Market analysis of PR agencies in Czech Republic in the period 2013 - 2015
Jakubcová, Klára ; Loužek, Marek (advisor) ; Křítková, Soňa (referee)
The work analyzes market of public relations in the Czech Republic in the period from 2013 to 2015 based on the available data. Data come from research for The Association of PR Agencies (APRA) and from the balance sheets of selected agencies. The main hypothesis says, there is a monopolistic competition on the Czech market of PR agencies, because there is homogenous product, a large number of agencies, no entry barriers and agencies don´t have market power. I tested the hypothesis by calculating the Concentration coefficient and the Herfindahl Hirschman Index. Both methods confirmed the main hypothesis of monopolistic competition in this market. Work also includes the TOP 10 of PR agencies in the Czech market according to turnovers. It shows that the largest agency in the 2013 was Bison & Rose and in 2014 and 2015 it was AMI Communications. I also compared the changes in income and in prices of services by agencies that are members of APRA. So I can say that between the period from 2013 to 2015 there was a 18% growth in income of agencies, which was caused by higher quality of orders and not by raising prices.

Cabalka, Martin ; Chlapek, Dušan (advisor) ; Kučera, Jan (referee)
This master thesis is concerned with the choice of suitable data quality dimensions for a particular database of economy information and proposes and implements metrics for its assessment. The aim of this paper is to define the term data quality in the context of economy information database and possible ways to measure it. Based on dimensions suitable to observe, a list of metrics was created and subsequently implemented in SQL query language, alternatively in a procedural extension Transact SQL. These metrics were also tested with the use of real data and the results were provided with a commentary. The main asset of this work is its complex processing of the data quality topic, from theoretical term definition to particular implementation of individual metrics. Finally, this study offers a variety of both theoretical and practical directions fort this issue to be further researched.

Geographical analysis of distribution of large carnivores in the moravian Carpathians - applications for environmental education
Šťovíčková, Kateřina ; Romportl, Dušan (advisor) ; Matějček, Tomáš (referee)
Large carnivores are the most important bio-indicators. Their current distribution is connected to large complexes of mountain forests with low-intensity anthropogenic interference. In the Czech Republic, the Moravian Carpathians are presently home to large carnivores such Lynx lynx, Canis lupus and Ursus arctos. This region is also significant in that it connects regions of current large carnivore populations with regions suitable for potential population expansion. Geographical analysis of the distribution of large carnivores in the Moravian Carpathians revealed a positive correlation between carnivores and the mountain forest near the border of Slovakia. Studies for predilection for land cover and geographical relief as well as the influence of human activity were carried out. It was found that Lynx lynx, Canis lupus and Ursus arctos preferred a region with a low human population density and minimal roads. Future spread depends on the conservation of landscape permeability between areas. This work concentrates mainly on the problem of landscape fragmentation, and how spatial and line barriers can cause the loss of biodiversity. A return of large carnivores to our forests will only be possible if road corridors will be designed with respect to the carnivores' habitat requirements, and also through...

Pavol, Jozef ; Novotný, Vojtěch (advisor) ; Ovečka, Libor (referee) ; Šrajer, Jindřich (referee)
The doctoral thesis tries to reflect the collaboration of Catholic priest with the State Security Service (ŠtB). This is done in two steps. The first part illustrates the historical background based on research of archive materials and testimony of living priests - agents. Results of historical research tell us that it is not possible to assess the collaboration across the board just on the registration of agents in secret police register. Core of historical part is a typology of collaboration. It serves as a base for input to the second ethical part of doctoral thesis. The main goal of ethical part is to find objective criterions for answerable and ethical way out from moral dilemmas. Core of this part is theory about ethical compromise with two normative principles - principle of small evil and principle of double effect. The analysis of small evil didn't get a satisfy way out from the situation of blackmail: in the concrete situation it didn't tell us, which evil is smaller and which is bigger. The principle of double effect showed us, that the collaboration in blackmail situation is without proportionate cause, in other words, is counterproductive to their value in universal perspective. The priests hadn't any guaranty, that after consent with collaboration in blackmail, the damage on their side but...

A prevalence of both fatal and non-fatal consequences of smoking, a higher level of mortality caused by tumors related to smoking in comparison with the other states. A prevalence of smoking among adults since the mid 90-ies stagnates, a decrease in the mens' side is moderate. According to the research from 2009, 29,9% of citizens in the age from 15 to 64 in the CR are identified as regular smokers. From the age point of view, a largest rate of smokers is registered in the age category 15-24 years. My work is divided into theoretical and practical work.
