Multiple Criteria Decision Making of Stocks Traded in Terms of SPAD

The subject of the diploma paper is multiple criteria analysis of stocks traded on Prague Stock Exchange in terms of System for Support of the Share and Bond Markets. The first part of theoretical passage discusses an introduction of exchange markets with an emphasis on Czech surrounding. The next extensive segment enters on decision making theory. In this chapter we can study basic ideas and connections in multiple criteria decision making. The most comprehensive section is created by theoretical study of methods in multiple criteria decision making. The last partition deals with share's analysis which is based on an application of suitable methodical approaches developed theoretically more closely in previous parts of the diploma paper. The main goal of the paper represents a release of investment recommendation for a potential investor decided to insert his free financial means into some of the most liquid stocks on Prague Stock Exchange.
Stock Market in the Czech Republic

This work focuses on the Czech stock market. Work is focused on the application of the theory of efficient markets, which is one of the theories explaining the evolution of prices of securities, the stock market in the Czech Republic from 2000 to 2008. Efficient market theory represents a random walk, which is used as a tool to describe the phenomenon where the future price changes are random divergence from past prices. The thesis is divided into several parts. The first part presents an actual stock market in the Czech Republic. Because most of the work deals with the analysis yields the PX stock index was that in the next section in detail described and analyzed. Furthermore, the Czech stock market has been analyzed in terms of structure and trading volume. The next section has described the theory of efficient markets. Was described briefly the history of this theory. Another part of this work can be described as a purely practical. First, the work focuses on the market in the one year time series of returns. In second part were analyzed medium-long term consisting of three year time series of returns. The last analyzed period was long term, consisting of eight-year time series of returns from 2000 to 2008.
Comparision of spot and option market developement during a financial crisis

This graduation thesis analyses the spot and forward markets; the focus is on stock and stock-call options for two German companies -- Deutsche Bank and Commerzbank. Price movement and evaluation/devaluation for the financial instrument are measured over a specific period of time. The closing chapter compares both markets using three criteria -- leverage effect, analysis of volume and traded contracts, and how volatility affects the call option price.
Evaluation of success chosen methods fundamental analysis in time

The principal aim of this thesis is to characterize and test several method of fundamental analysis in time. The introductory part deals with principle of other approaches to stock analysis (technical analysis, psychological analysis, efficient markets theory). The following part is focused on fundamental analysis. Here are discussed the main factors that have impact on stock at the global level, sectoral level and at the level of the firm. Last part deals with determination of the intrinsic value of the stock with use of chosen models. These models are subsequently tested in time and rated.
Stock Price Bubbles

Economic bubbles are playing an increasingly significant role in the current global economy. We believe these bubbles are to a certain extent dominating the real economy, and, therefore, research based on this specific economic phenomenon is becoming increasingly popular and important. The focus of this master's thesis is based upon analysis of stock price bubbles. This thesis contains author analyzed historical cases representative of stock price bubbles; summarizations of their traditional features; common factors causing their formation; and reasons leading to their bursting. Solutions to the dilemma of stock price bubbles are discussed in depth, and emphasis is placed upon clearly deciphering different theoretical approaches regarding this phenomenon-not only from the efficient market hypothesis viewpoint but also from the perspective of behavioral finance. The research contains testing and measuring methodologies of stock price bubbles, and the author's view concerning them is strongly supported by the results within the empirical data-testing chapter. Upon reading, one can expect to achieve a basic overview of this forefront science.
Reporting and measurement of securities according to Czech GAAP in comparison with IFRS

My thesis is concentrated on methods of reporting and measurement of securities. Content of the beginning are general features and definitions of securities. The main part contains description of methods used by Czech GAAP and IFRS. Comparison of these systems in the area of securities is mentioned at the end.

The aim of the Bachelor thesis is to clarify which investment attributes are important to retail investor during his process of choosing brokerage provider. Theoretical part of the thesis introduces brief history of investing, primarly shares investing, and also tries to clarify motivation factors of people who decide to invest. Practical part compares current situation of online brokerage houses in Czech Republic, then it deals with defining model investors based on outcome of research done by brokerjet České spořitelny, a.s. on its customer base.

The Accounting of Securities

The aim of this text is to describe questions of securities in the Czech republic. Characteristics of individual kinds of the securities and their dividing are mentioned here. My attention is mainly addressed to stocks, obligations, bills of exchange and cheques. Farther I am engaged in accounting of the securities and their evaluation to balancing day. There are specific accounting examples of particular securities in the end. Also I talk about financial crisis and its impact on the securities.
