Šomplák, Radovan ; Mrázková, Eva (referee) ; Popela, Pavel (advisor)
This thesis deals with the evaluation of the strategic investment in the waste-to-energy plant development. The central supply of heat and the incineration plant connection can be provided for example by the distribution network. The objective is to find financially feasible solution regarding uncertain development of waste management and energy market. A heat supplies to district heating network significantly influences the strategic decision. A two-stage stochastic programming based on the scenarios and the GAMS software were applied to solve this task. The main contribution of this thesis is decision on crucial parameters of the waste-to-energy plant.

Data acquisition by Zigbee wireless technology
Kubíček, Lukáš ; Šilhavý, Pavel (referee) ; Koutný, Martin (advisor)
The bachelor thesis deals with a ZigBee wireless technology and focuses on the potential use in the sensor networks. This thesis addresses both the structure and basic properties of ZigBee standard and possible use of this application in practice. The main part of this work is implementation of the sensor networks using ZigBee development kit of Jennic company. As an example of the practical use of ZigBee technology this network is connected to a computer in which data is collected from each sensor using the database and then through a PHP script presented on the Internet. Problem solving in this thesis focuses primarily on the simplicity and universality of the resulting applications.

Data transmission in mobile networks
Bílek, Petr ; Molnár, Karol (referee) ; Havelka, Dušan (advisor)
The Bachelor’s thesis deals with mapping and usage of mobile networks of data transfers. It describes every particular generation of networks and technologies that they can use. This thesis is divided into two main parts, theological and practical. In the first part, the technologies of the second and third generation currently used for data transfer in mobile networks are described there. This concerns especially GPRS, EDGE and UMTS services. The thesis focuses on modulations used for these technologies, together with the coding and bit rates possible. It compares their advantages and disadvantages and presents their utilization among national operators. It also tries to sketch out the way the data services of mobile networks will proceed. The second part of the thesis is also divided into two parts. The first one is the simulation of the UMTS network with the assistance of the OPNET Modeller 14.5 environment. In this case, the thesis aims at two important characteristics - such as the dependence on the bit rate and distance of the primary station, and dependence on the bit rate and total load of the whole network. Both characteristics are observed mainly because of the bit rate and power characteristics. It describes objects and funcions of the OPNET environment. The next part in the practical section is the factual measurement of the Internet 4G service, provided by T-Mobile operator. The thesis focuses here on the presentation of the outcomes which were accomplished by the practical measurement of that service. The end of this thesis is dedicated to the comparasion of simulated outcomes with the outcomes practically measured, and to the conclusion of the results emerged from them.

Quality of Service Assurance introduction in Wireless Network
Branč, Martin ; Růčka, Lukáš (referee) ; Hošek, Jiří (advisor)
This bachelor´s thesis gives a complete overview of wireless networks 802.11.It describes the basic standards and their drafts. This thesis is divided into four chapters (sections), from which two are theoretical and two practical. The theoretical part contains a comprehensive overview of all standards, the history of wireless networks and technology. Further the support of quality of service in wireless networks is here analysed and in more detail standard 802.11e. In the practical part there is the network configuration described, at which the measurement was taken. The last part is already the implementation of support for quality of service, programme IxChariot measurement, evaluation of the results and differences between network traffic with and without support for quality of service.

Analysis of Quality of Service Assurance in Wireless Networks
Hornyak, Tomáš ; Kouřil, Jiří (referee) ; Hošek, Jiří (advisor)
This Bachelor thesis deals especially with possibilities of quality of service assurance and mobility implementation in wireless networks. It deals primarily with the possibilities of the IEEE 802.11e standard, with the applicability of the Mobile IPv4 protocol and with the computer simulation of their mutual coactions in the OPNET Modeler 12.0 environment. In the first part of the thesis the standard IEEE 802.11e is first of all analysed from the theoretical point of view. It is followed by the detailed description of the IEEE 802.11e standard, its individual parts and implementation possibilities of advanced technologies of the access to the medium which are included in the standard. In this part even the individual advantages and disadvantages of the original access methods of wireless networks of IEEE 802.11 standards are briefly outlined. Further part of this work deals with the theoretical analysis of mobility service assurance in the IP networks and with the mobility implementation in individual layers of the ISO/OSI models. Then the Mobile IPv4 protocol is presented here that carries out the mobility in the IP networks. The principle of this protocol is mentioned here and its individual components and the network architecture are presented. In the next part, on the basis of theoretical pieces of knowledge in the environment of the OPNET Modeler simulation tool the effect of the standard IEEE 802.11e implementation is examined on the selected statistics of the wireless local network. Furthermore the effect of the load in the network is followed up and standard modifications are discussed here to reach optimum results. The last part deals with the computer simulation of the Mobile IPv4 protocol in the wireless networks. Then the support of the IEEE 802.11e standard is implemented into the functioning network model and the reciprocal coactions of both technologies and a possible appearance of any problems are examined. For comparison, it is here in the OPNET Modeler environment even the mobility simulated which is based solely on the link layer.

Progressive Usage of Neural Networks in Telecommunication
Babnič, Patrik ; Kacálek, Jan (referee) ; Škorpil, Vladislav (advisor)
The main task of the Master Thesis is introduction into network elements in converget networks. Great importance is put on network elements today, that is why priority resolving is crucial. Theorethical part deals with network elements and neuron networks. Neuron networks were analysed from history to present. The main goal was to develop a neuron network topology able to manage a network element. The developed topology consists of four-layered perceptron network with four inputs and one output. The simulation was carried out on MATLAB software. No real data were used in the simulation. All input values were generated by MATLAB software hence it was a simulation.

Design methods for computer networks
Božek, Martin ; Stančík, Peter (referee) ; Hajný, Jan (advisor)
Bacherol‘s thesis deals with a topic of a suitable computer network design for a mid-sized infrastructure, its security and router and firewall realization. This boundary element is able to manage basic processes of network controlling between inner and outer network. There is a brief analysis of OSI model but we focused our attention on TCP/IP model more closely. Our project includes description and outlines an importance of the most common elements of the particular network type and their contribution to the security. Description of the three most frequent topologies of the infrastructure type follows. On the basis of the found information, we have chosen and analysed the most suitable topology from the security point of view. The result of the theoretical part is a network model proposal. In the practical part, some our findings are tested and implemented in a real setting. We used a technology of virtualization for the final realization and testing. Thanks to the virtualization used for realization and testing, we could configure the router and the firewall, which are boundary elements that separate the inner network from the Internet.
