Systems for checing electronic texts

The work deals with the possibility of control of electronic texts. Whether it is a source codes or standard text documents. The first chapter is devoted to a brief explanation of the term plagiarism and its characters. Sequentially we describe the methods and metrics used to detect plagiarist. Then we pay attention to detect plagiarism in the free text and source codes. We describe the way of preprocessing of a file and choice of basic units, which represent the document in the comparing. Source codes have a exact syntax. Therefore we attend to the syntax and semantic analysis in the chapter, which describes the check of source codes. The second half of the work is focused on the practical part, particularly on programs intended to control the source codes. The programs are divided to the freely available and the commercial. This is followed by their brief description and if it is a free trial possible we mention the results from this comparing. So we created a corpus of source codes. At the end of the work we focus on design of a program, which compares two source codes on the basis of statistical similarities.
Current possibilities of detecting plagiarism in texts

Bachelor thesis on theme "Current possibilities of detecting plagiarism in texts" is focused on plagiarism in the theses of students. Explains the concept of plagiarism, what it actually is and explains other concepts that are associated with it. Describes different types and reasons why exactly students are plagiaring. It also deals with citations and a smaller part is devoted to Copyright Act that is associated with it. The theoretical part focuses on methods for the detection of plagiarism where some texts are provided to several students in order to create plagiarism. After that it is tested through program named Theses which is designed for detection of plagiarism. The result of this is testing of functionality and its overall behavior in detection process.

This bachelor's thesis focuses on issue of plagiarism in text documents. It explains the basic concept of plagiarism, its legislation and the law from which it is based. It defines the typology of plagiarism and the reasons of their origin. Furthermore, the bachelor's thesis focuses on existing applications of plagiarism detection in text documents and their detailed description. In the practical part will deal with analysis of selected applications. Their uses and as-sessment the quality of the results.
Plagiarism in Documents: Ethical Aspects

This bachelor thesis focuses on the ethical side of plagiarism in text documents. In the first part defines the basic concepts in order to introduce issues of plagiarism. There is also described the field of the citations and ethics. The practical part deals with two main tasks. The first is ethical research among students of Faculty of Management, University of Economics in Prague. The goal is to enrich and repeat already once conducted research. The second task is devoted to codes of ethic and codes of conduct. By comparing ethical principles of prestigious universities such as Harvard, Berkeley, Yale and others, I would like to find the identical points of these codes. On this basis, I will try to suggest points that should contain the appropriate code for the Faculty of Management. I will not leave out the Czech universities.
Copyright law in schools

This thesis covers the topic of copyright law in schools. It is an overview of the usage of the copyright law, especially in the practice of pupils, students, teachers and other pedagogical workers. It tries to present an integrated overview of basic rules which can be used in the educational process in the areas of creation of an original work, licenses, non-contractual usage of the original works and the liabilities for breaching the copyright law. It covers the situations when the pupils, students, teachers and other pedagogical workers are the creators of an original work as well as cases when these people want to use original works created by others. A part of this thesis are comments from practice and findings based on surveys and discussions with the pupils and pedagogical staff.
Anti-Plagiarism Services For Our Repositories

The presentation is focused on a comparative analysis of systems for detecting duplicates (called anti-plagiarism systems) suitable for repositories of ETDs in the Czech Republic. The paper describes the testing process and results. These results can help to decide, which system will be suitable as a anti-plagiarism tool for the control of theses and other types of gray literature.

Fictional Worlds of Fanfiction

This bachelor thesis introduces basic knowledge about the so-called phenomenon of fanfiction, i.e. a complex of narrative works of literature written by fans. It presents the most significant details and issues of this phenomenon and introduces its place among other works of literature. An explanation of how fanfiction uses a fictional world of a canonical work and a comparison of fanficion and transcript follows after. The thesis discusses fictional entities and the positions of an author, a narrator, and a reader. A summary of the most common terms used in fanfiction completes this thesis.
Ethics on the Internet (Etiquette)

This thesis addresses the issue of ethics on the Internet. The first part focuses on a brief history of the development of ethics and ethical principles used even today. The second part is devoted to information ethics, which is an integral part of the Internet, since it deals with the creation, dissemination, transformation, storage, search, use and organization of information, and also deals with specific standards, codes and principles that were created either specifically for the Internet or are now an integral part. The third part is devoted to valid Czech and European legislation in the field of information work in various media, including on the Internet. The final section is devoted to the evaluation of the current situation of ethics on the Internet, where they described the problems with which we meet today. Such problems are violations of copyright law, whether piracy or plagiarism, threats associated with Internet communications, kyberstalking, cyberbullying, kybergrooming or activity on social networks. In addition, problem situations are mentioned online trading, which are currently controlled by many associations, consumer protection or influence of the media and advertisements, and incessant problem of censorship. The final part is also added to the survey, which was created speficically for this work and proposal of possible solutions to improve the current situation.

Impact of the authors' rights on the performing artist's profession

The authors' rights nowadays concern every individual. They significantly influence the performing artists, who use authors' works to make their living. This thesis analyses the specific impact of the Czech legal regulations on the professional musicians, describes the competences of the collecting societies, refers to the difficulties due to differences in the legal regulations on the international scale and defines musical theme as a new term in the legal context. The thesis proves the advantage of potential use of this term in both Czech and international courts practise.
