Syndrome CAN - expressed behaviour of physically abused children

This thesis is discussing manners of behaviour of children exposed to physical abuse. Theoretical part deals with characterization of syndrome CAN and its forms, causes and risk factors of physical abuse development in family and possible psychological manifestations of effects on child. The goal of empirical part was to perceive strong markers of behavior of physically abused children according to age and gender. Through method of content analysis of complete documentation of 25 physical abused children placed in diagnostic institution, acts of behaviour, personal characteristics, peer relations, relationsip to adults, parents and themselves were explored.


Photography in the magazine Mladý svět 1959-1989

The paper deals with the treatment of photography in a Czechoslovakian magazine Mladý svět. It analyses the period since its origin in 1959 till the end of 1989. It focuses primarily on photo reporters Leoš Neboř, Miroslav Hucek and Miroslav Zajíc, who played a decisive role in the visual image of the magazine. The paper examines picture material (reportages, front pages) using the content image analysis. Its aim is to show the particularity of its work with photography, by which Mladý svět was distinguished from the majority of periodicals at that time. The quality of pictures and the space granted to them in the magazine is described by concrete examples from the whole analysed period. The paper presents the themes and methods of their visual representation as well as some major authors which helped Mladý svět win fame during the period.

Czechoslovak Currency and its Creative Content

This paper surveys the history of Czechoslovak monetary policy from its formation till the year 1993 when the currency Koruna československá (Kčs) was ceased. It outlines the first Czechoslovak banking within the Austria-Hungary, the rise of independent Czechoslovak banking system after 1918 and the 1919 monetary reform, monetary policy of the following years of freestanding republic till the years of German occupation and 2nd World War. Next there is also a chapter about the postwar monetary reform and monetary policy during the people's democratic period till 1948. Further this paper involves monetary policy development under the direction of Communist Party of Czechoslovakia (KSČ), also the 1953 currency reform, fruitless attempts to reform the system and the consequent return to the original condition after 1968. Last chapter deals with the monetary policy after 1989 till the separation of Czechoslovakia and extinction of Kčs in 1993. Together with each chapter there is a rubric describing creative contents of then paper currency and bank notes, their comprehension and propagandistic context.

The use of Informed consent on the intensive care unit

The author talks in this assignment about inform consent used in acute cardiology. Firstly the explanation is used to show the main differences between the information given out to patients prior and after taking Convention for Protection of Human Rights and dignity of the Human Being with regard to the Aplication of Biology and Medicine. Then it points out the reasons behind why the informed consent was needed, its forms and related legalization. After that the theoretical and practical problems in use of this consent are discussed. The methods used in the practical part are quantitative and qualitative such as questionnaires, patients' interviews on intensive units and cardiac ward and content analysis. The outcome from the information obtained is that the consent is not used correctly in practice. Also those patients expect the consultant to make the decision for them and they do not understand the significance of informed consent. Written consent does not match the expectation with regulation vyhláška č. 64/2007 Sb., o zdravotnické dokumentaci at all. Also they are too long, contains terminology which are not used by patients which leads to a misunderstanding. On the basis of these findings the reviews and recommendations are suggested.

Taking advantage of public transport for marketing purposes

The aim of this diploma thesis is to guide a reader through a process of a creation of a business plan, its structure and content and above that it probes the practicability and profitability of a concrete business plan, which is focused on one of the possibilities how to effectively utilize a potential in a public transport for the marketing purposes. The main idea of this business plan arises from a conviction that existing ordinary advertising mediums in the public transport are not as attractive as they used to be few years ago and so the writer developed a business plan that utilize this scarcity and assume an establishment of a company named MetroVision which will come with a brand new and attractive product. This company is described in this plan in detail, including its financial plan for first five years.

Cost analysis based on cost drivers, cost classification and cost allocation

Diploma thesis aims at cost drivers, cost classification and cost allocation. These issues are described with respect to traditional and modern approach and their comparison. In the thesis selected methods of cost estimation and modern methods of cost management are introduced as well. Following the theoretical part, application part focuses on cost analysis in particular company in order to find out cost drivers, to follow-up of cost management system and to give some suggestions, how to improve this area. The application part is not published because of content of restricted data.

The impact of territorial disputes of Japan on its position within the region of East Asia

This paper deals with causes and implications of territorial disputes between Japan and its neighbouring countries, i.e. People Republic of China, Chinese Republic on Taiwan, Republic of Korea and Russian federation. It outlines historical ground for Japanese position in the region of East Asia, historical origins of the territorial disputes as well as contemporary situation among the parties concerned. The author reveals the economical, political and strategical importance of the contentions and focuses on resulting reasons of (un)solvability of the disputes and its impact on the region and mutual cooperation of participants mentioned above. The role of the territorial disputes is also judged from the perspectives of development of the position of Japan in East Asia and ensuing impact on its politics towards its neighbours. As a conclusion the paper brings enumeration of so far executed solutions to the conflicts as well as several other resources to solve the disputes in order to maintain peace and stability in the area of East Asia. Press that serves the public? Survey of journals published by Prague's municipalities

This master thesis deals with the phenomenon of journals published by local municipalities, defined in a recent amendment to the Press Act in the legal order of the Czech Republic as "journals of territorial administrative units". According to the press law the purpose of these journals is to deliver information about the self- governing unit while providing adequate space for presenting opinions and views of all ideological spectrum of the local council. These journals were recently criticized for being abused by the ruling political representation and being misused as a form of political PR rather than an independent news platform. My research is focused on their gradual professionalization that was recently encouraged by the changes in the Czech law. The research is based on a survey of editors of these journals. In the survey I investigated the background of the content production of these journals, various aspects of their organization, details about staff editors and their reflection on the topic, as well as control mechanisms that are set to ensure the statutory requirements of objectivity and impartiality. Current questions of the Czech Republic's preparation for the entry to the Eurozone

The present work deals with problems of the euro acceptance as a single currency in the economic conditions of the Czech Republic. In the first chapter the history and development of currency systems anticipating the European Monetary Union is outlined with the focus on Western Europe. The second chapter characterises the European Economic and Monetary Union and describes the particular phases of its origin. In the third chapter it is analysed which of the 5 Maastricht criteria the Czech Republic fulfils. The fourth chapter evaluates the level of convergence between the Czech Republic and the Eurozone in the economic areas. This includes also technical, legislative and institutional aspects. The final part analyses the entire process of the euro implementation including scenario, principles and schedule of the successive steps. The advantages and disadvantages of this process are discussed and the present economic and political situation in Europe and the Czech Republic concerning the euro is evaluated.
