Municipal Debt in the region of South Bohemia
Cenková, Veronika ; Žáková Kroupová, Zdeňka (advisor) ; Lenka, Lenka (referee)
The main objective of the thesis is to evaluate the development of the municipal debt in the Czech Republic in the interval 2004-2014. The sub-objectives are to define the development of municipal debt in the Czech Republic in the interval 2004-2014, to define the structure of the municipal debt in the country concerned, to categorize the municipal debt in the Czech Republic according to the area and to assess the municipal debt in light of the size of the region. Concrete municipalities in the region of South Bohemia will be presented as examples and the results of this debt incurred in the watched interval on municipal management will be introduced. The theoretical part introduces the phenomenon of debt in municipalities in the Czech Republic. The applied part of the thesis analyses the debt of the city of Hluboká nad Vltavou and consequently it investigates and the debt service and the debt incurred in the watched interval of other municipalities such as Dubné, Dříteň, Zlatá Koruna and the city of Velešín. The results of the analysis are presented together with some recommendations. For the applied part of the thesis three municipalities with effectively allocated finance were chosen. These will be compared with two municipalities which did not manage their finance as effectively. Hluboká nad Vltavou, Zlatá Koruna and Velešín represent the first group while Dubné and Dříteň represent the second group. The biggest problem of these indebted municipalities is the fact that the municipalities take a credit for the operation of the municipality instead of pre-refinancing grants. In conclusion the thesis evaluates its findings. Throughout this thesis several methods were used, including; analysis of relevant publications, interviews, and comparisons.

Productivity dynamics of herb layer in the thermophilous oakwood in the Nature Reservation Na Voskopě (Czech Karst) with respect to the solar radiation intensity
Mevald, Ondřej ; Černý, Tomáš (advisor) ; Josef, Josef (referee)
The Nature Reserve Na Voskopě is a special site where a long-term experiment was established in 2013, dealing with the switch of a long abandoned coppice back to its actively managed form. The project aims to examine the long-term impact of the proposed measures on the structure and diversity of plant species in herb layer especially in lighter woods at lower altitudes. The specific aim of this study was to examine the hypothesized crucial role of light conditions on the dynamics of plant biomass production in the undergrowth of such experimentally opened up thermophilous oak-dominated stand. A design was set up based on 40 permanent plots, where there were taken biomass samples from the herb layer in 2015. Further on, hemispherical images of forest canopy were photographed in the centre of each permanent plot. These images were evaluated in the analytical program WinScanopy, which calculates the amount of direct and diffuse radiation. The obtained datasets were evaluated by the regression analysis. The only decisive variable affecting the productivity of the herb layer turned to be diffuse radiation. The biomass data were also compared with light conditions sampled in the previous season (2014) as a part of ongoing experimental research. Season 2014 is characterized as a normal one and we managed to find a much stronger relationship between light conditions in 2014 and biomass productivity in 2015. Light conditions in season 2015 were significantly affected by the extremely dry and hot weather leading to strong defoliation of forest canopy. Still, we managed to demonstrate the positive impact of light conditions for the production of herb layer biomass. Weather extremes may also indicate an increase in biomass production in the next season, since a significant proportion of nutrients remained unused in the soil due to stopping the growth of vegetation. The current composition of the vegetation is very often determined by the extreme events in the abiotic environment occurring not long ago. Hemispherical images also proved as a very effective way to determine the light conditions, so it is also recommended to use for further research.

Khajlová, Anna ; Stádník, Luděk (advisor) ; Ducháček, Jaromír (referee)
This bachelor thesis is focused on suckler cows breeding. Literary review and further details are focused on the development and application of four selected beef breeds of British origin in terms of cattle breeding in the Czech Republic. In the introduction I would like to describe mainly the origin and domestication of cattle. Much of the work is also devoted to meat production, its control and eventually classification and monetising the final product according to a single system SEUROP applicable in countries European Union. In this chapter were simultaneously described factors of the most important facts affecting meat performance that affects the overall results of the breed, including its profitability. The second half of the thesis summarizes the basics of cattle breeding, organization during the calendar year and grazing. There is an idea of reproduction, calving and basic measures during rearing and weaning calves. In other chapters, are explained the circumstances of the development of animal husbandry and the current status of beef breeds in the country. Also described are two basic systems of breeding beef cattle, it is a system of intensive fattening and breeding no milked cattle under extensive conditions, which are characterized in detail in a separate chapter. In the last chapters are presented in detail four selected meat breeds originating from the British Isles, which are in our conditions most frequently raised and used for extensive breeding system no milked cattle. There is also magnified view of history. It contains breeding these selected breeds, including the identification numbers of the development from the beginning to the present. Besides to the detailed characteristics of these selected meat breeds and their descriptions are shown and summarized like the results of performance within the CHECKS performance of beef cattle. For each breed they are processed mainly results concerning the weight of calves in individual sections and their rearing till 365 days of age, in addition, depending on gender. At the end, there are mentioned criteria of selection program, breeding goals and standard of these four selected meat breeds of British origin.

Glycaemic index of food and its determination
Špiláčková, Aneta ; Kouřimská, Lenka (advisor) ; Monika, Monika (referee)
The purpose of this thesis was to elaborate a literature recherche on a given theme with focus on analytical methods to estimate the glycaemic index of food. This bachelor thesis is divided into three main chapters. First chapter describes general characteristics of glycaemic index of foods and influencing factors. In this chapter states the influence of high and low glycaemic index foods on health, wellbeing and glycaemia in humans. Subsequent part of this chapter is dealing with many other factors that influence the absolute amount of glucose in blood in 2 hour interval after meal. Chapter two initiates into conventional and continual methods of glycaemia measurement. It highlights the advantages and limitations of each of these methods. Third, the most extensive chapter is dealing with methods of glycaemic index assessment. This chapter is broken down into two parts. First part specifies clinical methods that are also called in vivo, and the second part is focusing on in vitro methods. Clinical methods require blood glycaemia measurement in healthy volunteers after consuming a test meal. With this method we are able to reliably state the glycaemic index of certain foods. The limiting factor of this method is that it is rather time-consuming and it requires higher financial means. These measurements take place under a strict control, according to guidelines and only with the approval of ethical committee. Analytical methods are based on simulation of human digestion. In vitro methods use hydrolysis index to obtain the glycaemic index. The final values are only an assessment of glycaemic index of given food. Other method that is described is measurement of fast and slowly available glucose and starch in given test foods. It is based on measurement of released glucose from the test food with HPLC method, time incubation and standardized conditions. Last method includes partitioning of a test food, and subsequent HPLC analysis of carbohydrates and sugar alcohols. The HPLC results are processed in artificial neural network to reveal glycaemic index values. The advantages and disadvantages of each mentioned method are stated in conclusion of this work. I compared and contrasted reliability, elaborateness, budget demands of analytical methods with clinical assessment methods.

Effect of breed and storage on goat milk quality
Hončíková, Barbora ; Potůčková, Miroslava (advisor) ; Michaela, Michaela (referee)
The aim of this diploma thesis was in theoretical part to summarise current knowledge about composition, physico-chemical, technological and sensory properties and cryostability of goat milk including a comparison of this characteristics for dairy goat breeds which are used for industrial and farm dairy production. Goat milk has high nutritional and therapeutic value. It is suitable for dairy industry processing as well as cow milk. In the Czech Republic, where is traditional cow milk consumption, the interest of consumers in goat milk products increased recently. The main Czech dairy goat breeds are White and Brown-Shorthaired Goats. In the practical part of diploma thesis were compared the 2 main Czech dairy goat breeds, White and Brown-Shorthaired Goats, with a rare breed Girgentana Goat. Cryostability of goat milk was observed for 16 weeks (0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 8, 12 and 16 weeks) for White and Brown-Shorthaired breed. Characterized parameters were main components (total solid, non-fat solid, fat, lactose, crude proteins and casein), minor components (citric acid, urea, free fatty acids and fatty acid profile), physico-chemical properties (density, freezing point and titratable acidity), technological properties (cheeseability, fermentability and thermostability) and for fresh milk also sensory identity and acceptability. It was found that milk from Girgentana Goats contains the significantly (p < 0.05) highest amount of total solid, fat and lactose. The highest amount of crude proteins (p < 0.05) was on the contrary observed in Brown-Shorthaired Goat milk H1. These two samples had also the best cheeseability (p < 0.05) but the worst sensory acceptability because of their strong goat flavour and taste. During the storage test of White and Brown-Shorthaired Goat milk samples was found significantly (p < 0.05) negative influence of storage in frozen state only on cheeseability. This could be explain by the negative changes in the conformatin of proteins, especially casein fraction.

Analysis of project- and tender prices of arboricultural treatments within project Greenery restoration in group of communities Novoborsko
Sviták, Jan ; Kunt, Miroslav (advisor) ; Miroslav, Miroslav (referee)
SUMMARY The first chapter of my dissertation is set on the problematics of greenery in villages and cities and characterization of activities that are realized in the project The common solution in the care of the native landscape where the inventarization of trees in the region of the Union of the Novoborsko villages is processed, with the utilization of standard metodics of technical state meassuring of trees, analysis of the state of vegetation zones and the singular trees with the use of ISAT metodics and measurements. With the measurements acquired in this project was founded the project: Regeneration of the greenery in the Union of the Novoborsko villages. The aim of this work is comparison of real prizes in individual arrangements with the prizes of transparent open competitions. The work contains summary of prizes of these arrangements in the individual villages and cities in the Union. In the next stage are the main section of open competitions and the output acquired from the prize offers of individual companies involved in these competitions. The last stage of this work contain outputs and the realization of next stages of the The common solution in care of the greenery project and the preparation of the Regeneration of the greenery in the Union of the Novoborsko villages project. The outputs shows common and widely known truth that the projected prizes of the projects are way off in comparsion with the offered prizes of companies which partakes in the open competitions . This work proved that final prize of the starting prizes in the competitive tendering is significantly lowered in the end. Specifically saying, the prize of the winning prizes is lowered for about a third for the whole project, but even equally in the partial prizes of the items. After comparsion analysis of prius, using the application of prizes listed in the ÚRS price lists in combination with real prizes of arboristic companies it gives us a common rules how to prepare a request for grants linked with projects of the solutions in the care of greenery.Practical and theoretical skills of the realized project Regeneration of the greenery in the Union of the Novoborsko villages were used. In my opinion the main aim of these outputs can be in the usage of the realization and the preparation of the projects linked with the care of the greenery and woody plants that villages and towns in Liberec region make, because the situation is similar like in the Union of the Novoborsko villages. I believe that this work may improve the not so good state of greenery and the better budget making of small villages.
