Application of Balanced Scorecard in a manufacturing company

The thesis Application of Balanced Scorecard in a manufacturing company is focused on creation of mission, vision, strategy and the strategic management system Balanced Scorecard for the company Abydos s.r.o. In the theoretical part is described the creation of strategic analysis and defined the Balanced Scorecard method. At the beginning of the practical part is introduced the company Abydos s.r.o. Next part deals with the strategic analysis and identifies strengths and weaknesses of the company and its potential opportunities and threats. Based on the strategic analysis is designed the mission and the vision of the company, follows the strategy formulation and definition of strategic objectives in four perspectives. For each strategic objective are identified measures and strategic actions. At the end of the practical part is created a strategic map, which is a key tool for the strategic management method Balanced Scorecard.

This thesis is focused on strategic management. The main goal of the thesis is setting up the Balanced Scorecard method on company KRÁLOVOPOLSKÁ RIA, a.s. This work is devided into two parts. First part contains theoretical framework that is used in the second part focused on practical aplication of theoretical methods. First step of practical part is strategic analysis that brings information about strategic position of KRÁLOVOPOLSKÁ RIA. Next step of practical part is evaluation of company's current strategy. Main part of this thesis is setting up strategic management system using the Balanced Scorecard method. Final outpu of this thesis is strategic map that represents all stratagic golas set up in the Balanced Scorecard framework.

The Master's thesis "Application of an Integrated Model of Management and Design of Balanced Scorecard in the Organization" focusing on the definition of internal management analysis with target to evaluate the economic success of the company TOPAZ s.r.o. with using of Balanced Scorecard method. The analyzed entity operates in the glass industry and is engaged in the production of luxury domestic glass. Thesis is devided on three parts. First theoretical part defines the current company problems and the potentials for the solving of. The second part - practical, uses an genuine integrated model of management together with Balanced Scorecard method as a tool for definition, continous measurement and performance monitoring of company growth. The results and outputs from should brings the real feed-back to the company with target to prepare strategic map and benchmark for the right strategic company objectives and goals definition. As a key point for performance measurement system was set up Economic Value Added (EVA) indicator. Third part includes conclusion and complete evaluation of the thesis from the view of value added positives reached on.
Implementation of pilot solution of Business Intelligence in business company

Main objective of the theses is pilot solution for implementations of Business Intelligence in to the Business company. The company is selling gastronomic appliances and realizes complete functioning of public alimentation , including services. The theses is devided in two parts. First part is theoretical summary of methods Balanced Scorecard and Business Intelligence. Theoretical part includes the chapter which explain operation and possibilities of Business Intelligent in small companies. The second part is practical solution, where is in the beginning introduction of the company. In the following chapters the main objective is to establish the key indicators in chosen company by using method of strategic operation of Balanced Scorecard. Next is to create strategic map, which make model for company behavior and model for usage of outputs in the course of real implementation of Business Intelligence.

This Master's Thesis shows the process of formulating and implementing the corporate strategy with the use of the Balanced Scorecard method. The theoretical part defines small and medium enterprises, explains the basic concepts and procedures of strategic analysis and creation of the Balanced Scorecard. The practical part deals with the strategic analysis of a particular small company, based on which the strategic business objectives for individual perspectives are then defined (financial, customer, internal business processes and perspectives of learning and growth) and proposes appropriate standards for the corporate objectives. The thesis ends with the processing of the company's strategic map, which clearly shows the consistency and causality of the individual strategic objectives.

The thesis is focused on strategic planning and management system Balanced Scorecard and its application in spa Léčebné Lázně Bohdaneč. In theoretical part is introduced the theoretical basis for application of this method including the basics for strategic analysis. The practical part is devoted to strategic analysis at the beginning. SWOT analysis identifies the strengths and weaknesses of the company and potential opportunities and threats. Thereafter the strategy of the company is defined, follows determination of strategic goals in four perspectives (financial, customer, internal and innovation and learning perspective), choice of key performance indicators and strategic actions. In the final of the thesis is created strategic map, that is key tool of strategic management based on Balanced Scorecard method.

The thesis deals with Balanced Scorecard (BSC) method from the related theoretical and practical point of view. Starting point of the thesis focuses on the content of Balanced Scorecard that is expressed by the analysis of the two key functions of BSC -- BSC as a measurement system and BSC as a strategic management system. The content analysis of BSC is accompanied by the description of the suitable techniques that can be used in the process of creating BSC. On the basis of gained information of the content aspects and the suitable techniques is created proposal of BSC system for real Train Engineer a.s. Corporation.
Aplikace Balanced Scorecard na TJ Auto Škoda Mladá Boleslav

Práce je zaměřena na praktickou aplikaci metody strategického řízení zvané Balanced Scorecard. Nejprve proniká do struktury a fungování neziskového občanského sdružení TJ Auto Škoda. Následně stanovuje SWOT analýzu pro toto sdružení, tedy identifikuje základní silné a slabé stránky, příležitosti a hrozby. To je východiskem pro vytvoření strategických cílů, jejich měřítek a hybatelů. V samém závěru dochází k vytvoření strategické mapy, která je klíčem pro strategické řízení TJ Auto Škoda v následujících několika letech.

Diplomová práce se zabývá aplikací Balanced Scorecard (BSC)ve společnosti Řetězárna a.s. Balanced Scorecard je klíčový manažerský systém, který převádí firemní poslání a strategie do uceleného souboru měřítek výkonnosti. Nejprve byla provedena analýza finanční výkonnosti podniku, banchmarkingové srovnání a dále také strategická analýza podniku. Stěžejní část diplomové práce tvoří již samotná implementace BSC. Ta spočívá v přiřazení podnikových strategických cílů a jejich ukazatelů úspěšnosti k jednotlivým perspektivám BSC. Provázanost a kauzalitu podnikových strategických cílů přehledně zobrazuje strategická mapa. Dalším výstupem diplomové práce je podpůrný nástroj v programu MS Excel, který obsahuje data pro hodnocení úspěšnosti jednotlivých firemních strategických výpovědí a procesů.
Implementation of Business Intelligence in ČON s.r.o. company

This dissertation thesis deals with the topic of Business Intelligence and Balanced Scorecard and its use in České odborné nakladatelství, s.r.o., a relatively small company of 29 employees, which publishes magazines about business, gastronomy, textile, foods, hotels etc. The first part of my thesis describes the BI and BSC theoretically and offers a methodical basis for the following chapters. It gives the reader a definition and structure of BI, with access to a Data Warehouse including the fundamentals of building an OLAP database. It furthermore explains what BSC is, which perspectives use and what a strategic map is. The theoretical chapters of my paper will draw conclusions about the use of BI and BSC and the links between them. The practical, hands-on, chapters continue with the actual application of BI and BSC in the afore-mentioned ČON, s.r.o. It describes the goals and ambitions of the company, which are further on divided into individual strategic goals and metrics, fragmented into perspectives of the BSC and portrayed in a strategic map. Upon analyzing the demands of the company a BI framework is created, data sources are identified, Data Warehouse are designed and brought into effect. In the end a multidimensional OLAP cube is created with MS SQL Server 2008. Finally, there is a MS Excel 2007 explanation and interpretation of the measured values (reporting), which is taken from the available sources of ČON, s.r.o. and is compared against the set strategic goals and metrics of the company. The results of this thesis are based on actual demands of the company and are ready to be implemented and used in real-life.
