The chosen instruments of recruiting and selection of the candidates in the present day

In this diploma thesis I describe the instruments of recruiting and selection of the candidates which include the classic format of the curriculum vitae and also social networks like LinkedIn and Facebook The thesis is divided into theoretical part, which is based on books and other online sources, where you can find the definitions of personnel work and management, but also the definition of a worker his working performance and his motivation. The important part explains different ways of recruiting the candidates and the description of instruments which are used, especially the CV and social networks. Analytical part is based on the questionnaire research about the structure and content of the CV according to the point of view of the recruiters. The second part is based in the interviews with recruiters about the usage of the social networks. In the conclusion, there is a summary of the results from the analytical part.
Reception of the work of Karl May in Bohemia during the twentieth century

This bachelor thesis deals with the German writer Karl May. This year, 170 years have passed since his birth and 100 years have passed since his death. The thesis gives out a comprehensive May´s biography which aims at the first half of writer's life. The second part of the thesis deals with the relationship of Karl May to the Czech environment, both to Bohemia, where Karl May spent several weeks of his life on various visits, and to the Czechs themselves, especially to his Czech publisher Josef Richard Vilímek junior. In the third and final part of the thesis several Czech admirers of Karl May reveals why the German writer became their lifelong hobby.
Economist Milan Zelený

The aim of this thesis is an introduction of the personality of Milan Zeleny. Zeleny has international scientific credentials, but in the Czech Republic there he is not known yet, surprisingly adequate to his fame abroad. This work may be served as a guide for those interested in studying economics, because Milan Zeleny has a very interesting position in this science. Conceiving of bibliographic and professional profile of this economist is the next part of this work. Here it is also elaborated his biography, his publications and his opinions (economic as well as general). Several important economic concepts that are closely related with his personality are compiled here too. The thesis is based on the study of literature in the Czech language. Partly it was used literature that deals with the issue. I also used the Internet sources, especially to introduce the personality of Milan Zeleny and to get secondary sources. These secondary sources were mostly available in English only. It´s definitely caused by the fact that Zeleny lives and works abroad. I used also internet archives of economic journals to get information. Milan Zeleny´s publications were the most important source for this thesis.
Admissions in the ICT sector

The thesis focuses on the issues of job interviews for ICT positions and related aspects of this matter. It includes the set of procedures that serve as an assistant for a graduate who will apply for a job in this field. The main objective of this thesis is to determine the process and requirements for admission for the positions in ICT companies in the Czech Republic. The theoretical part focuses on the individual components of the process that leads to employment. The curriculum vitae, cover letter, preparation for a job interview, the interview itself, assessment center and internet portals that are used for finding work or employees are also included. The practical part is mainly devoted to the questionnaire which I sent to companies in our country. Its evaluation is illustrated with graphs and tables. I consulted the results with human resources specialist, who gave me more detailed information on the individual issues. The thesis is concluded in chapter which summarizes the requirements for IT roles and positions. The benefit of this work is summarized overview that can help graduates to find some job. This is a set of requirements, which may be required for interviews in Czech companies.
Life of Bishop Antonín Liška České Budějovice

The paper deals with the life and work of Antonín Liška, 11th bishop of České Budějovice. It begins with his birth in Bohumilice, describes his family background, studies and preparation for the vocation of priest, his entrance in the Congregation ofthe Most Holy Redeemer. It further describes the assault on and violent dissolution of male religious orders in Czechoslovakia, Antonín?s work with the Auxiliary Technical Troops, his secret ordination and civil occupation. It further deals with the year 1968 and its significance in the life of Antonín Liška, his activity in Poříčí nad Sázavou, his work at the Archbishopric of Prague and his ordination to bishop. A major part of the work focuses on the activity of the Father bishop in the diocese of České Budějovice. The last chapter provides a characteristic of Antonín Liška?s personality.
ANTONÍN MARKUS - BIOGRAPHICAL STUDIES

Antonín Markus (1886 {--} 1968) is a very important historian and archivist in history of the State regional archive in Třeboň as well as in the history of the Czech archival science in general. Native of Wien, who spent most of his life in south Bohemian Třeboň, was graduated from studies of history and auxiliary historical sciences at the Philosophical faculty of the Charles - Ferdinands University in Prague in 1910. He was a student of important Czech historians Jaroslav Goll, Josef Pekař and Josef Šusta. He passed the state archive exam it the prestigious "Institut für Österreichische Geschichtsforschung" in 1911. Markus entered the service of prince Schwarzenberg´s archive in 1910 thanks to Goll´s and Šusta´s recommendation. He was nominated as the head archivist in 1925 and became it´s cheif. He had worked in the Třeboň archive till his enforced retirement in 1945. First time he drew attention to himself was document separation with Austria after 1918. He also played an important role by the contraction of so called Archive agreement in 1936. He was an important Czech genealogist, popularizer of genealogy and a founder of the Genealogy society (1929). Markus´ rich publication activities deal mostly with archival science, genealogy and monument preservation. The presented bachelor work is grounded on studies of personal archive files. Markus´ correspondence and sketchy written recollections are the most important sources of my research. The text of my bachelor work is divided into three parts. The opening part brings a list of used archive funds and a short discourse on the used literature. The second and also the most extensive part, which is further structured into single chapters, deals with Markus´ private and professional life in details. A short chapter in the final part explains Markus´ appearance, his characteristic features, attitude etc. The general evaluation of Markus´ life and work is presented too.
Job Applicant`s Self-Presentation in Written Form Before an Interview

The graduation thesis deals with the function of a CV in the process of finding an employment, particularly in the period before a face-to-face job interview. The subject matter is observed from the point of view of the employer and of the job applicant as well. In the theoretical part, the crucial terms are explicated and the preparations before the appointment are described. The practical part of the thesis confronts and observes theoretical information taken from a sample that consisted of sixty real CVs. Data in the theoretical part is compared with real facts. On the basis of this confrontation, conclusions concerning various categories as well as the whole issue are made.
Selection and Admission of Staff on the Labour Market in the Czech Republic

The diploma thesis deals with used aspects of admission of new staff. Czech labour market is described in brief , including the recent trends in the unemployment rate. The work attends to the process of admission of new staff, variety of methods, mode of choosing and the steps of selection new staff. There is a chapter that deals with strategy and instruments of staff selection, especially CV and interview. The final chapter is dedicated to the question of discrimination in respect to staff selection.
Recruitment process in audit and advisory companies

The aim of this thesis is to describe all the processes connected with recruitment in audit and advisory companies. This thesis focuses on particular phases of the recruitment process from the view of candidate and presents also some recommendations and warnings. The whole thesis can be divided into two sections. The theoretical part submits the comprehensive overwiev of phases, preparation and all the documents needed for the interview. This part provides answers to different questions related to curriculum vitae, covering letter, assessment centre, tests and personal interviews. The content of the practical part is a detailed description of recruitment in consulting company KPMG Czech Republic. The final chapter compares the process of recruitment in a different significantly smaller advisory company.

The aim of this work is to form material that sums up some basic requierements demanded from persons aplying for a job. Following text will be written to provide useful advice and information to be highly successful in our seeking process. This work is devided into two parts. Teoretical and practical. In the teoretical part some patterns occuring in the labour market will be presented. Also some important documents needed for job application will be discussed. I will mention self-presentation and required competence. It the practical part there will be a research carried out. This research will deal with ten personal placement services, that operate in the czech labour market currently. I will perform as a job aplicant.
