Financial analysis of the company Starobrno, a.s - application of the bankruptcy and bonity models

Financial analysis of the beer producer Starobrno, a.s aims at assessing the financial situation, stability, liquidity and profitability of this company. The paper employs standard methods and tools for the assessment of financial health; it also provides the application of the bankruptcy and bonity models. The analysis is based on the publicly available information. It uses statutory information published by the company, such as Annual Reports. The paper concludes with the assessment and interpretation of the results.


Use of comlex dynamic models in design and control of walking robots

The paper describes the design of complex dynamic model of quadrupedwalking mobil robot. Method of building of thenumerical computational model and its simulating is shown. Complex model consist ofsubmodels of robotic mechanism, DC motor, gearbox model and thermal model ofelectrical motor. In the paper is also discussed application of computational model directly for control ofrobot and also as a data generator for global and local approximation method,mainly artificial neural networks. Control algorithm is also considered in model.

Currency and financial crises

This final thesis focuses on issues of currency and financial crises. It observes the main theoretical models of currency crises and their application to the currency crises of the nearest history and evaluates the causes and circumstances which, under certain conditions, lead to the occurrence of crises in the currency field. The thesis deals with the problematics, concerning funtioning of international institutions in the process of maintaining the stability of currency regres worldwide. The work examines the causes of global financial meltdown of 2008 and depicts the condition of U.S. financial markets.

The Comparison of the Czech and Slovak Governments between 1992 and 2002

The Master thesis "The Comparison of the Czech and Slovak governments between 1992 and 2002" deals with the problem of the establishment of governments, the main coalition and oposition parties and the main situations of political life of Czech and Slovak governments in this period. The thesis is divided into three chapters. Chapter one is an introduction to the topic and focuses on the process of constitution development in both countries, which was taking place in the period of the Federation. The second chapter covers the period from 1992 to 1998 and the third chapter 1998 to 2002. The following section constitutes the comparison of these specific periods. The main comparison parameters are: the stability of the party systems, the consolidation of the society, and the foreign policy development. The Czech Republic appears to be better in this excercise. It's party system is far more stabilized and it's society is much more homogenic. As argued in the thesis, this result is mainly due to the lack of any anti-democratic and authoritative element on the political scene, as it was in the period of Meciar's government in Slovakia. Methods of Static Buckling Analysis

The aim of this theses is to create application, which is able to calculate buckling load of structure made from 1D bar elements, using finite element method. introduction is devoted to basic principles of buckling and derivation of necessary formulas. Then are described all operations and numerical methods needed for the application. At the and is in detail analyzed few structures and results are compared with known solutions or with other applications.

Framework for Testing of Mobile Application Implementing Intelligent Home Control

This thesis deals with testing of mobile application implementing inteligent home remote control developed under the project Internet of Things at FIT BUT. The main goal is to create sets of automated test scenarios to verify correct functionality of the application with the intention to increase its stability. The first part presents inteligent home architecture, further continues a theoretical overview of operating system Android and testing of mobile applications with the Android operating system. Other parts are devoted to describing an implementation of the proposed method for testing of the application. Conclusion stated assess the quality of developed tests and evaluation of their results.

Velocity of money and its relevance for monetary policy

The thesis discusses some issues on the topic of money velocity. Its goal is to summarise theroretical contributions in this area, which are followed by a practical application through the monetary analysis of the Slovak Republic from 1993 to 2000. The theoretical part involves the first approaches to money velocity, explanation of the quantity theory of money and monetarism and their critique. It also describes the monerary transmission mechanism. The practical application part evaluates the impact of the stability of money velocity on the decision of the National Bank of Slovakia to abandon monetary targeting. It also focuses on the other variables that influenced monetary policy execution. The last chapter is devoted to the importance of money velocity if the central bank uses inflation targeting as its policy.

Metody oceňování pozemků a jejich aplikace

Diplomová práce se zabývá metodami oceňování pozemků a jejich aplikací, kterou ilustruji na pozemku, jenž byl nedávno zobchodován za rekordní sumu za metr čtvereční v ČR a u něhož lze z veřejně přístupných zdrojů zjistit veškeré hodnototvorné faktory. Cílem je zjistit, zda byla cena zaplacená investory přiměřená, anebo nikoliv. Ocenění je provedeno pomocí šesti různých metod, a to metody srovnávací, indexové porovnávací, Naegeliho metody třídy polohy, reziduálním způsobem, Sammetovou metodou a oceněním podle předpisů. Součástí práce je i analýza pražského trhu se stavebními pozemky.
