Risk Analysis of Self-Driven Vehicles
Weigel, Filip ; Šimek, Václav (referee) ; Strnadel, Josef (advisor)
The goal of this thesis was to design and implement system for risk analysis in self-driving cars. This thesis focused on design and implementation of system for risk analysis in models. One of the requirements for the system was to be flexible and robust. Design of the risk analysis was presented at theoretical level and then implemented in models of ABS and ESP systems in UPPAAL environment. The system was then tested via multiple experiments. The experiments were beneficial and the system for risk analysis correctly evaluated failure scenarios with adequate response to the rising level of risk. Experiment outputs were then presented at graphs with comment to each failure scenario.
Probabilistic semantics for Independence-friendly Logics
Seidl, Julian ; Majer, Ondrej (advisor) ; Švarný, Petr (referee)
(in English): Character of the work is purely theoretical and it pursues game theory in the perspective of mathematical logic and probability. The work is divided into two parts. Introductory part compiles basic concepts and definitions, summarizing the game theory and basics of syntax and semantics of mathematical logic and its extensions suitable for work in the field of game theory. Introductory part also explains following terms: extensive and strategic form of games, Nash equilibrium, pure and mixed strategies, winning strategies or independence-friendly logic. The problems solved in the second part of the work such as question of existence of Nash equilibrium in the games with infinite models or issue which arises when trying to uniformly distribute the probability of strategies in the same class of games are sketched out. The second part continues with analysis of strategic games with imperfect information aiming to the solution of nontrivial problems earlier proposed. Second part also introduces basic concepts and definitions of the probability theory, which helps comprehending the problems mentioned above. The last part of the work before the very presentation of some results induced by the area of infinite games is conversion between strategic and extensive games form. In the end of the...
Factors of satisfaction with and repeated use of peer-to-peer accommodation
Bělohradská, Michaela ; Sedláčková, Markéta (advisor) ; Sládek, Jan (referee)
In order to better understand the usage of peer-to-peer accommodation, the thesis examines factors of satisfaction with and repeated use of this accommodation option. An additional research purpose of this thesis is to explore, what factors are affecting the attitude of users of peer-to-peer accommodation to the sharing economy. Research sample (N = 129) is constituted of users of Couchsurfing who were specified into next stratified systematic selection on the basis of their availability through search engine of hosts, their residence in Prague, Czech language and activity on their user profile within the last six months. On the basis of the relevant theoretical framework a questionnaire and research model were created. Consequent analysis of data from a quantitative online survey was conducted using regression analysis. The results reveal that the perceived environmental frugality contributes most to the probability of the re- use of peer-to-peer accommodation, and it is also influential in context of attitude. The findings also refer to the environmental frugality, joy of helping others, and economic savings as factors positively influencing users' satisfaction with peer-to-peer accommodation.
Pyrrho's, academic and methodical skepticism - comparison
Brabníková, Petra ; Blažková, Miloslava (advisor) ; Rybák, David (referee)
The main objective of my dissertation is to research and to introduce hellenistic skepticism of postclassical Greece and methodical skepticism of modern times thinker Rene Descartes. There are differences between the ancient Pyrrhonism and the younger skepticism of Academy, which I would like to clear up. I have in view Descartes' skepticism too, which create a methodological technique of cognition in new way. Rene Descartes, contrary to hellenistic skeptics, doesn't accept the "epoche", which means a certain bliss, but he moves on in his research, when he believes in a possibility of truthful cognition. Purpose of my thesis is to critically take account of historical and philosophical context, from which both of skepticisms have been created, to put a question, what kind of meaning they had in history of philosophy and also to think about fundamental question of connection between hellenistic and Descartes doubt. I try to accent common characteristics and differences of both concepts. key words - skepticism, methodical skepticism, truthful cognition, probability, phenomena, senses, intellect, bliss
The beginnings of probability theory
Marcinčín, Martin ; Staněk, Jakub (advisor) ; Halas, Zdeněk (referee)
The purpose of this thesis is to give a summary of historical development and explain fundamentals of the probability theory. Early systematic thoughts, emergence of classical Laplace, geometric and statistical definition of probability with development of theory, independence, conditional probability and Bayes theorem are shown. The thesis describes first mention of random values and the central limit theorem. The alternative, discrete uniform, binomial, Poisson, continuous uniform, normal and exponential distributions are discussed with historical background of their discoveries. The theory is supplemented with illustrative and contemporary examples. The thesis describes development in various fields of probability until publication of the Kolmogorov's probability theory in 1933. Powered by TCPDF (www.tcpdf.org)
Application of probabilistic methods in geomechanics
Suchomel, Radek ; Mašín, David (advisor) ; Šejnoha, Jiří (referee) ; Pruška, Jan (referee)
Three probabilistic methods of different complexity for slope stability calculations are in this work evaluated with respect to a well-documented case study of slope failure in Lodalen, Norway. A finite element method considering spatial random fields of uncorrelated parameters cohesion and friction angle is taken as a reference for comparison with two simpler methods based on Taylor series expansion, known as first-order-second-moment methods. It is shown that the FOSM method enhanced by a reduction of variance of input parameters due to spatial averaging along the potential failure surface leads to a significant improvement in predictions. This method is computationally inexpensive and can be used in combination with any existing finite element code, it is thus a useful approximate probabilistic method for geotechnical practice. Several limitations of the extended method for calculating probability of a slope failure are identified. An advanced hypoplastic constitutive model is used in probabilistic analyses of a typical geotech- nical problem, strip footing. The model, including horizontal and vertical correlation lengths, was calibrated using a set of experimental data on sand from horizontally stratified deposit. Some parameters followed normal, whereas other followed lognormal distributions....
Risk Management inside Construction Company
Štrbavý, Lukáš ; Kubala, Tomáš (referee) ; Nováková, Jana (advisor)
The aim of the diploma thesis is to describe risk management in a construction company. The first part of the diploma thesis is focused on theory, which deals with the explanation of basic concepts with risks and risk management in a construction company. The second, practical part addresses the risks of a specific project.
Risk Management inside Construction Company
Kovalčíková, Barbora ; MBA, Radim Štěpánek, (referee) ; Nováková, Jana (advisor)
The bachelor’s thesis is focused on Risk management in a construction company. The thesis is divided into the theoretical and practical part. The theoretical part is dedicated to information about risk in projects, basic division and control. The practical part pays closer attention to a specific construction contract, in which case the acquired theoretical knowledge is applied. Furthermore, it includes the identification of risks, their evaluation and the motion of the precautions against increasing their impact or elimination.
