The use of (nano)oxides for metal and metalloid stabilization in contaminated soils
Michálková, Zuzana ; Komárek, Michael (advisor) ; Luke, Luke (referee)
The main objective of the thesis was to evaluate the potential of selected Mn and Fe (nano)oxides for the stabilization of metals and metalloids in contaminated soils. The research was focused basically on three materials - commercial nanomaghemite (Fe III), nanomagnetite (Fe II,III) and a synthetic amorphous Mn oxide (AMO). The main aim of the work was to provide a complex view on the chosen stabilizing amendments regarding not just their direct influence on contaminants mobility and stabilization mechanisms, but also their stability and alterations in soil conditions together with influence on soil microorganisms and higher plants. Firstly, adsorption properties of the tested materials towards Cd, Cu, Pb and As were investigated. In this context, the most effective material showed to be the AMO reaching one to two orders of magnitude higher adsorption capacities than Fe III and Fe II,III under given experimental conditions. Interestingly, the rate of As(V) adsorption onto AMO was increasing with increasing pH as a result of high pHzpc of the AMO (8.1) and significant dissolution of this phase at lower pH values. As a next step, the influence of (nano)oxides on metal(loid)s mobility and other physico-chemical soil characteristics after application to contaminated soil was examined. Again, the AMO proved to be the most efficient in reducing mobile pools of Cd, Cu, Pb, Zn and As. On the other hand, Fe III and Fe II,III addition had generally less significant effects on contaminants mobility. AMO application further resulted in an increase of soil pH connected with AMO dissolution and unwanted decomposition of soil organic matter. When (nano)oxides alterations in soil conditions were observed, MnCO3 coatings were identified on AMO surface while no significant changes were recorded for Fe III and Fe II,III. As the MnCO3 formation was connected with increased AMO stability, AMO particles synthetically covered with MnCO3 coating (denoted as SM AMO) were prepared. Although the SM-AMO had a lower mass loss in soil than pure AMO, the stabilizing efficiency was almost the same for both materials. The differences in surface composition of both materials were decreasing with time as MnCO3 naturally precipitated on the AMO surface in soils while the SM AMO coating was gradually dissolving. When investigating the effect on soil microbiota, AMO efficiently promoted soil microbial activity while no significant changes were observed in the case of Fe III and Fe II,III. The AMO was also able to reduce the uptake of Cd, Pb and Zn by sunflower (Helianthus annuus L.), eliminate Zn phytotoxicity symptoms and increase biomass yield. On the other hand, toxic levels of Mn released from the AMO in an acidic soil were found in sunflower tissues. AMO application is thus recommended for contaminated neutral or slightly alkaline pH with a higher cation exchange capacity in order to avoid unwanted release of Mn. Finally, various types of AMO-biochar composite sorbents were recently prepared and field experiment focused on stabilization of Cd, Pb, Zn and As using studied materials is currently under preparation. The combined results from the thesis highlight the importance of a complex experimental approach dealing with all parts of the contaminated soil environment in order to obtain complete information about the efficiency and usefulness of any newly developed stabilizing amendment.

Business project
Hašková, Barbora ; Pilař, Ladislav (advisor)
The purpose of this work is to give guidance on creating a business project for starting companies. The work is divided into two parts. In the theoretical part defines terms related to legal forms of business, and also will explain possible sources of funding. The last chapter discusses the importance and structure of the business project, an emerging company. In the practical part I will present a business project and legal forms of business, which I chose for the business project and bring the advantages and disadvantages of selected legal form and the reason why I have this particular legal form chosen. The next step of my work will be acquainting the reader with an analysis of the company surroundings and marketing studies. The most important part of the practical part of this thesis is the financial project, which transformed with the previous section of the business project into numbers. The reception of František Gellner's work in the context of Czech history of literature
Hejlová, Tereza ; Wiendl, Jan (referee) ; Vojvodík, Josef (advisor)
The aim of the work is to summarize the Czech literary historians' ideas and opinions of the Gellner's poetry and compare them with the author's own ideas. The work is divided into two parts. The first part summarizes the main ideas of the Gellner's work. At first, he was criticized by Arne Novák and other reviewers for taboo themes in his poetry. After Gellner's disappearance at the beginning of the First World War, his friends wrote lots of articles not only about his poetry, but also about his characters and qualities. There is a big change in the understanding Gellner's work at the beginning of the 50's, when communistic ideology affected others' opinions. František Buriánek's studies are the most famous ones. He tried to explain Gellner' s ideas in the way of communistic propaganda. As far as form and structure are concemed, probably the most important study was written by Miroslav Červenka. After the communistic era there are only a few articles about the problem ofthe interpretation ofthe Gellner's poetry (Křivánek, Justl, Pohorský), that is not sufficient. ln the second part of the work, there is an attempt to interpret Gellner' s poetry in the author's own way. The author puts stress on problems in the interpretation that she finds the most relevant and important, as a distinguishing between poetry...

The Cold War - the bipolar world in the second half of the 20th century
Reproductive disorders in dogs
Szabová, Martina ; Rozinek, Jiří (advisor) ; Karlasová, Barbora (referee)
This labour is about reproductive disfunctions of dogs males and females. Prevention and early diagnostics can help to start with medical cure and finaly reinstate animal. Vaginal cytology is cheap, simple, considerate method, which helps define stage of females cycle or diagnose some patological conditions of organism. Bacterial cultivation of vagina or uterus shows natural microflora or pathogenical microorganism, who cause inflammation or sepsis. Sonography helps to find tumors, infections, mineralization or cysts. The most common tumors are males prostate tumor or females tumor of mammary glands. New studies speculated about global genetic expresion of classification tumors depends on specific examples. Pyometra is one of the most common reproduction disease of females before they reaches ten years. It is an inflammation of uterus with cumulated septic fluid inside and mostly graduaded to ovariohisteroctomy. High concetration of chemokine helps to better diagnose inflammation of organism. Brucella cannis is serious disease, which seriously harms juveniles. In that case we talk about zoonosis which harms humans as well. Common tests who help us to diagnose problems are ELISA, PCR or serology. Canis herpes is expanded around whole world and its prevalency antibodies are very different. For detection of virus is mostly used VNT test, ELISA, PCR or hemaglutination. Abnormal sexual diferentiation is mostly disorder of females reprodaction system, abnormalties of chromosomes and defects on fenotype. Abnormal chromosomes we can categorize as syndrome XXY, syndrom XO, syndrom XXX or real hermaphrodites and chimers. Individuals with defects at gonades have chromosomes XX or XY, but their sexual glands are in contradiction with chromoses. Fenotype problems at individuals mostly have same chromoses as their sexual signs, but their fenotype does not fit to their sexual glands. For example pseudohermaphrodism.

The Economic Consequences of Organized Crime
Kunt, Lukáš ; Polišenský, Miroslav (advisor) ; Pavel, Pavel (referee)
Summary This thesis deals with the significance of the threat that organized crime poses to society. The aim is to provide an overview of its present forms and economic impact. In the theoretical part, there is an outline of basic terms associated with organized crime, its traditional and new forms, the most influential organized crime groups and their history regarding the Czech Republic and the EU and institutions that fight them. The empirical part focuses on the issue of illegal drugs. Drugs smuggling and illegal drug trade are defined from the perspective of criminology. Using addictology and police statistics, the features of illegal drug market are described. Comparing various facts, the crackdown on illegal drugs in the Czech Republic and the EU is analysed, and from statistical data - applying mathematical methods - the value of illegal drug market is estimated. Economic impact of chosen forms of organized crime is described by the assessment of their share in GDP and economy in general. In the conclusion of this thesis, some measures that could reduce the social and economic impact are drawn.

Realization of farm with a focus on poultry
Hromjak, Milan ; Zita, Lukáš (advisor) ; Kovářová, Kateřina (referee)
This thesis deals with the origin of a family farm. By creating a business plan and issues connected with it, its priority is an organic poultry farm, which will produce poultry meat and eggs. Another service beyond the farm production will be creating conditions for a developing branch, which is agro-tourism and other services related to the operation of the farm, so that it leads to the economic development and profit. The farm will arise by rebuilding of an old house with a large barn and adjacent 10ha of lands inherited from grandparents. There will be built a multi-purpose building called the poultry farm from which the poultry will have access to pasture. The property includes another 1 ha of forest from which the wood will be used as a building material and firewood. The work is divided into two parts: theoretical and practical. The theoretical part especially focuses on explaining the concepts that are important to understand the business plan. Then there is the legislation concerning the organic farming, a tangle of laws, public notices and regulations that must be followed in order to meet the conditions for the organic farming. An integral motivational service of the country and the European Union for farmers and not only for those who are environmentally-managing farmers, is support and grants for the years 2014 - 2020. A very important step not only for the starting farmers is a market analysis in the given branch, as well as a SWOT analysis that will show us the positive and negative aspects of the business. The conclusion of this section deals not only with the concept of agro-tourism, but also with its market position as well and possibilities of its use and further development. In the practical part there is a description of a business plan and individual periods of the project including financing. Finances will flow from own and foreign capital, or the possibility to apply for support through non-refundable grants. The establishment of the farm will have an impact on the labor market, as there will be 5 newly created jobs and the community will fit into the wider public awareness thanks to the activities that the farm will develop for the purpose of product promotion and further development. Furthermore, there are itemized individual items that lead to the final evaluation of the effectiveness of the business plan. By processing the theoretical and practical part of the thesis the requirement of the thesis objective is met - to design a prosperous family farm focused on poultry keeping with a hypothesis if it is currently possible to be competitive while importing poultry meat and eggs from abroad. It can be concluded that the business plan is viable.

Marketing strategy
Rosenbaumová, Klára ; Kala, Štěpán (advisor) ; Pavel, Pavel (referee)
This thesis describes a suggestion of a marketing strategy for a specific joinery company when it implements a new product on the market. This product is a wooden crate. The aim of the work is to identify individual marketing strategies as well as to set a new marketing mix. The whole work is compiled in a comprehensive process that provides instructions for suggestion of strategies in a way that the company has a precondition for survival on today's market. There has been used marketing research in the practical part to find out satisfaction of customers with purchased crates, their requirements and opinions about he new product. By comparing the individual factors with competitors, there has been evaluated the company's position on the market thanks to which there have resulted possible points for improvement of company operations. Value chain analysis and 7S analysis have shown the strong and weak points which the company needs to focus on. Among other things, these analyzes have shown that the company uses an intermediary to sell the product and so loses a part of possible profits. It has further been found that the company still uses no promotion and therefore there have been proposed several low-cost forms of the product promotion. Marketing mix includes several action plans which can improve the company success on the market.
