What happens in Vegos does not stay in Vegos
Barczi, Šimon ; Lahvička, Jiří (advisor) ; Svoboda, Miroslav (referee)
The main objective of this paper is to measure and examine demand for commodities offered in the Los Vegos bar in Marianske Lazne. In my experiment, I will be randomly changing price of draught beer in range from 23 to 33 CZK for 30 consecutive days. Each day, I will observe consumption of all goods offered in the bar. I will also analyze a year-long time line with detailed consumption of every product the bar offers . I will measure the own-price elasticity of beer and the cross-price elasticities of other products. My paper will be useful for bar owners to set an optimal price and stock of the goods they offer.

How the Icreasing of the Excise Tax in the Czech Republic in the Year 2010 Influenced the State Budget
Požárek, Martin ; Potužák, Pavel (advisor) ; Chytil, Zdeněk (referee)
This bachelor thesis deals with a question how the icreasing of the excise tax in the Czech Republic in the year 2010 influenced the state budget. Using the estimations with the help of regression analysis I learn that the demand for diesel in the Czech Republic is unit elastic. But due to the increase of the excise tax was percentually higher than the percentual decrease of the refueled litres of diesel, the state budget incomes were higher due to this taxation than it would have been when the taxes were set in the preceeding rate. With the help of analysis I also learn that the cross elasticity regarding the price of diesel inneighbouring countries has the value of 0,79 and the intensity elasticity of transportation is 1,07. In the last chapter the thesis deals with alternative situations that would upcome in case of not changing the excise tax rate of the last year in the Czech Republic or possibly Slovakia and their influence to tax incomes to the state budget in the first eight months of the year 2010.

Dynamic Contact Problems with Friction in Elasticity and Thermo-Elasticity
Nedoma, Jiří
In the contribution dynamic contact problems in N-dimensional elasticity and thermo-elasticity are discussed. Such dynamic contact problems model the evolution of temperature and displacement in elastic bodies being in contacts and represent model problems of geodynamics as well as model problems of technological practice. The existence theorems will be proved.

Estimation of price elasticity of crude oil demand
Jonák, Ondřej ; Zajíček, Miroslav (advisor) ; Tříska, Dušan (referee)
Objective of this diploma thesis is estimation of price elasticity of crude oil demand. In order to calculation of such elasticity crude oil demand is estimated with econometrical methods. The choice of suitable model, which sufficiently and accurately models crude oil demand, is initial position of analysis. Consequently, crude oil demand is estimated from market data obtainable from public sources. This estimated model is verified from economic, statistic and econometric point of view. Consequently, price elasticity of crude oil demand is calculated from such model.
