Analysis of structures with seismic loads in different program systems

This bachelor thesis compares the response of structures with seismic loads in programs AxisVM and RFEM. Simplified method using lateral forces is used for the calculation. The calculations performed by above mentioned programs are also verified by manual calculation in the case of simple examples. Consecutively the displacements of individual nodes of the structure are compared.
Analysis of the Automotive Industry with Specialization in the Japanese Manufacturers

The Japanese economy belongs to the largest economies in the world. Therefore there are many multinational corporations which originally come from this country. The segment of automotive industry is no exception. Nowadays there are four Japanese automobile manufacturers that rank among the top ten in terms of amount of production. This bachelor thesis is focused on evaluating the situation of the Japanese car industry. Another aim is to analyse consequences of the global economic crisis and the Tohoku earthquake and tsunami waves that struck the Japanese shore in 2011. The opening chapter includes the introduction of all important Japanese manufacturers of vehicles.and the importance of car production for the Japanese economy. Other parts should analyse in what condition the Japanese manufacturers are.
Impacts of 2011 Tohoku Earthquake on global insurance markets

This thesis examines the problem of impact of catastrophical natural events on insurance and reinsurance markets, with special focus on 2011 Tohoku Earthquake. It aims on evaluating consequences of extensive economical losses on global insurance market. First part of the thesis describes the event and its implications. Damage to transport infrastructure and energetics is analyzed. Effects of the disaster on individual segments of Japans economy and macroeconomical situation of the country are examnied. Characteristic traits and specifics of insurance market in Japan are mentioned. Main part of the work is dedicated to determinig of impacts of the disaster on two world 's leading reinsurers. Final part discusses general effects of disaster-ridden year 2011 on reinsurance markets.
Japan's position in international relations: identification and analysis of determinants

This paper focuses on analyzing some of the many factors that determine the position of Japan in international relations. It firstly establishes a base in the current position of Japan analyzed from various points of view to ensure its objectivity. It is necessary not only to look at political issues, but also economic, security or other ones. There are also several levels of analysis used -- first concentrates on international multilateral position, second on position among states and bilateral relations. And last, but not least, takes into account internal conditions of Japan itself. The two determinants analyzed in this paper -- 03/2011 earthquake and fiscal situation -- are also examined by multiple approaches. The aim is to analyze and present the impact of these factors on the role of Japan in international relations and the risks and opportunities they bring in context of current position. Resources include analysis of economic data and projections, statements, policies and up-to-date articles concerning this topic.
The impacts of natural disasters on japanese economy

Japan ranks among the most developed countries in the world, nevertheless it neither can prevent frequent natural disasters nor their consequences. Although the government strives to minimise damage caused, those tragic events influence functioning of the state and its economic performance. The aim of the Bachelor thesis is to find out, to what extent the natural disasters influence Japan and analyse the impacts, which they could have on the economy. The first Chapter encompasses general information, which shows the basics of natural disasters. The second Chapter focuses on Japan, in particular on geographic conditions of the country, alert systems and deals also with comparison of two major earthquakes Kobe and Tohoku.
Current stage of Chilean economy

The target of my bachelor thesis is the total analysis of Chilean economy at 2010. After reading of the text anybody should be able to imagine the macroeconomic climate in Chile. The text of the work is devided in four chapters - the first one reports about the general information of territory and of Chilean history, the second one dedicates to the structure of Chilean economy and closer to the theme of mining, the third one engages in international trade with special target to bilateral relationship agreements, the fourth one is about economic challenges in the form of reconstruction after the earthquake and integration processes in Latin America.
Indirect stress measurement by static vertical pendulum

Static pendulums were used for indirect stress measurement in Bohemian Massif. The anomalous tilt and/or noise were recognised before the biggest earthquakes on the Euroasian lithospheric plate. The Kurile EQ (24.11.2008) was predicted a day advance.
Modeling of seismic source as a real testing problem for nonlinear inverse algorithm

Modeling of seismic source in approximation of second order seismic moment tensor appeared to be a good testing problem for developed nonlinear inverse algorithm ANNIT. In the article we briefly described the problem and present results of inversion of a synthetic data.
Magnitude 3.3 Hronov earthquake on October 25, 2005

The Hronov region was hit by a moderate size earthquake of magnitude 3.3 on October 25, 2005. The depth of the hypocenter was estimated to 5 km. The shaking was felt by many people in 31 towns and villages in the region and caused minor damage on several buildings close to the epicenter.
