The design study of the modular swirl turbine solution
Brabenec, Ladislav ; Haluza, Miloslav (referee) ; Pochylý, František (advisor)
This Bachelor Thesis focuses on structural design of a swirl turbine with a disc generator with a subsequent detailed elaboration of technical documentation for a successful production a testing prototype.
Control device for Kaplan turbine
Veselý, Josef ; Rokyta, Marek (referee) ; Pospíšil, Jiří (advisor)
This bachelor theses consists of usage and construction of Kaplan runner. It gives an overwiew of hydroelectric plants and water turbines. The main emphasis is on mechanism of Kaplan runner and calculation of regulating force and selected parts of mechanism.
Foundation of the Ecological Energy Firm
Dostál, Jaroslav ; Němcová, Hana (referee) ; Bayerová, Vladimíra (advisor)
The master’s thesis follows up the possibility of using renewable for making electric power. It detects conditions of further development in this discipline and external factors which are applied to business. It rates from economic view little hydroelectric, wind and photovoltaic power stations. In business plan it elaborates in detail prosecution of the little hydroelectric plants, which is at the end subjected to financial analysis and it’s decided if this business makes sense.
Provision of alternative sources of electricity for a real estate surrounded by foreign property
Kubrtová, Zuzana ; Kacálek, Petr (referee) ; Klika, Pavel (advisor)
This thesis deal with alternative sources of electric energy in case the besieged immovable. Thesis describes the possible solutions for alternative source of electricity and determines their technical and financial demands. In this work we were calculated energy requirement for the selected object and included specific proposals for alternative energy sources. Part of this thesis is to compare the various options, assessing financial performance and returns.
Design of a micro waterpower turbines for low head and low dicharge
Macek, Libor ; Fic, Miloslav (referee) ; Štigler, Jaroslav (advisor)
This diploma thesis discusses the issue of finding type of water turbine for very low heads and low discharges, which could be operated as mobile micro hydropower plant in island mode. Thesis deals with summary of appropriate choices of water turbine for needs of micro hydropower plant. Essential part of diploma thesis deals with design of optimized waterwheel. Waterwheel was chosen because commercial high-speed turbines have low efficiency for low heads. Waterwheel was manufactured and measured in laboratories of Fluid engineering. Measurement output was discharge and efficiency characteristic of turbine. The price calculation was made after manufacture.
The tooth pump in the turbine regime
Tyburec, Adam ; Dobšáková, Lenka (referee) ; Haluza, Miloslav (advisor)
The objective of this diploma study is to develop and secure production of gear turbine with very low specific speed in comparison with conventional turbines. The first part of the work deals with already performed research of similar hydrostatic turbines. It is followed by construction design, including complete drawing documentation. The production of the prototype is secured by an external company. Finally, an experimental measurement of the characteristics of the designed turbine is performed in the laboratories of Fluid Engineering.
Real potential of renewable energy sources in Czech republic
Tofel, Jan ; Kropáč, Jiří (referee) ; Máša, Vítězslav (advisor)
The aim of this thesis is to present the basic characteristics of renewable energy sources and assess their potential for further use in the Czech Republic. Based on studying literature, statistics, foreign experience and consultation with experts is reviewed which of these resources in the Czech Republic give meaning or how to ensure their effective use. The individual chapters of the thesis describe in detail the characteristics of renewable energy and in the final chapter are reviewed economic and environmental terms.
Accumulation of Energy from Renewable Energy Sources
Heller, Ondřej ; Radil, Lukáš (referee) ; Mastný, Petr (advisor)
The objective of the first part of master’s thesis is mapping the potential of various types of renewable sources in Europe and Czech Republic, especially solar energy, wind energy, water energy and biomass. There are described principals and ways of energy generation from these sources, brief overview of current technologies, and also their advantages and limitations. An important part is electric supply continuity from renewable sources, there are large differences and the resulting to restrictions on construction and connecting the units to the power system. In this work there are mentioned some impacts on network and rates of change of supply, some sources are also evaluated in terms of maximum power, that can be connected to the power system in our country. The conclusion of the first part is dedicated to energy storage technologies, which are suitable and usable for renewable sources, there are described their principals, properties, status of development and types of aplications, in which these technologies are used. This chapter also focusses on the price level of each technology. The second part of the thesis deals with 1 MWp on-grid photovoltaic power plant design. This design includes also the redox flow batteries accumulation, the first variant calculates on 24-hour steady energy supply, the second optimalized variant calculates on daily energy supply. There are the accumulation system costs estimated and also the payback period for the both variants. Additionally there is also determined minimum penalization for cost-effective operation. The last part is dedicated to changes of impact on the local grid and changes of system impacts, after the accumulation system is installed.
Domestic electricity production from renewable sources
Halamíček, Milan ; Fiedler, Jan (referee) ; Pospíšil, Jiří (advisor)
The present bachelor thesis describes utilization of renewable resources, which can be used for production of electric energy. It presents three ways, one of them is wind power plant, the second is photovoltaic system and the last one is water power plant. There are suggested two ways of electric energy supply to family houses including economic evaluation.
Optimization of operating heating and power plant units in the PS
Bezděk, Jakub ; Radil, Lukáš (referee) ; Mastný, Petr (advisor)
This thesis deals with the structure of the electricity transmission system in Europe and their cooperation. Furthermore, it also analyzes the basic types of power plants and heating plants, then describes the optimization of operation of the electricity transmission system, the system services, support services and providing cross-border provision of electricity. Finally, work is the definition of regulatory tools and the example shows the optimal power distribution of two specific blocks for a given load.
