Growth investing to small cap stocks

This thesis focuses on indentification of financial analysis indicators of small firms. These indicators should help investors to use growth investing method within their first pick stocks. Discussed indicators are from capital market, rentability, indebtedness and liquidity areas. The resulting values of these indicators are interpreted accordingly to the strategy of the company. That helps to identify the company's strengths and weeknesses. This thesis contains of basic theoretical knowledge of growth investing and specifics of small companies. It also comprises of results of older empirical studies in which growth and value investing was compared. The growth investing methods by Jime Slater. There were used 14 historically significantly above average growing companies registred in NASDAQ for the purpose of analysis.
Analysis of the small company´s personal work

This work deals with human resources management in small companies. In its theoretical part there are first clarified specifics of small companies' management and then there are described personal processes and work that should be done in small organisations in detail. The aim of the first part of the thesis is to make a theoretical framework for the second -- practical part. In the second part small enterprise is presented and personal work which is done in it is described. The goal of the analytical part and the result at the same time is an analysis of these processes and also recommendations that would, in case of application, lead to an improvement of the company's human resources management system and implicitly to higher competitiveness in a particular branch.

The aim of this bachelor thesis is to analyze the most important human resources activities in a specific small company, then compare the results with theoretical knowledge and suggest possible improvements or changes. The most important human resources activities are personnel planning, analysis of jobs, recruitment, employee adaptation, evaluation, motivation, education and development. Information used in the practical part were obtained from interviews with managers and internal documents provided.

This thesis is focused on analysis of personnel activities of the organization and motivation of employees to explore the implementation of the HR functions in a small company and determine the level of motivation and satisfaction of its employees. Output from the analysis should help the company to take such measures that could help to improve the functioning of the enterprise. In the first part is initially described the theoretical basis necessary for understanding the topic. I deal with some chosen personnel activities such as staff planning, jobs analysis, staff attracting and selecting, adaptation, remuneration and redundancies. The basic concepts related to motivation of employees are explained there, including some selected theories of motivation and the means of influence of motivation to work. In the practical part I apply the gained knowledge to a description and analysis of personnel activities exercised in a particular company. To determine the motivation of employees was carried out by a questionnaire. Results from this research have revealed some problem areas, which would be needfull to focus on and improve existing processes.
Specifics of choice and implementation of an accounting software in a small firm

The aim of this thesis is the total analysis of human resources management and its particular human resources processes in a small company (fitness centre). There are described and analysed established processes of human resources management in the thesis. The theory based on modern literature of human resources management is compared with established practices in the small company. On the base of the comparison of the theory and practices there are identified and explained good examples and mistakes of the human resources management in the company. There are suggestions and recommendations that should be taken into account in order to improve the human resources management in the company.

This master thesis deals with problems of changes in the management of human resources connected to an expansion of a company. It focuses on small and middle-sized companies. The first part describes theoretical principles of company growth, change management and specifics of small and middle-sized companies, including differences in human resources management. The second part describes some practical examples in the field of company growth and related changes. Different attitudes and ways applied to implement changes while solving growth problems are shown on the sample of two selected companies Each of the two companies finally developed in an opposite way, depending on how they had implemented changes. The first company continues its development as a middle-sized company and the latter bankrupted. Analysis of reasons of the success or failure while managing the growth is a part of this master thesis.

Enterprise Portal in NH Group

Today, information is increasingly important for the functioning of enterprises. For the effective use of data it is possible to use different solutions IS / IT, one of them being corporate portal, the topic of this thesis. It describes the types and the elements and points out their advantages and disadvantages. In other parts of the thesis the selection, design of web sites structure and user authorization is described. Implementation and training for corporate portal users in a small company NH Group with use of MS Windows SharePoint Services 3.0 is also described. In the concluding chapter an evaluation of the project is presented and the draft procedures for MS SharePoint implementation which could be used in a similar environment are assessed.
