Vorek, Miroslav ; Wünschová Pujmanová, Alexandra (advisor) ; Císařová, Zuzana (referee)
My thesis deals with economic rights in copyright. Economic rights in copyright are the rights that have an economic importance. They provide authors a possibility of financial evaluation of their creative work or at least prevent other persons, without permission of the author profited from his creative effort. There are many authors, but not all of them can live on their creation. However every single author may be sure that nobody will dispose with his work without he has the possibility to influence it. The possibility of financial satisfaction is not only a financial reward for the activity of the authors, but it is also a motivation for them to spend their time by creating. Economic rights in copyright enable authors to make their works available to the public and currently to have control over such activity, that can be very profitable for others. Thanks to their economic rights the authors can participate in the economic success of their works achieved by making them available to the public. It is for the good of the authors to make their works available to the public. But making works available to the public may be a complicated process, which requires a...

Health insurance and additional insurance above standard care
DUBSKÁ, Linda
We could define healthcare as a system of specialized medical institutions and activities that focus on public health care and are used to meet the healthcare needs of the population. The main source of healthcare funding is health insurance that covers approximately 77 %. Health insurance is based on Article 31 of the Charter of Fundamental Rights and Basic Freedoms and it is based on several principles. About 3.8 % of the costs from the state budget goes to healthcare. Private resources are another source of funding, including regulatory fee, additional charge for medicines and dental products and recently introduced additional charge for above-standard services. The share of the participation of the insured persons is low and it is only the additional form of the funding. However, its importance is increasing nowadays. Healthcare is also funded by other resources which are marginal only and they account for negligible 1 % of income. These include charity donations and charitable contributions Healthcare funding is currently a problem with global dimensions. This is mainly due to the progress and new medical technologies as their offer exceeds the economic capacity of all countries. The reform of Czech healthcare was performed to ensure the financial stability of the system and keeping costs at an acceptable level. One part of the reform efforts is rationalization of healthcare demand using the introduction of the regulatory fees and thus obtaining new resources, too. The reform also introduced the so-called above-standard services, i.e. economically more expensive healthcare alternatives, which are supposed to obtain more private resources into the system. Czech Republic citizens can use basic healthcare funded by statutory health insurance and also the above-standard services for which they must pay extra money. These include for example the possible use of higher quality materials necessary for the treatment (economically more expensive health care alternative), your choice of physician - surgeon, above-standard equipped rooms during hospitalization etc. If the insured person chooses economically more expensive alternative, he is legally obligated to pay the difference between the prices of this alternative and economically cheaper alternative. The list of the above-standard services currently contains 18 items and should continue to grow. The aim of this bachelor thesis is to summarize the current legislation of this issue and in particular to determine whether the respondents are willing to use the supplementary insurance to receive above-standard services. There is outlined the historical development of health insurance, health insurance principles and its institutional provision in the theoretical part. The attention is paid to the expenses that flow to the Czech healthcare and there is briefly described healthcare systems functioning in selected countries for international comparison. Conclusion of the theoretical part contains information about the above-standard services issue and about the attitude of the Czech insurance companies to the option of additional insurance of this healthcare. The practical part of the thesis is a critical examination of the interest of the insured persons to in using the above-standard healthcare and furthermore whether the respondents consider the possibility of a private insurance for the event of excessive cost needs and what forms and types of healthcare they prefer. Data were collected using the quantitative research and querying method. There were set 3 research hypotheses.

Bitcoins: Inception of New Era in Monetary Policy?
Vít, Ondřej ; Doležal, Ondřej (advisor) ; Sunega, Petr (referee)
This work presents an economic analysis of virtual currency and a system of payment known as Bitcoin. From many goals of this work, the main is to answer a question, whether the Bitcoins are to cause revolution at financial markets. To solve this I applied theoretical knowledge of Austrian school on the Bitcoin currency. Given this facts it has turned out, that the nature of Bitcoin truly is revolutionary. However, it would be wrong to assume, that the Bitcoins are to actually spark significant changes in current monetary system. For a better understanding of all circumstances, the development of an exchange and the evolution of money was involved in this work. From an economical perspective, it is obvious, that the Bitcoins certainly are a new kind of currency that flows beside money but also cannot replace it. It is the specificity of the system what creates barriers preventing Bitcoins from becoming more widespread and used more often. The benefits of this thesis lie in a complex economic analysis of Bitcoin currency and a prediction of its future development.

The future of central banking in the economic system of developed countries on a basis of evalution of the experience from the last decade
Vilt, Lukáš ; Ševčík, Miroslav (advisor) ; Munzi, Tomáš (referee)
Thesis is dealing with the development of the central banking on the basis of experience from the last decade. Hypothesis is the statement, whether the central banks of the developed economies are increasingly less capable of the effective reactions on the accelerating development of the global economy and their position in the money emission and regulation of the banking sector is and will be more and more weakened by the alternative banking and monetary systems. This hypothesis is successfully disproved because of the behavior of the four chosen central banks which are CNB, FED, ECB and BoJ. The main reason was an increase in their activities and interventions causing among others multiplication of their balance sheets. On the other hand the alternative in the free banking is further from the reality than before. Virtual currencies also did not show threatening growth of the national currencies substitution in the reference period. Thesis also provides insight into new and potentially new instruments of the central banks.

Střecha, Michal ; Karpová, Eva (advisor) ; Izák, Vratislav (referee) ; Šaroch, Stanislav (referee) ; Křelinová, Jana (referee)
The public debt is considered as an important indicator of the macroeconomic and financial stability of the domestic economy. It reflects a quality of the fiscal policy and the sustainability of the public finances. The public debt has been recently paid more attention in the context of the last financial and debt crisis initiated in 2008. A considerable amount of literature has been published on the topic of interconnections between budget balances and macroeconomic environment. However, the budget deficit is only a consequence of higher public expenditures than public revenues. Therefore, the debt is only an alternative source of financing the budget deficit. One of the main ideas of the doctoral thesis is that the macroeconomic effects of the fiscal policy represented by the budget deficits and effects of the public debt should differ. While activities of the fiscal policy effect the real economic indicators such as the GDP, an increase in the public debt effects the monetary indicators such as the exchange rate, the market interest rate and the money supply. The main object of the doctoral thesis is the analysis of the public debt development including the changes in the public debt structure broken down by debt instruments, currency, maturity and the holder profile. Besides, other main object is to analyse the macroeconomic effects of various forms of a public debt; firstly the attention is paid to different monetary effects of the domestic and the external public debt. The doctoral thesis suggests a new point of view to the analysis of the macroeconomic effects and sustainability of a public debt. The findings can be used in the decision making process; If a public deficit is supposed to be domestic debt or external debt financed. Apart from the effects of the changes in the outstanding debt, the effects of the changes in the public debt structure are examined.
