Universal Reservation System in Cloud

This bachelor thesis describes design and implementation of universal reservation system in cloud. Main part of this thesis includes review of cloud providers and existing reservation systems. Furthermore this academic paper deals with proposal and implementation of the reservation system. This system can show us the benefit of the cloud. In the conclusion I deal with scalability of cloud and testing created system in Amazon Web Services cloud.

Energy Management in the Accommodation Facility

This thesis deals with heating system in accommodation facility. It clarifies the way of controlling multiple decentralized systems which results in automatization of the whole heating system. Heating distrubition into individual zones is controlled by central server which communicates with reservation system of accommodation facility. The main goal is to lower expenses for heating.

Designing a database and an application as a parametric web page for hotel owners

This thesis consists of analysing database requirements, designing and creating a database for the needs of a reservation system and its corresponding parts. The purpose of this thesis is the practical implementation of the database and subsequently creating an application in the form of an administration interface, which is implemented in MySQL database platform and web technologies. Objective of the application is to provide complex system, which connects the parametric administration system with web pages in such a way, that the administrator of the application can manage the application from within the administration section. Requirements for this application and database are based on analysing the competitor's products and my own experience with creating a web application for a small pension. The goal is achieved by designing a flawless database and implementing the application. Furthermore the application proves and validates the database implementation by using test data. Main contribution of the thesis is completed application based on a high quality database model that is ready for deployment in practice. Structure of the thesis consists of two parts. First part describes theoretical basics that are important to know before designing a database and a short introduction to history of database models. The second part is dedicated to designing the database itself.

The on-line internet booking systems of accommodation facilities in the Czech Republic

The objective of this Bachelor's thesis was to analyze possibilities for the accommodation facilities how to efficiently distribute their services via internet booking systems. These were compared, on particular examples for the advantages and disadvantages implied from the distribution from their own internet websites, booking portals and online travel agencies. Based on this comparison, there has been drawn up a list of criteria for selection of the appropriate ways for distribution of the accommodation capacities.

Analysis of selected reservation system

The diploma thesis focuses on the analysis of requirements of a selected reservation system. In particular, it concentrates on the reservation system used by the National Heritage Institute. In the thesis introduction the author describes basic functionality of this reservation system as well as its way of use within the National Heritage Institute. Furthermore, the thesis introduces an empirical research whose purpose is not only to determine necessary system adjustments but also to verify hypotheses outlined by the author. The main part of the thesis deals with a proposal how to solve particular system adjustments which emerged from the survey data.

The first part discusses the website competition that is followed by establishing the requirements for the web portal. Another segment is intended to explain the concepts and the technologies used in the thesis. The third part focuses on site design and database it uses. A final section deals with the implementation using HTML, CSS, PHP and MySQL.

This bachelor thesis deals with web applications. First, the web applications basic principles and content management systems are described. Further, analysis of the current state the restaurant and its competitors are executed. The practical part consists of the design and implementation of the website and applications for restaurant management support.
