Stárnutie pracovnej sily a veková diskriminácia na trhu práce
Porubská, Lenka ; Brožová, Dagmar (advisor) ; Janíčko, Martin (referee)
Discrimination as well as ageing populations are very discussed topics nowadays. It can be viewed from population, demografic or economic point of view. The aim of this paper is to discover, if those two concepts have some common economic relations with regard to labour market. We will see that Czech Republic is not any different from other EU member states in dealing with age discrimination, ageing populations or changing in productive age limits. In this paper I will model the situations in which age discrimination could, but does not have to occur, and I will give legal reasons for it. I will also show how the ageing populations influence labour market and what consequences does it have. I will compare the statistic data with my own research and draw a situation in Czech Republic. I will focus on population of higher age and with anonymous questionnaire I will describe this problem from their point of view.

Cultural differences in multinational cororations with focus on south-east Asia
Becková, Pavlína ; Filipová, Alena (advisor) ; Zeman, Jiří (referee)
My diploma thesis is focused on the culture, interculture comminication and cultural differences, especially in south-east Asia - with focus on Malaysia, Indonesia, Singapore. I made my own research on the perception of cultural differences. The target group was young people from the whole World, who are working in south-east Asia. At the end of my thesis I am combining the knowledge I got from the research and the theoretical part.

Tax support for research and development
Zábrodský, Jan ; Slintáková, Barbora (advisor) ; Slintáková, Barbora (referee)
The bachelor's thesis deals with the issue of public support, and in particular with the fiscal aid towards research and development. It describes the current framework of the tax support with a focus on the deduction from the income tax to the expenditure on research and development projects. In order to make the best knowledge about the deduction, the paper examines in more detail and explains the legislation related to the deduction. The goal of this paper is to evaluate the total of private funds to finance research and development with regard to the introduction of deduction. The result of the paper is the interpretation of primary data from which to reveal the impact of incentive deduction to support the implementation of research and development, but only as a supplement to direct aid.

Geometry on GPU
Fromek, Daniel ; Ambrož, David (referee) ; Pelikán, Josef (advisor)
Today's GPUs, thanks to their performance and programmability (this property wasn't available until recently), are a promising tool for performing geometric computations in computer graphics. But differences between GPUs and CPUs cause a number of complications when adapting particular algorithms. Some of them are even easier to implement on GPU then on CPU, for others it is more difficult and some of them are totally unsuitable for GPU. This thesis studies ways how to employ GPU in computations regarding some well known types of curves and surfaces. Main focus is on area of subdivision surfaces, which are often used in today's computer graphics modeling, because they are very powerful tool. Part of this thesis is an implementation of algorithm for GPU that constructs subdivision surfaces using Catmull-Clark scheme. Results show us that GPU can perform these computations much faster than CPU, proving GPU to be handful tool when performing computer graphics geometric computations.

Acquaintanceship of the catholics with the problem of assisted reproduction
Daly, Jana ; Ovečka, Libor (advisor) ; Skoblík, Jiří (referee)
How informed are Catholics about assisted reproduction Infertility is on the increase and alongside this problem thre has been a growth in the number of clinics offering assisted reproduction mainly in the developed world. More and more people who are unable to give birth naturally are deciding on artificial insemination. The goal of this thesis was to find out the standing of the Catholic people with regards to this phenomenon, how much they are aware of it, what is the source of their knowledge and how much they agree with the church's teaching. The first part introduces the techniques of reproductive medicine and, in particular, their negative circumstances. The following part describes the research whose focus was groups of Catholics in Prague, outside Prague and also students at theological colleges. Its results to a large extent answer the questions that the author asks herself in the introduction. KEYWORDS: Assisted Reproduction, Artificial Insemination, Catholics, Embryo, Infertility.

International arbitration and the Brussels' jurisdictional regime
Macháčová, Paulína ; Pauknerová, Monika (advisor) ; Brodec, Jan (referee)
in English The purpose of this master's thesis is to analyse the interfaces between international arbitration and litigation within the Brussels' jurisdictional regime. Arbitration has always been excluded from the scope of the Brussels' regime. However, the exact scope of this exclusion was always unclear and subject to long lasting debates and disputes. The consequences of determining whether a certain issue falls within the exclusion or not are far reaching and may seriously jeopardise the enforceability of an arbitration agreement and the effectiveness of arbitration in general. The main problem connected with the uncertainty regarding the actual scope of the arbitration exclusion, is the risk of parallel proceedings and conflicting judgements. Firstly, this thesis provides a general characteristic of alternative dispute resolution with focus on international arbitration and sources of its regulation. The overview of the history of the arbitration exclusion follows in order to create a foundation for the following analysis of the exclusion itself. The core part of the thesis aims to determine the scope of the arbitration exclusion, mainly through the analysis of the CJEU's case law and relevant literature. Special attention is paid to the judgements on validity of an arbitration agreement and...

Framing and its Effect on Misinformation
Bank, Shanna ; Pauknerová, Daniela (advisor) ; Procházka, David Anthony (referee)
The aim of this research is to determine the extent to which the framing of information can reduce the persistence of misinformation. The overall research consists of two experiments of which the first has been conducted and is described in this paper. It investigates the strength of differently framed statements and the degree to which the regulatory focus fit the participants experienced influenced their preference for certain statements. 52 participants have completed the survey in which they were presented several statements containing the same facts but framed differently based on the principles of valence message framing. The research found the positive goal frame, positive valence frame and the company s original statement to be most effective. These statements will form the basis for the second experiment which aims to combine the different frames in such a manner that the continued influence effect will be reduced.
