Design of induction machine for cascade water pump system
Juchelka, Roman ; Mach, Martin (referee) ; Ondrůšek, Čestmír (advisor)
This thesis deals with the design of electrical machine for direct drive of cascade liquid pumping system. At the beginning a suitable type of electrical machine and some of its basic parameters are selected. Finally, the 4 pole three phase induction machine powered by alternating voltage 3x400 V was chosen. After that complete design is made with respect to all specified requirements. The designed machine is analyzed with the use of ANSYS Maxwell and RMxprt software. The main outcome of the thesis are dimensional sketches of the engine that will be used as the basis for the production of the prototype.
Power supply in an automobile
Soukup, Patrik ; Mach, Martin (referee) ; Hájek, Vítězslav (advisor)
This work deals with the study of automotive alternators and their theoretical analysis. We can find there a listing of losses arising from the alternator, explanation of their formation and also the way of their reduction. Losses reduction is one of the aspects of innovation leading to increase in overall efficiency of the automotive alternator. Therefore a design of particular ways of innovation is made in this work and subsequently the design is verificated using Maxwell - RMxprt.
Losses of capacitor run induction motor
Štaffa, Jiří ; Hájek, Vítězslav (referee) ; Mach, Martin (advisor)
This project deals with increasing efficiency of one phase induction motor with permanent split capacitor. We can whole thesis divide into two parts, the first one is basic and the second is interested in analysis and measurement. First part handles with construction of single phase induction motor, explanation of function principle, start and run of motor. Calculating of efficiency including type of losses, which reduce efficiency. Second part concerns analysis losses including moment load characteristic, motor measurement while rotor is locked, with no load operation, measuring mechanical and additional losses. Further there will be measured useful values for creation model for simulation (reactance of windings etc.). Than will be the model created in ANSYS Maxwell with module RMxprt. After analytic calculation in RMxprt and using Finite Element Method (FEM) load characteristics will be compared together. This comparison gives us information about accuracy of model for simulation. Simulation and measurement will be carried out on another engine with high quality ferromagnetic material used for magnetic circuit of motor. Further will be done simulation of motor with modifications shown in previous chapter for high efficiency.
The influence of eccentricity upon the radial forces in an induction motor
Formánek, Jakub ; Hájek, Vítězslav (referee) ; Janda, Marcel (advisor)
The aim of this master thesis is to get familiar with the influence of radial forces in the induction machine. Induction motor is one of the most commonly used and most extended type of machine, therefore it is useful to detect the intensity of theese forces and their influence at operation of the machine. In this work ,radial forces are computed by the software simulation in ANSYS Maxwell. Models are created with help of module Rmxprt and finite elements method. These models are based on real induction motors with predefined size of eccentricity. In the final part we perform a measurement of deviations on the real machine using vibrometer.
Design of outrunner PMSM
Dudáš, Juraj ; Huzlík, Rostislav (referee) ; Vítek, Ondřej (advisor)
The diplomatic thesis will describe the principle functions of synchronous motors with permanent magnets, for therein analysis of PMSM and BLDC motors. We will make calculation of the required parameters from the power unit for glider Discus 2. We will create a design of BLDC and PMSM motor from specified parameters. Features of the proposed engines will be verified with the help of the programs FEMM, RMxprt, Maxwell. At the end of the work will make conclusion about the diplamatic project and diffrences between PMSM and BLDC motor.
Automotive Alternator Innovation
Volek, Martin ; Hýsek, Roman (referee) ; Hájek, Vítězslav (advisor)
The work deals with the analytical electromagnetic design of automotive claw-pole alternator 14V/120A. This design is verified in program Maxwell with a RMxprt tool. The results of both calculations are compared. Designed alternator is also compared with the results measured in the laboratory on the alternators of similar type. Furthermore, there are analyzed individual power losses of machine and listed options of reducing these losses, which results in an increase in overall efficiency.
Analysis, design and optimization of automotive starter
Benetka, Martin ; Hýsek, Roman (referee) ; Hájek, Vítězslav (advisor)
This thesis aims at automotive starters, their construction, characteristics and problems with starting at low temperatures. There are kinds of starters, function principle, construction, advantages and disadvantages in the first part of thesis. Issues with combustion engine starting and basic technical requirements are also mentioned here; characteristics and importance of starters and combustion engines are also described. Last chapters of this part are dedicated to finite element method and its implication. There are analytical calculations of starter in the second part of thesis. Results are compared with experimental obtained (measured) values and results from RMxprt. Finite element method results are compared, too. Magnetic induction improvement in stator is also suggested.
Design, simulation and usability of the electric machine designed for the spinning bicycle
Sádlík, Jiří ; Huzlík, Rostislav (referee) ; Kurfűrst, Jiří (advisor)
This thesis provides complete design of generator into a spinning bike. The issue of current development is solved and the analytical design of the generator is made. The software Maxwell is being used for the analysis and optimization. On the basis of the obtained results is designed a model and a design drawing of the generator. The end of the thesis deals with the issue of connecting the generator to the mains supply and price calculation of the investment return.
Simulation of synchronous generator at insular operation
Kořistka, Petr ; Ondrůšek, Čestmír (referee) ; Huzlík, Rostislav (advisor)
This work deals with a creation of model of synchronous generator in programmes such as Simplorer and Maxwell, and also its operation in an insular operation. In the paper are described Maxwells equations for solving electromagnetic field, theory of synchronous machine, further are briefly described a simulation programmes which were used. In the next part of work is described production of geometric model of generator and its later electromagnetic analysis in the Maxwell programmes environment. For a simulation of generators operation in insular operation were chosen 2 cases. The first case simulates an operation of generator at the step change of residence of R-L load, the second simulation an automatic regulation of voltage at the step change of residence of R-L load. The simulations were running in the Simplorer programme and at link simulation Maxwell Simplorer programmes.
