Warsaw Pact in 50's and 60's
Bílý, Matěj ; Pelikán, Jan (advisor) ; Horčička, Václav (referee)
Thesis deals with a history of the Warsaw pact from its establishing in 1955 to 1969, when a period of the alliance's shaping was finished. Work primary focuses on internal military and political devolvement, analyzed in context of events and devolvement in the Eastern Bloc and simultaneously running Cold War. The Warsaw Pact came through very dynamical changes in the researched period. If the establishing of the pact did not change international political situation and only formally terminated autonomy of the Soviet European satellites' armed forces, in the time when the reform documents were approved in Budapest, the Warsaw Pact meant the real military alliance and international organization putting forward not irrelevant international initiatives. However, situation within the Warsaw Pact always depended on the development of the relations in the Soviet sphere of influence and actual military and political line of Moscow. In fact, the Kremlin adjusted its acting toward the pact fully to the Soviet's recent needs. Submitted text, based primarily on the research in Czech archives and another published documents, explains why the Warsaw pact was established, how the cooperation in the pact proceeded, what was the real importance of the alliance during the hot Cold War and Eastern Bloc crisis in the...

The Soviet Public Diplomacy. Great Britain and France in the Foreign Policy of the USSR. 1935-1938.
Kolenovská, Daniela ; Reiman, Michal (advisor) ; Litera, Bohuslav (referee) ; Voráček, Emil (referee)
The Soviet Union tried, after the Nazis took power in Germany, to build up an antifascist coalition with Great Britain and France. Wide institutional framework of Soviet soft power was introduced to support Moscow's weak position. The British and French public reaction was positive, but it was not strong enough to force the governments to fulfil Soviet economic and security expectations. The Civil War in Spain disapproved the Soviet attempt to collaborate with the Great Powers and the strategy of collective security was withdrawn.

Fuzzy and interval-probabilistic methods of risk assessment of the investment project implemented by public private partnership
Ostrouško, Viktorie ; Synek, Miloslav (advisor) ; Ivánek, Jiří (referee) ; Scholleová, Hana (referee)
The result of my dissertation justifies the use of fuzzy-sets theory to make a prediction of cost risk of a PPP project, when there is not enough information available to clearly describe the project, and, when the probability distributions of the variables that characterize the project are unknown. I showed that fuzzy-sets theory and linguistic variables may be effectively used in such a case. In this thesis were classified different types of uncertainty and investigated traditional methods for estimating efficiency of a investment project in conditions of uncertainty. On the basis of the analysis were offered new ways of conducting risk analysis for PPP projects with use of fuzzy sets theory. The main goal was to create an application model for risk assessment of the PPP project which, with a high degree of reliability, suggests a general assessment of situation. The goal set in my work was met. Model of risk assessment of the project proposed by me gives more stable results in comparison with the probabilistic model. For comparison were used different types of probability distribution functions and membership functions. The following conclusions and statements describe the novelty of the work on fuzzy logic and economic theory: develops a method of cash-flow (future expenditure connected with the appearance of risk) modeling of investment project in fuzzy environment, demonstrates the use of fuzzy sets theory in projects analyses and describes how to calculate and interpret this value, demonstrates example of the use of results applied to the analysis of infrastructure development project in Moscow, Russia. The possibility of using this method is not only in the analysis of infrastructure development projects, but also in realization of non-commercial projects by social institutes and government agencies.

The conclusion of the thesis summarizes the most signifiant pieces of information about the current state of customs issues in the Czech Republic but also within the European Union. Also it contains my opinions on the process of customs declaration and work of customs officer in the Damco CR s.r.o.

Political and economic intergation of Czechoslovakia to the Eastern Bloc
Kleinbauer, Jan ; Szobi, Pavel (advisor) ; Chalupecký, Petr (referee)
My bachelor's thesis goes back to the period of the end of the World War II, especially to the period of three years after the end. The goal is to provide a complex insight of events of that period when Czechoslovakia got in thrall to the Soviet Union. It is focused on particular political and economic events in Czechoslovakia used by Moscow to show its objectives in Central Europe. Firstly, I analyzed the situation during liberation of Czechoslovakia by the Red Army and just after. I focused on the Government Programme of Košice, Soviet critic of the Prague Uprising and the Czech National Council. Secondly, I analyzed Moscow's pressure about Těšín area situation and annexation of the Subcarpathian Rus, government elections of 1946 and influence of its results on building up relations between Czechoslovakia and the Soviet Union. In the area of economic relations, I focused on disputes about war booty, new trade contracts negotiations with the USSR and consequent problems that escalated with Moscow's dictate about the Marshall Plan adoption. After that, I examined the conception of politics of Edvard Beneš and his relation to the USSR being a person that believed in victory of democracy.
