Analysis of impact of new software distribution models on company IS/ICT management
Polanský, Ondřej ; Voříšek, Jiří (advisor) ; Vít, Miroslav (referee)
Diplomová práce se zabývá modelem distribuce aplikační funkcionality formou služeb (SaaS ? Software as a Service), transformací trhu s IT dle tohoto modelu a dopadem těchto změn do sféry řízení podnikové informatiky. Poslední kapitola je orientována praktičtěji a obsahuje zjednodušený popis metody definice IT služeb v podniku a tvorby katalogu služeb.

Contractual obligations in private international law
Haasová, Tereza ; Pauknerová, Monika (advisor) ; Růžička, Květoslav (referee)
The objective of this Master's thesis is to analyze the rules of law governing contractual obligations in private international law. First, the relevant sources of law and their concrete application are examined through descriptive and analytical method. The thesis is then focusing on two specific phenomena that have significantly influenced the development of the field in the last few decades. The first one is a gradual process of unification taking place at the legislation level. The second one is called "new lex mercatoria" and represents a non-sate source of rules governing contractual obligations with a cross-border element. Both of the phenomena are analyzed from both theoretical and practical point of view. The thesis is divided in five chapters and the analysis progresses from a general to a more specific level. The first chapter focuses on the legal definitions indispensable for a more detailed analysis provided in the following chapters. In order to better contextualize the rules governing contractual relationships in the international private law, the second chapter is dedicated to its historical evolution. Moreover, the chapter introduces and compares methods regulating contractual relationships in the international private law, while acknowledging the specific circumstances of their creation....

Analysis of role of the EU outermost regions within their country and within their development funding from EU Structural funds
Vaculík, Jan ; Pělucha, Martin (advisor) ; Kouřilová, Jana (referee)
The aim of the thesis is to identify basic characteristics related to position of the outermost regions of the member states of the EU within EU development policies. These regions are evaluated from the point of view including allocated funding within Structural Funds (SF) and European Structural and Investments Funds during the programming periods of 2000-2006, 2007-2013, and 2014-2020, content of the operational programmes, and basic economic indicators. The outermost regions shows lower values of GDP per capita than European regions of the same country while showing higher allocated funding per capita than the European regions of the same country. The outermost regions also shows constantly growing GDP per capita at least from 2000 while the SF and ESIF allocated funding for the regions decreases. These findings are predictable. Interesting finding is that while the regional GDP of the outermost regions increases investments efforts do not shift towards soft projects. The investments efforts show steadily hard project implementation activities and increasing ratio of environmental projects, which are mostly hard projects. This finding creates space for improving concept of more developed regions focusing of soft projects and less developed regions focusing on hard projects.

Analysis and evaluation of impacts on the independence due to the districts of Prague into separate villages.
Čáp, Vilém ; Peková, Jitka (advisor) ; Matula, Miloš (referee)
The aim of this work is to analyze and evaluate the impacts on the economy in the eventual independence of a size different boroughs of the City of Prague into separate villages in the years 2001-2015. This topic is very timely considering the frequent discussions on financing municipal districts of Prague. Prague is also the economic center of the Czech Republic. Part of this work is part of a proposal for legislative changes that would empower any Prague districts only allow a referendum. Finally, the comparison of the current state and the independence of the aforementioned boroughs of the capital, and in terms of income of the urban areas and in terms of financing certain obligations boroughs based on current legislation.

Monolog as an authentic confession in the context of the contemporary drama
Hýča, Martin ; ULLRICHOVÁ, Daria (advisor) ; VEDRAL, Jan (referee)
The thesis deals with the notion of monologue and monologicity as a peculiar means of expression of the modern drama. The concept of monologue is defined within the frame of its relation towards dialogue, in the context of theoretical thinking about drama and theater, and in terms of the application of these concepts in everyday life.It is based on the theoretical works by Jan Mukařovský and Jiří Veltruský. The concept of monologue as a lack of dialogicity is being challenged with understanding monologue as a haven of authenticity, a space for authentic testimony. Through the general reflection, thoughts are put in connection with modern drama and illustrated on examples from particular drama works. The thesis leads into a reasoning about the dialogue between the stage and the auditorium as a way-out from the monological situation on the stage.

Credit Constraints and Creditless Recoveries: An Unsteady State Approach
Derviz, Alexis
The paper investigates the behavior of credit demand and output arising from differences in productive capital sources in economies recovering from an adverse real shock. Beside physical capital, another form of capital – human capital – is available during the catch-up phase. Since a part of new physical capital must be debt-financed, whereas production is risky due to uncertain future total factor productivity, defaults happen with positive probability. The latter can be reduced by partially substituting physical capital for human, at a disutility cost. We ask whether a shift away from risky borrowed physical capital to human capital is able to generate a reduction in aggregate credit losses without too big a loss in output, thereby warranting a specific prudential policy. This question is addressed by means of a dynamic stochastic model with feedback decision rules, for which we develop a full-distribution numerical solution method. The long-term stationary limit distribution of the solution generalizes the steady state notion of deterministic models. Agents that start from relatively “poor” initial states are found to benefit from limits on unsecured borrowing at a very moderate cost in output terms, whereas for “rich” initial states, such limits prove to be largely redundant.

Moral Hazard of Humanitarian Intervention: Case Study Kosovo
Kodrazi, Suzan ; Lehmannová, Zuzana (advisor) ; Veselý, Zdeněk (referee) ; Pelikán, Jan (referee) ; Vávra, Přemysl (referee)
The main ambition of this doctoral thesis is to contribute to the development of interdisciplinary application of the concept of moral hazard developedin economic and insurance theory to the context of the inter-state conflicts with potential international intervention. The basic theoretical framework used in the thesis is derived from the concept of moral hazard of humanitarian intervention by Alan Kuperman who claims that the newly established norm of humanitarian intervention may well have unintended negative consequences. Kuperman argues that if the mere existence of insurance creates sufficient incentive for the insured to modify their behavior to the extent that they engage in the riskier behavior due to the fact that they are insured against the consequences of their actions, the rebels may well optimize their behavior in the same way. Currently, the transfer of the moral hazard theory to the context of interventions is hindered by a number of existing obstacles stemming from the differences in these areas. This thesis concentrates on reduction of three main identified drawbacks and addresses them by formulating three main research questions and derived hypothesis. The aim of this approach is to examine the limits of application and create the space for development of the concept of moral hazard of humanitarian intervention in the future research. (1) What is the interpretation potential, value added and limits of application of economic theory of moral hazard to the context of humanitarian intervention from the theoretical perspective? Hypothesis 1:The concept of moral hazard represents an efficienttool for evaluation of humanitarian intervention. (2) What is the potential of causal mechanism established by the Kuperman´s hypothesis to explain the reasons why in certain cases the state decides to escalate the inter-state conflict despite the public threats of intervention at a general level of research? Hypothesis 2: The threat of intervention causes the escalation of the inter-state conflict. (3) To what extent does Kuperman´s hypothesis modified to the conflict in Kosovo correspond with the actual state of affairs and their development? Hypothesis 3: The threat of intervention NATO/USA caused the escalation of conflict in Kosovo.
