Forearc deformation and strain partitioning during growth of a continental magmatic arc: the northwestern margin of the Central Bohemian Plutonic Complex, Bohemian Massif

This doctoral thesis is focused on analysis of tectonic deformations associated with the Late Devonian subduction followed by the Early Carboniferous continental collision of the Saxothuringian and overriding upper-crustal Teplá-Barrandian units, which led to the growth of a large magmatic arc (the ~354-337 Ma Central Bohemian Plutonic Complex) in the central part of the Bohemian Massif. Far-field tectonic forces resulting from the collision produced ~WNW-ESE to ~NW-SE regional shortening across the forearc upper crust above the subduction zone; the shortening was accommodated by predominantly top-to-the-ESE tectonic transport along the southeastern flank of the Teplá-Barrandian unit. Approaching the magmatic arc margin, the regional structural pattern changes and exhibits significant acrossand along-strike variations interpreted as a result of strain partitioning, where the Saxothuringian/Teplá-Barrandian convergence interacted in different ways with the intruding magma pulses. Around the voluminous, northeasterly ~354 Ma Sázava pluton the principal shortening was at high angle to the forearc-facing intrusive contact and the host rocks were significantly thermally softened. Psychosocial Problems of the Patients with Locomotion Disorder Due to a Spinal Cord Injury

The thesis is focused on the psychosocial problems of the patients with locomotion disorder due to a spinal cord injury. Theoretical part of the work provides a view of the process how the patients suffer hard life situations owing to the incurrence of their physical handicap, and also provides the survey of the present possibilities of help and support. Psychosocial area at a suddenly incurred physical handicap - paraplegia - has been surveyed by the form of a qualitative research. Thanks to the analysis of semi-structured dialogues with the spinal unit patients, it has been found out in what way the patients deal with their hard life situation and what form of the support is the most worthful for them. 9

Fluid inclusions in gold-bearing quartz gangue from Padrť and Sobětice localities

Quartz veins with molybdenite and gold from the locality Padrť crosscut metamorphosed Cambrian and Ordovician sediments (quartzite, arcose, cherts) of the Barrandien unit in southwest part of Central Brdy Mts.. Based on fluid inclusion microthermometry we distinguish three main generations of the quartz gangue: Q1 - the oldest quartz, that forms the main portion of gangue; Q2 - xenomorphic crystals growing on Q1, subdivided into Q2a (dark nuclei of crystals with a quantity of primary fluid inclusions) and Q2b (pellucid crystals crystallized to vugs) overgrowing Q2a; Q3 - the youngest quartz (with calcedony-like texture) that overgrowths Q2b crystals. The first generation of quartz (Q1) precipitated from low salinity (~5 wt. % eq. NaCl) aqueous-carbonic fluid with minor methane/nitrogen admixture (~ 5 mol. %). Estimated PT conditions of Q1 formation are >350 řC and ~ 400-500 MPa (depth about 15 km under lithostatic pressure). Formation of quartz Q2 and Q3 is associated with aqueous fluids. Q2 precipitated from low salinity (< 5,9 wt. % eq. NaCl) fluid at 250 to 320 řC and 60 to 120 MPa (depth about 3 - 5 km under hydrostatic pressure). Younger subgeneration Q2b contains quantity of fluid iinclusions with signs of boiling and with wide range of salinity 1,2 to 7 wt. % eq. NaCl. The Q3 was formed from even...

Tématem bakalářské práce je popis prvotního vývoje českých lidových knihoven na našem území. První kapitola je věnována popisu historických souvislostí včetně fenoménu českého národního obrození. Druhá kapitola se zaměřuje na předpoklady vzniku prvních českých lidových knihoven a jejich typy. Kapitola třetí se stručně věnuje tzv. veřejným půjčovnám knih a jejich vztahu k lidovému knihovnictví. Jádro práce pak tvoří popis vývoje a charakteristika jednotlivých typů českých lidových knihoven (kapitola čtvrtá) a prvních českých veřejných knihoven (kapitola pátá). Šestá kapitola je věnována významným osobnostem českého lidového knihovnictví a jejich práci. Poslední kapitolu tvoří nastínění dalšího historického vývoje a na něm závislého vývoje českého lidového knihovnictví. Bakalářská práce byla zpracována na základě publikované literatury a studiu dobového tisku.

The causes and consequences of mortgage crisis in the USA

The theme of this thesis is the mortgage crisis in the United States which has started almost three years ago after the burst of a price bubble in the American residential real estate market. The first part of the work describes the rise and collapse of technology bubble, the securitization process, monetary policy of FED and the role of rating agencies. All of these reasons lead to the current crisis. The second part analyses causes of the crisis in the global view. It focuses on global imbalances and deals with macro aggregate. Special attention is paid to growth of montary aggregate, its strukcture and developing Asian economies after the currency crisis. The last part of the work touches on implications for regulation and supervision in the USA and Europe.

Precis Name of thesis: Development and present situation of swimming and water sports in region of Jindřichův Hradec Aim: Aim of this work is description of development water sports in region of Jindřichův Hradec From 1st half of 19 century till 2008. Follow the development of swimming and water sports from aspect of performance and recreational sports and also probe the situation of swimmning facilities in Jindřichův Hradec. Method: For decribe of swimming and water sports we used archival materials and historical method. The final point of this method is show main characteristics for better knowledge of structure and development of this unit. For this labor we used all available historical materials and periodics. Results: It is compact look of swimmnig history and water sports from beginning and decribe all important moments in region of Jindřichův Hradec.
