Pelčák, Vlastimil ; Ležatka,, Lukáš (referee) ; Pavlovský, Tomáš (advisor) ; Kacálek, Petr (advisor)
This bachelor’s thesis is created on the basics of an architectural study designed by me in the third year of the bachelor’s degree studies. The thesis elaborates this architectural study into the following degrees of the project documentation. The topic of this work is a design of Multifunctional building Mlynska in Brno. The work reacts on the current change of the city district Trnita in which the estate for the design of the building is located. Gradual revitalization of the whole city district is supposed. The main structure of the multifunctional building and few other auxiliary buildings are located on the estate. The multifunctional house is of a cubic form with a regular placement of windows. The building has two below ground and fourteen above ground storeys. Its height is a reaction on the new and newly emerging building in a nearby surrounding. Due to a higher number of storeys it is moved further from the borderline of street. Both below ground storeys are of technical character. In the first below ground storey is designed a café, shop and an entrance for residents. In the second and third storeys are offices. From fourth to thirteenth storeys are located flats of various dispositions – together there is 28 housing units. The last storey serves for all of the residents – there is a rooftop terrace, a common room and necessary facilities. From the constructional point, the house is arranged as a combination of a monolithic reinforced concrete vertical parts and prefabricated horizontal panels. Perimeter is surrounded by a frame into which are inserted windows. Centre of the building comprises of stiffened core of vertical link. The building is designed as a modern premium living in a minimalistic, functional and aesthetic design.

The objective of this Bachelor Thesis is the design of the Sekt Jan Petrak winery in Kobylí. The Bachelor Thesis expands and specifies an architectural study which was drafted as AG33 subject during the summer semester of the second year (i.e.up to the level of Documentation for Planning Permission and Documentation for Execution of the Project). The considered area lies in the territory of Kobylí and with its slightly rolling landscape is used for agricultural purposes. The building ploat is located down the surrounding buildings. The aim of the bachelor thesis was creating the project of building that will serve its users for quality accomodation for investor and long-term residence for guests as well as for production, presentation and tasting of sparkling wine. Designed object consists of three parts: sale and presentation of sparkling wine, housing for owners and visitors, production. And the main goal was to connect all of the functions so they can complement each other. The Object presents three masses – two main and one subsidiary, which are distinguished by the shape of te roof and the structure of the fasade. The nearest to the access road is a building of a family house, which consists of a publicly accessible two-storey winery, which connects to two large apartments for visitors, and private part - investor apartments. The investor's apartment is illuminated from two sides - southwest and northwest. The living room has a large window opening, which provides beautiful views of the private outdoor terrace and area green. The attic of the family house is designed for accommodation of visitors and tasting of sparkling wine. Through the passage public communication is linked with the production of sparkling wine.
The Multifunctional building Hlinky
Jarmerová, Eliška ; Erben, Adam (referee) ; Pavlovský, Tomáš (advisor) ; Sedláková, Markéta (advisor)
This bachelor thesis presents a design of a multifunctional buiding in Brno – Pisárky. The building should be located in a gap site in the street Hlinky. The plot is situated at the foothill of Žlutý kopec near the premises of Brno Exhibition Centre. The southern part of the plot includes the area of terraced houses. The street is 215m above sea level. This project designs a completion of the street housing development with a fitting construction of a convenient size and type of façade. The project takes into account a non-existing and formerly pulled-down 19th-century object of value concerned by heritage conservation. The former building was significant for its indentation in the line of the adjacent buildings. In the design I try to point out at this element applied for the whole height of the building. The building facade division follows the elements applied for the other objects in the surroundings of the lot. Based on the former analysis, the design utilizes a high potential of the place which had not been met before, mainly its easy centre and transport accessibility, south-facing slope, high density of population in the area of the exhibition centre as well as as university hostels. This multifunctional building is designed to function in three ways – as an office, a living place and a shop with a buffet providing cooked meals. The design preserves and recultivates a garden which will function as an orchard with furniture. The first floor of the object is designed as a reinforced concrete frame which is filled with a wall of cut vertically perforated brick blocks with mineral wool insulation and completed with ventilated façade made of facing bricks. The building has six aboveground floors and one underground floor. The height of the designed building overtops the neighbouring buildings, which is hidden due to the division of the building facade into smaller areas whose function is to achieve better setting of the mass of the building into the frontage.

The core focus of this project is the solution of the land planning in the area of Tomkovo náměstí in Brno near the Velký městský okruh. It deals with the impact of the circuit’s dual carriageway on the surrounding environment and offers how to integrate this transport structure into the newly built area as well as into the original urban area. The solution includes a composition of objects designed either in a form of permanent living space or a hostel, all with the addition of an outside marketplace.

The project deals with the impact of the completion of outer city bypass road on Tomek Square. It does not contradict the construction of the bridge itself, but seeks to coexist with it without obeying the whole area. There is a pedestrian circuit designed to emphasize the connection between Tomek Square and the surrounding area as an alternative. The focus of the design is the construction of a multifunctional building with housing. Architecturally, the proposed residential buildings are based on two principles - open and closed. Complementing the mass of a residential building with existing buildings, defining the patency of the area with a new linear object and emphasizing the composition of mature greenery brings comfort and new use of public spaces even in the immediate vicinity of the new traffic structure.

At present times, there are not many unutilized building sites near the city center, therefore it is necessary for the city to seek out such sites and prove their possible use. The bachelor thesis deals with such "unused" site in the area defined by three streets - from the north by Milady Horákové street, from the south by Francouzká street and from the east by Černopolní street. Each of these streets has a different character, the most different is Milady Horákové Street, which, despite its current form, has the potential and parameters to be an boulevard. The architectural design itself deals with the plot on the corner of Francouzská and Milady Horákové streets, and thus it follows the analytical part which came up with a suitable strategy for the development of this site by proposing a master plan.
