Use of additive technology for the design and production of eye prosthesis prototype
Vocílka, Ondřej ; Sliwková, Petra (referee) ; Sedlák, Josef (advisor)
This diploma thesis has an aim to fabricate a prototype of esthetical prosthesis using solely Rapid Prototyping aditive technology and to explore the possibility of using commercially available biocompatible materials. In the theoretical part, a description of types of ocular prosthesis types with the focus being on esthetic ocular prosthesis. is given. The practical part of the work offers a comprehensive view on the whole process of the prototype fabrication. It provides a description of creating the 3D model by scanning, geometrical adjustments of the model, textures mapping, print optimization and the printing itself. The closing part of the thesis consists of a discussing focused on an evaluation of the fabricated prototype followed by technical-economical assesment, a proposal of next steps, and a proposal of current usage of the created method.
Design and production of prototype badge using technology Reverse Engineering and Rapid Prototyping
Benáček, Filip ; Kalivoda, Milan (referee) ; Slaný, Martin (advisor)
The work focuses on the design of piece production of the car character which combines geometry of the primary objects. These objects were converted into digital form by reverse engineering and subsequently merged using the appropriate software. The acquired model of the character was made by Rapid Prototyping technology and let to making the mold. Piece production of the character was ensured by gravity casting of the epoxide into the mold.
Manufacture of a prototype component by rapid prototyping method
Křupka, Marek ; Stachovec, Ivo (referee) ; Kosour, Vojtěch (advisor)
This thesis describes the production of a prototype component of the bicycle crank with FDM Rapid Prototyping method. Initially, production methods of this component, using different ways of Rapid Prototyping are summarized. The main part of the thesis focuses on the production process from the initial design to the final wax model, which can be used to manufacture metal components. The conclusion compares the component production using standard technology with the one using Rapid Prototyping.
Application of Modern Technologies to Concept of Production of Car Part Prototype
Bachorík, Patrik ; Jaroš, Aleš (referee) ; Sedlák, Josef (advisor)
The objective of my bachelor thesis is the design and manufacture of a prototype component for automobile industry. Specific designs and parameters of the prototype component were constructed in 3D parametric software Autodesk Inventor. Additive method Fused Deposition Modeling – a 3D printer uPrint was used for the production of the prototype component. A part of my work was the manufacturing of a silicone form with the use of a vacuum – moulding system. The purpose of this form was casting the required number of prototype components made of commercially available materials. Also, metrologic measuring of the pieces was carried out using 3D measuring machine with the aim of evaluation of manufacturing tolerance limits compared to the engineering drawing. The work was finished with technical and economic evaluation of the manufacture process of the prototype component with the subsequent analysis and overall assessment of the most convenient economic variant.
Application of modern technologies for design and production of a ski helmet prototype
Vilímovský, Daniel ; Pokorný, Zdeněk (referee) ; Sedlák, Josef (advisor)
The diploma thesis is focused on the application of modern technologies in ski helmets development. In the theoretical part is performed the research of the protective gear for skiers including the characteristics of production technologies used for its production. Part of the thesis is also the characteristics of Reverse Engineering and Rapid Prototyping. The practical part deals with the design of the ski helmet using modeling clay with the following conversion to a computer model and editing in available CAx program. Part of the practical part is also production on 3D printer. The thesis is concluded with a technical-economic evaluation of applicated modern technologies used for prototype helmet model production.
Application of Modern Technologies for Production of Front Part Fastening System Mountaineering Crampons
Samohýl, Lukáš ; Zouhar, Jan (referee) ; Sedlák, Josef (advisor)
The aim this bachelor thesis is a production of prototype front part fastening system mountaineering crampons. In this work will be carried out the design and construction of a new prototype parts using the parametric application SolidWorks. For prototype production front part crampons will be used additive method Fused Deposition Modeling - uPrint 3D printer. Part of the work will be production of silicone moulds front part crampons using vacuum casting system. Silicone mould will be used for casting of a certain number parts from commercially available materials. The work will be finished with technical and economic evaluation of production front part crampons with recommendations and the best economic analysis of alternatives.
Usage of modern technologies for manufacturing the blades of fishing baits
Barcuch, Jakub ; Dvořáček, Jan (referee) ; Sedlák, Josef (advisor)
The aim of this thesis was to design a number of blades for fishing baits in 3D parametric CAD system Autodesk Inventor 2010 and their production with using the additive technology of Rapid Prototyping. The method Fused Deposition Modeling will be used to produce the master model blades. The silicon molds for the production of resin casings will be created for blades with compliant properties. The work contains an overview of commercially available Rapid Prototyping methods, their brief description, advantages and disadvantages.
Comparison of certified and lowcost material for stereolithography 3D print
Sobota, Matej ; Zatočilová, Aneta (referee) ; Koutecký, Tomáš (advisor)
The aim of the bachelor’s thesis is to define basic quality parameters and compare material impact on quality of printed products. This is a comparison certified material with low-cost material using SLA-DLP method of 3D printing to reduce production costs. The thesis is focused on the comparison of two different materials based on the results of tensile and hardness tests. The effect of the color of photopolymer on material properties is also observed.
Implementation of 3D RepRap Printer
Sochor, Marek ; Zouhar, Jan (referee) ; Sedlák, Josef (advisor)
The aim of the bachelor thesis is build and verify the functionality of the 3D RepRap printer . The printer will be assembled from normally available parts and also 3D printed parts, becouse its main idea of the RepRap. After verifying the functionality of 3D RepRap printer We print identical part on two types of printers (RepRap 3D printer tand uPrint printer) and to evaluate the overall analysis (financially and physical). The work will be completed evaluation of usability and competitiveness assembled RepRap printer in practice and will be carried out, the technic-economic evaluation.
Modification of 3D milling machine to 3D printer
Halamíček, Lukáš ; Vetiška, Jan (referee) ; Bradáč, František (advisor)
This thesis deals with rebuilding of engraving machine to 3D printer. In the first part it describes possible 3D printing technologies and its utilizations in rebuilding. In the next section suitable parts for reconstruction are chosen and described. Then the controlling of heating bed, hot end and filament feed is realized by using software TwinCAT by company Beckhoff. Functional 3D printer should be result of this thesis.
