Aerodynamic characteristics of airfoils

This bachelor´s thesis describes an influence of geometric characteristics of an airfoil on its aerodynamic properties. The first part of the thesis defines airfoil, describes its geometric characteristics, emergence of aerodynamic forces and convection around airfoil. The second part deals with influence of profile geometry on aerodynamic properties of airfoils. It is shown on NACA four and six digit profiles, in their buoyancy and moment lines and polars. The last part deals with wind tunnels and measurement in them. The thesis focuses on forces and moments measurement by force balances and static and total pressure measurement. Velocity measurement is focused on the laser Doppler velocimetry, on the hot-wire velocity probe and PIV method. Very briefly selected flow visualization methods are shown there. Comparison of profile characteristic obtained by measuring in wind tunnels and numerical simulation in Xfoil program is also shown there.

Integration of XFOIL software in MATLAB environment

Thesis is concerned with program which is able to run and control XFOIL from MATLAB environment. This program is focused on bulk data processing and plotting of XFOIL results. Thesis is also concerned with brief description of XFOIL and MATLAB, description of profile characteristics and comparison numbers used in calculation by XFOIL.

Sports building in Bystřice pod Hostýnem

The aim of this bachelor´s thesis is to design and statically examine a bearing structure of sports building in Bystřice pod Hostýnem. The core bearing structure with ground area measuring 28 x 43,4 m consists of steel frames from rolled sections. Scia Engineer 2010 software has been used to create a three-dimensional model for the purpose of dimensioning each member and global analysis. Results obtained from the computer analysis were double-checked with a hand calculation of a few subelements

Psychological profile of manager

The aim of my thesis is to determine the psychological profile of the manager's personality and its properties and suggest the possibility of professional development. The theoretical part describes the characteristics of the personality, the personality of a manager and the demands placed on him. The practical part includes a selection of six executives from one company, description of requirements on them during the selection process, properties, placed on them by society and the content of their work. Then build scale in which managers are evaluated subjectively. The conclusion is the summary of the executives and analysis features, which do not have very managers. Designed and engineered to further improve their personality profile.

Drawing concept of figure in motion by children in primary school

The diploma thesis deals with development of lower elementary school children human figure in motion drawing. The theoretical part of the thesis aims to summarize findings of developmental psychology, it especially describes development of younger school age children during particular stages of development, and further it provides information about child?s artistic expression and its development stages. The practical part of the thesis shows research results of human figure drawings of children from the 1st to the 5th grade. Furthermore, child?s ability to capture the figure in motion is observed and development of this capture is compared. Results were assessed according to criteria determined in advance, and subsequently analyzed.

This work deals with the profile measurements of soil and methods to measure the soil profile. Further, there are the methods by which it would be possible to measure the soil profile and their assessments due to field conditions by measuring the soil profile occur.
