Combining moral, character and social education with multicultural education in a realization of a project focusing on Romany people

This thesis deals with the problems concerning cross-curricular subjects, in particular focusing on Multicultural Education and Moral, Character and Social Education, their defining in the Framework Education Programme for Elementary Education. Furthermore, it outlines the possibility of their interconnection in a concrete project with the topic of Romany. This thesis is based on the conviction of the importance of the transcultural approach to the Multicultural education in practise. It also deals with the character of a teacher mainly in the relation to the above mentioned cross-curricular subjects. The main objective of this thesis is the actual realisation of the project in two selected schools. The project has already been put forward in my bachelor thesis. I committed myself there to the realisation of the project in practise and for that purpose the project itself had to be adjusted, namely shortened due to its time demandingness. The actual evaluation of the project is also a part of the practical section of this thesis.
Conception of cross-curricular subjets in natur science subjects at secondary school.

The task of contemporary education is not only to equip pupils with skills and knowledge, but to give them postures and values as well. That is one of the goals of the so-called cross-curricular subjects, which were brought by the education reformation accomplished several years ago. This area is as new for many teachers as it is for pupils and that is the reason why this master thesis was created. It provides basic information about cross-curricular subjects and supplies options for their practical implementation in the education. The theoretical section aims at the characterization of Czech and foreign cross-curricular subjects and their mutual comparison. The research section, among others, contains practical suggestions interconnecting the cross-curricular subjects with natural sciences education, and some of them have been verified in practice. Questionnaire survey follows, finding out the position of high school students towards the cross-curricular subjects and towards key-competence developing activities. Students also expressed their opinion on the practical suggestions application during education in this survey. In conclusion of the study, the observed results were evaluated and compared with the literature and author's opinions.
Extra-class activities as a support to the school educational programme

TITLE: Extra-curricular activities as a support to the School educational programmes SUMMARY: The diploma thesis deals with the theme of extra-curricular activities and their supporting the curricular documents. The objectives of this thesis are to describe how extra-curricular activities support the School Education Programmes and the acquisition of the cross-curricular subjects after class. To meet these objectives the author applies triangulation of qualitative methods with the grounded theory design. The benefits of this thesis lie in pointing out the fact that leisure time activities can support the acqusition of the cross curricular subjects in schools and the provision of further findings about the possibilities of extra-curricular activities within the frame of the School Education Programmes.
Planning of teaching focused on cross curricula topics and verification of its impact on the development of key values and attitudes of primary school pupils

The target of the thesis In the theoretical part of the thesis is my aim to chart the teachers possibilities for incorporation of the sectional themes into the teaching at first level of basic school. Especially the theme regarding the education of the thinking in European and global context. I would like to focus on how the teacher can within the class develop the students values and their attitude, which are related to the sectional themes and concurrently, how can we detect and use the impacts of this type of teaching. I will focus on definition of the requirements for the teachers, who prefers approach to the teaching oriented on attitudes and values. In the empirical part of the thesis I am going to make a case study at the basic school, which will chart the actual work of the survey methods, regarding the students values and their attitudes and efficiency of the intervention presented as targeted work with these values and attitudes. The thesis focuses on the characteristics of the current the qualification teachers of civics and current state of this course. The theoretical part will be explained the basic concepts: competence, approbation, cross-cutting themes, textbook civics, civics in General education program. Empirical research will be carried out quantitatively by questionnaire. The aim is to ascertain the qualifications of current teachers in Vysočina. Furthermore, this work investigates how these teachers are satisfied with the educational content of the subject civics.
Education for democratic citizenship at secondary school

The diploma thesis deals with one of the cross-cutting issues in RVP ZV. It is devoted to the education which results in active citizenship in a democracy. A theoretical part is related to the following topics: education for citizenship, curriculum reform, core competencies, education for democratic citizenship and civics textbooks. The meaning of Cross-curricular Themes in primary school education

My diploma thesis deals with Cross-curricular themes for teaching in primary school education and especially with the Cross-curricular theme Education to Thinking in European and Global Context. In the theoretical section I have explained the changes in the curriculum, the White paper and the Framework educational program and briefly I have characterized all Cross-curricular themes. Theoretically and within educational areas I have focused on the Cross-curricular theme Education to Thinking in European and Global Context. In the practical section I have done a survey of primary school teachers to examine attitudes to Cross-curricular themes and the integration of the Cross-curricular theme Education to Thinking in European and Global Context into lessons. I have compared relation to each Cross-curricular theme. I have also suggested an intensive instruction leading to the formation of attitudes and opinions by content of the Education to Thinking in European and Global Context.
Implementing personal and social education in primary school education

For the fifth year running, personal and social education (PSE) has been a part of primary school curriculum in the Czech Republic. This study examines how this cross-curricular subject is dealt with in six different primary schools. The theoretical part describes the history of PSE, its objectives, methods of implementation, principles, its position in primary school curriculum and its relationship to other cross-curricular subjects. The research part contains a study of the school curriculum of six primary schools from the point-of-view of PSE, an analysis of questionaires for observer of educational units working with PSE objectives and an analysis of self-examining questionaires for the teachers of these units.
Chosen ethic problems in the purport of cross-section themes

Contemporary transformation of the Czech primary educational system is characterized according to RVP ZV. The thesis deal with cohesion of the RVP ZV and ethic aspects. The author focuses on ethic education as a complementary educional branche and surveys approaches of individual teachers to this curriculum. The theoretical part explains basic ideas such as ethic, curriculum and section themes. The work acquaints with the ethic education, its aims, methods and its representation in the curriculum. In the practical part are analysed the statements of respondents and compared the approaches of pedagogues to the own realised curriculum with the ethic aspects. The aim of work is to discover, whether the ethic education is involved in the teaching and how the teachers approach to this education.
