Non-governmental and Non-profit Organisation's Specifications with respect to Funding and Accounting Based on the Example of Church-based Legal Entity

Diploma thesis is focused on non-governmental and non-profit organisation's specifications. It is aimed mainly on church-based legal entity, foundations and endowment funds, civil associations, public beneficial association and universities. One chapter describes financial management of above-mentioned organisations and its specificities including planning, fundraising, operational management and evaluation. Methods of establishment, creation, cancellation, cessation and management of the organisation are described from legal point of view. In one part of the thesis I have concentrated on tax allowances within income tax, Vehicle Excise Duty, immovable property tax, capital transfer tax, gift tax and real estate-transfer tax. The following chapter focuses on accounting and its differences compared to companies. The aim of the practical part is to analyze the financial management of registered legal entity, which is estabilished by church-based legal entity -The Archdiocese Caritas Prague. The analysis focuses on content and progress of costs and revenues in period 2005 -2007.

Legal protection of domains in relation to the right of indication

Legal protection of domains in relation to the right of indication The aim of this master thesis is to provide information about the relation between domain names and law, with particular attention paid to rights of indication. The reader will become acquainted with the classification of domain names within the Czech legal system, their possible conflicts with different rights, and procedures which can be used for their protection. The thesis reflects changes caused by the new conception of private law and recent judicial decisions, mainly regarding alternative dispute resolutions. In order to understand this issue, it is also necessary to be familiar with the technical aspects of domain names and the Internet, and therefore this subtopic is included in the thesis as well. The thesis consists of four topical parts. The first one, which is made up of the second and the third chapter, deals with the functioning of the Internet and IP addresses, the registration process of domain names, and their composition, management and main functions. Psychosocial and Legal Assistance to Victims of Traffic Accidents

The diploma thesis treats of momentousness of the road traffic accidents and consequences to the lives of the victims of the traffic accidents and survivors. The thesis arises from the matter of psychosocial sciences and its main aim is not only to chart the problems of road traffic accidents in the point of view of the socioeconomic consequences and injuries but also to inform and show on the serious effects of the road traffic accidents to the psychical, social and often economical life of the individual and to extend the consciousness and know-how of the general and professional public about this complicated point s at issue. In the theoretical part of the thesis the term psychosocial aid means not only the critical aid, but also the concrete following professional services which are instanced as a view in the thesis. The legal aid to the victims of the traffic accidents is specified as a survey of the claims which come from the system of social security in the Czech Republic. The presented rigorous thesis aims to analyse the structural transformation of press and the subsystem of the regional as well as local press in terms of mutual connections by means of explanatory and methodological research. The subsystem characteristics are based on the content, formal and geographical concepts; the connections with the system level are clarified. The developmental trends at the micro and macro level enable to monitor the changes of the media landscape after 1989. The transformation process is divided into phases and diversity encountered in transition countries is explained. Macro-level and micro-level factors of structural transformation are analysed in detail. The concept of the system microclimate enabled to monitor the sub-media as well as media space in the context of intermediary system. This causal link is an integral part of the transformation process, which is why the finding of a common ground between the social environment and subsystem of the regional and local press promotes the understanding of the observed characteristics and also creates its own microclimate for the new resulting concepts. Corporate Foundations in the Context of Corporate Social Responsibility

The thesis deals with Corporate Social Responsibility with an emphasis on corporate foundations. The first, theoretical part of the thesis defines Corporate Social Responsibility, discusses its history and also describes the implementation of the concept in the Czech Republic. The second part of the thesis deals with the legal definition of foundations and the history of foundations in general. A relatively new category of foundations are corporate foundations, which are analysed with the help of comparative analysis. Finally, the last part of the thesis presents case studies of five specific foundations.

Risk Management Integration and Corporate Governance

Diplomová práce zkoumá nejdřív funkci a posléze proces řízení rizik v rámci banky z hlediska zejména neoinstitucionální a behaviorální finanční teorie. Nejdřív je analyzována náplň funkce řízení rizik v kontextu maximalizace hodnoty banky. Je dokázáno, že specifický kontext bankovnictví vyžaduje zohledňování celkového rizika aktivit místo pouhé korelace se systematickým rizikem. Rovněž je třeba zohledňovat preference všech stakeholdrů banky a nejenom jejích vlastníků. Z tohoto důvodu se práce dále zaměřuje na trend směřující k integrovanému řízení rizik, který odpovídá na tyto potřeby. Analyzovány jsou zejména koncepty ekonomického kapitálu a podnikového řízení rizik (ERM). V další části práce je zkoumáno smysluplné začlenění procesu řízení rizik v rámci organizační struktury banky v kontextu konfliktních cílů maximalizace zisku a minimalizace rizika. Nesprávné propojení s ostatními bankovními procesy představuje jeden z hlavním problémů efektivního fungování řízení rizik obecně, jako i překážku při implementaci konceptu integrovaného řízení rizik v bankovní praxi. Je ukázáno, že funkce řízení musí mít na jedné straně dosah na strategické řízení banky, na druhé straně musí být transcendentní přes celou strukturu banky. Tyto shledání jsou konfrontovány s bankovní praxí v rámci případové studie.
