Methodology and standards of process management and modeling

This thesis deals with the topic of process management and modeling. It is divided into two parts - theoretical and practical. The first three chapters are theoretical. The first chapter covers the methods of process management. The second chapter describes the standards of process modeling. The third chapter is concerned with the MMABP method of process management and modeling, as developed at the University of Economics. The practical part comprises two chapters. The first one is dedicated to a questionnaire survey in the field of process modeling including its evaluation. The second chapter of practical part is focused on reengineering of company processes within a department of a large multinational corporation.
Organisational internal operations in the branch system

The thesis is focused on business processes with a link to a concrete small-scale enterprise. The aim of this work is the project of selected major processes. The theoretical part explains the difference between processional and functional management, describes the basic methods and standards of modeling process, selection method for the purpose of practical part with the reference to the specifics of the enterprise. The practical part contains market analysis, analysis of surrounding requirements and made project of certain process according to chosen modeling method.
The process analysis of an online shop with design accessories

The aim of this thesis is to analyze processes of an online shop with design accessories. The theoretical part of this thesis briefly describes business processes and history of process management. There are also mentioned notations and software, in which business processes are being modeled. The practical part analyzes several key processes of the company (online shop) and subsequently suggests how to optimize them. The whole practical part is focused on a real business that is very specific, so proposed changes of the analysis may not be used for a wider range of companies involved in selling goods through online shops.
Examination of an organization's process maturity

This diploma thesis is dedicated to the examination of maturity levels of the rescue service of the central bohemian region. Furthermore to using the results of the examination to formulate recomandations in order to ease possible effort of the management to introduce approaches of the process management into the organization. Levels of maturity are examined by the factors identified by Mike Hammer in his PEMM (Process and Enterprise Maturity Model) model. Whole document is logically divided into four parts. The first part consists of detail description of the organization from three different angles. Purpose of the organization, strategic goals of the management and the organizational structure. Second part includes global and detail business process models created by the MMABP (Methodology for Modelling and Analysis of Business Process) by prof. Ing. Václav Řepa Csc. The models are created in the BPMN (Business Process Modelling Notation) and Eriksson-Penker notation. There are also included process interfaces and object lifecycles in the second part. Third part is where the comparison of described reality and the PEMM model factors of maturity is being made. All the maturity levels of the factors are argumented here as well. In the last part of this document, there is a presentation of the recomandations concluded from the previous comparison.
Evaluation of standards and tools for process modeling

The subject of the presented thesis is process modeling. The process modeling and process management is at present for many companies interesting issue, which is referred to as business process management (BPM). Large numbers of standards and tools have been developed to support business process management. The goal of this study is to compare different standards and tools for process modeling according to the process maturity of the organization, and to recommend a specific tool. The standards and tools are compared by demands selected according to the study of the literature and author's knowledge. At the same time, companies are divided to groups according to their requirements according to process maturity of the company and therefore the requirements for process modeling. Demands for comparison of the standards and tools are used depending on the process maturity of company using the Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI). For each level of process maturity recommendations of appropriate tools are presented, that could support the efforts of companies to achieve a given maturity level. Subsequently, the evaluation model with demands is used to recommend appropriate tool for a retail company.

The Market offer more than one solution of each problem but each solution has different cost and functionality. These facts are reasons why importance of consulting and analytical work has been growing. We need type people, who solve the intellectual, terminological and ideological misunderstanding between producer and customer Department where I work and write my bachelor thesis has problems and thus has room for improvement. The aim of this bachelor thesis is to analyze the problems and come up with the spectrum of possibilities that solves them. I use my theoretic knowledge from university and my practical experience from work during analysis. At first I want to describe department`s environment and then the processes. After the description I will be able to identify critical places and propose their optimization. Designing mass modification of client contact records and theirs consolidation within financial institution

This master thesis deals with management request towards informatics department within front company that provides wide range of financial services. Demand refers to client contact data, particularly correspondence addresses and calls for possibility to mass change such records. There are several relatively separated tasks which need to be discussed in order to fulfill the request. First part introduces the company and analyze current situation. Then continue by describing correspondence addresses issue and supports with reasons for the inevitable change. Company's information system architecture is outlined with emphasis on central database that is being formed. This part also further describes options how data can be stored. Middle part contains reason--based choice where correspondence records should be maintained in company's data architecture. Implementation plan with chosen storage pattern is formed here and connected changes in system are highlighted. As a last processes connected to correspondence addresses mass modification are described and drawn with selected notation. After that user graphic interface is designed as a place where the self request will be served.
Projection of software application supporting processes for small shop dealing with information technologies

The dissertation focuses on projection of information system supporting processes for small shop dealing with information technologies. The first part of the dissertation is concerned with the necessary theoretical base to this topic. In the second part, which is practical, is described the solved problem in detail using soft system methodology. It is also described how to choose the proper business form. Then this part considers a proposal of software application itself. Requirements on developed software can be found here and the main processes of the shop are mapped and decomposed. Projection of information system, systém analysis, soft systém methodology, CATWOE, UML, process modelling, use-case diagrams, state diagrams, dropship.
