Historic - geographical analysis of accesibility in Brno and Ostrava in 1920 - 2020
Častulík, Jonáš ; Hudeček, Tomáš (advisor) ; Hofman, Petr (referee)
The aim of this bachelor thesis is to compare time accessibility of railway and individual automobile traffic in Brno and Ostrava in 1918-2020 and to compare both cities with Prague. Analysis of traffic time accessibility and its visualization methods are described and construed in literature review (containing explanation of terms such as availability, GIS and network analysis). Historical development of Czech road and railway network is also included in this part. Following chapter is dedicated to methodology of data collection and creation of time accessibility map. The comparison of changes in utilization of railway and individual automobile traffic in Brno and Ostrava during hundred year development from 1921 to 2020 is the main purpose of the thesis. The results are confronted between these two cities and Prague. The comparative analysis of both means of transportation and their expediency are construed in discussions. For comparison and evaluation of traffic development in this study, isochronal maps of accessibility and its changes were created. An index of accessibility and plots of its progress during studied time periods were added.
Models of public transport in the GIS environment
Loukotka, Tomáš ; Grill, Stanislav (advisor) ; Brůha, Lukáš (referee)
Models of Public Mass Transportation in GIS Environment Abstract The thesis tries to describe and categorize models of public mass transportation. A new model is built upon these models and based on authors' thoughts. This model is constructed to work with headways only instead of timetables. Therefore one cannot precisely estimate the passengers' behaviour. The model works also with street network aside from public transportation lines. An application is built upon these model and allows network editing and processing of shortest-path analysis and accessibility analysis. Technologies used: ExtJS, OpenLayers, CGI, Shapely, STORM, PostgreSQL. This application is then used for building a public transportation network of Prague 6 region and for performing analysis upon this network.
Historic-geograpfical accessibility of Prague by road transport in 1918-2020 using GIS
Kufner, Jan ; Hudeček, Tomáš (advisor) ; Štych, Přemysl (referee)
The work deals with the centenarian development time accessibility of Prague using the road transport in the Czech Republic. Home research part is dedicated to the beginning of development of roads in the Czech Republic up to the planned completion of motorway network and also the matter of network analysis. The work seeks to demonstrate shortening the time distance from each places of the Czech Republic during the century. Parts of the work are isochronal maps of the accessibility of Prague and maps of changes in accessibility for single periods.
Analysis of price, time and distance accessibility diferentitation in the Czech railroad system
Hanes, Zuzana ; Lysák, Jakub (referee) ; Hudeček, Tomáš (advisor)
Analysis of differences in price, time and distinct measures of accessibility for eské dráhy Abstract The main aim of this thesis is to resolve the issue of accessibility in the passenger rail network of eské dráhy in the Czech Republic. Secondary objectives are the analysis of distance, time availability, and price of passenger rail service. The main sources are the Railway Timetable 2009 and the geographic database Arc R 500. Basic tool for the processing is geographic information system (GIS) with extension Network Analyst. The main aim of the thesis is to provide a database with the values of distance, time availability and price. Secondary aims are to produce partial maps which present various types of accessibility. Part of the results are also the methodology for establishing different kinds of accessibility, the evaluation of methods used, and quality assessment models used in relation to the database and partial results of comparison with the literature. Keywords: transport accessibility, rail transport, network analysis, accessibility, availability of models, Network Analyst
Influence of texture of briquettes from biomass to their mechanical properties
Černá, Iva ; Pecen, Josef (advisor) ; Jan, Jan (referee)
With the rising amount of AD technology utilizers, the issue how to storage, such liquid material, which digestate is. In recent time, there are some other ways to utilize it, except fertilizing with liquor, liquid part of digestate. Digestate can be dried and pressed into briquette or pelleted form. In briquette form is important to understand relations between properties of individual components because one property can influence another one, which constituting texture of the material and its reprocessing into the final form of the product. Thus this study was conducted, to find and/or quantify the relation between the texture of biomass briquettes and their durability and strength of shape during manipulation, storage and use. Basic hypothesis of this work is based on open presumption that briquette texture is dependent on many parameters. Some of those parameters were tested. Namely, composition of matter, physical properties of digestate briquettes, durability and hardness, size analysis and other. Digestate has approved as good material for compression with high content of nutrients. The rate of abrasion varied 7-12% at the beginning decreasing to 3-5%. Shore testing showed results predicating relation between particle size and hardness. Sieve and image analysis then showed range of particles ranging size 0.01 mm from 99.5% and 10 mm from 99.7%, most of them with needle-like shapes. This study suggested the method that allows analysing particle size distribution in sample and describes other briquette properties, which can be useful for next research and commercial purposes.
