Sociální determinanty zdraví a ekonomiky: Globální finanční krize 2007/08 a její dopad na blahobyt Evropanů
Scheier, Samuel ; Štěrbová, Ludmila (advisor) ; Mevenkamp, Nils (referee)
Objective Objective of this study was to investigate the impact of the recent economic crisis of 2007/2008 on the subjective well-being and health status in thirteen European countries. Methods The European Social Survey (ESS) database was searched for individual health and wellbeing indicators and the database of the European Commission Eurostat for economic indicators. Data representing social determinants like education, housing and employment status and others before, during and after the crisis were retrieved. Eurostat data were used to analyse economic indicators and health outcomes on country level. Descriptive statistics were used to describe the changes in the different parameters over time. Regression analysis was performed to demonstrate relations between subjective well-being and different social determinants. Results Between 2006 and 2012 all countries experienced changes in their populations' subjective well-being. From 2006 to 2010 (crisis) the number of people with good or very good subjective well-being increased in France, Ireland, Belgium and Portugal by 0.6%, 1.0%, 1.2% and 6.5%, respectively. In Denmark and Spain this number remained basically stable. In Sweden, the United Kingdom, Finland and Germany the percentage of the population with good or very good subjective well-being decreased by 1.1%, 2.7%, 1.7% and 2.8%, respectively. Regression analysis demonstrated a significant relation between good and very good subjective well-being and level of education, main activity during the last 7 days, satisfaction with life, satisfaction with household income, main source of household income, gender and age. This relation differed for various factors and countries. In none of the countries satisfaction with national health services and satisfaction with current state of economy within the country was found significantly related to subjective well-being. The main amendable determinant correlating with a higher degree of subjective well-being is good education. The correlation between education and subjective well-being got stronger after the crisis than before or during the crisis. Conclusion Economic development does not have a uniform impact on subjective well-being. Education is a major amendable determinant influencing individual well-being. We could not find evidence for any significant impact of the organization of the healthcare services or social system on the subjective well-being.

Sykáček, Jiří ; Šlais, Miroslav (referee) ; Císařová, Michaela (advisor)
The project developed in within the framework of Magister ´s studies of field M-STM is elaborated to meet customer requirements for manufacture of transformer station, which is intended for use in photovoltaic power station. Design and drawing documentation were prepared using 3D CAD System Solid Edge. Self-supporting frame of the transformer station welded from separate parts made from alu/zinc plates is in the form of a technological unit, which is equiped with electrical technology needed for safe and failure-free operation of the power station. It deals with technology of components production, including subsequent process of hard soldering and surface finishing. As the best solution was chosen processing of forming punching and using brake press. Chosen production methods are assessed not only form point of view of used technology, including the technical pitfalls associated with processing of alu/zinc plates, but also in terms of economic costs of manufacture throughout the transformer station. The forming processes are made using punching press TRUMPF TC200R, with rated shear force of 165 kN and brake press URSVIKEN Optiflex with rated compressive force 1 300 kN. Forming tools are optimally selected according to parameters of different types of parts. Finally, it compares the technical-economic aspects of production transformer station made of alu/zinc plates compared with whole-concrete construction of the station using bell-casting method.

Vliv metody ECAP na mikrostrukturu a creepové chování slitiny AL-3Mg-0,2Sc
Dvořák, Jiří ; Král, Petr ; Kvapilová, Marie ; Sklenička, Václav
The coarse-grained material (Al-3Mg-0.2Sc alloy) was subjected to ECAP at room temperature. Compression creep tests were conducted on both states of material at the applied stresses from 16 to 80 MPa and temperature of 473 K. The results demonstrate that the minimum creep rate of the ultrafine-grained (UFG) material is up to two order at magnitude higher than that of the unpressed coarse-grained material. A microstructural investigation of this alloy was performed using electron microscopy (TEM and EBSD). The experiments show that ECAP reduced the average grain size to ~ 300 nm and led to the higher occurrence of high-angle boundaries. It should be stressed that the application of eight ECAP passes causes a substantial decrease in the creep resistance of the alloy. Based upon the results it may be possible to suggest, that the creep behaviour of UFG alloy is influenced by grain boundary sliding accommodated by diffusion-controlled movement of intragranular mobile dislocations.
